Eight months ago my ranking for this place would have been 5 stars. I've been frequenting this place since moving to the area 3 years ago. And the food has always been prepared well and drivers are fast, courteous and always follow the delivery instructions. However, in the last 6-7 months there's been someone different making the pizza / food. How do I know? It's because I can TASTE AND SMELL THEM ON THE PIZZA. It's the same sting smell that was on a McDonald's cup a worker handed me a few weeks ago. It smells like someone hasn't taken care of themselves in the washroom for a year and just immediately started twirling my pizza dough. It's have 3 separate occasions since the past summer. It might be that there's multiple ppl doing food and I just keep being unlucky, but it's enough to make me stop ordering. I respect everyone and I'm not sure if it's a religious thing or not, but cleanliness cannot be sacrificed when it comes to providing food to the public. I met the manager who seems like a nice guy and the workers I've met have always been decent people. On the strength of that & the previous years of great service, I'll keep my stars at a 3. Just know the issue is problematic and seems to persist so that definitely deserves a 1 star. I hope hands and forearm washing WITH SOAP is heavily enforced from now on. I wanted pizza and wings. I scrolled yelp for suggestions and stumbled upon this place (I'm not from the area). I'm so glad I did. I had it delivered to my hotel and thankfully, it was still hot. I got a meat lover's pizza and old bay boneless wings. It was delicious! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because my boneless wings didn't have enough Old Bay on them. My friend and I ordered some wings and my other friend had a spinach calzone. I ordered sweet chili the wings themselves were cooked good the sauce was okay but could've been a little spicier and not all sauce at the bottom. My friend wings were Korean bbq and she loved the sauce but thought them could've been more saucy, my other friend said his calzone was delicious no complaints. The delivery service was pretty fast and driver was nice. I would order from here again when I visit but would get something different. read more

I order pizza from here pretty regularly...my order is almost the same every time. Sausage pizza, cut in squares (not from here) and I'll grab some mozzarella sticks or wings. Good thing I did tonight! I ordered late...I don't usually. I get my order and it's a Pepperoni pizza. I don't eat pepperoni. So I give them a call. It literally 835 night...so I let them know...they can just credit my account. The guy on the phone is rude! He's like no...let me get this straight is it the correct pizza? I'm like yea I think it's mine...it's cut in squares...but with pepperoni instead of sausage. He's like well make it and send you another one tonight. I explain I'm tired, I'll just eat the mozzarella sticks and give the pizza to a neighbor. Just credit my account. He's like no, well remake the pizza, and I can return that one! I'm like how long will it take? He's like it'll be in like 20 mins. Needless to say. The driver was rude, snatched the other pizza from me...like I was trying to steal a damn pizza from them! Not a slice was missing! And he shoved the other pizza in my hand! I didn't EAT ONE SLICE of the new pizza! Of fear of what was done to it! With that energy! Ordered carry out, a Chicken Parm sub from the Herndon location. What they did right - we ordered extra cheese, they came through on that. The rest of the food was bad. Bread was burnt, and the "chicken parm" seemed to be chopped up chicken tenders. Are trying to call them back as I type, and we've spent over 10 minutes on hold at 2:45 on a Friday afternoon. We did finally connect, and the manager was apologetic and offered to make a new sub or extend us a credit for next time. I was pacing in the hallways of my new office building with no clue what to order for lunch. There are no restaurants near my office, and many of the places that deliver either had a $20+ minimum and/or an outrageous delivery fee (and $30+ for lunch is not my idea of a good time). As I headed back to my office, I saw a Paisanos delivery car pull up to the front of my building. Bingo. I placed my order online and it arrived in about 20 minutes. I ordered a Greek Gyro Stromboli that was easily big enough to feed 2. When the delivery driver handed me the box, I thought he may have mixed up my order because of how heavy it was. And when I opened the box... whoa! I cannot overstate how huge that stromboli was. And it was so.freaking.good. Pizza and Gyros are two of my favorite things, and this stromboli was like their tasty, cheesy, tzatziki and marinara sauced love child. Easily the best and most delicious 9 bucks I've spent in a while. Great lunch! Would definitely order from them again. read more

I've come here quite a bit and other locations of paisanos. This time I ordered a medium pep, mild 8 Ct wings, and the Alfredo. I've been craving Alfredo pasta for a bit so I was a bit excited. While the alfredo isn't bad it has more of a velveeta Mac and cheese taste. The chicken that comes on it is pretty good just not what I wanted. Still good tho. I'm constantly on the search for a local place that creates tasty, NYC-style pizza with zesty sauce and yummy cheese that stretches from the slice of pie to the mouth when you eat it. Manhattan Pizza in Herndon used to do this until it decided to staff itself with nothing but children in the kitchen while skimping on key ingredients (like sauce and cheese and toasty hot crust ... Yeah, I know. I set such high expectations). Well, umm, the search continues. Just put Paisano's on the ever-growing list of pizza places that think they can skimp on everything and we'll just keep handing them our money. Ordered a sausage pizza recently and it was so bland/cold/underwhelming. So if you want a large, circular piece of cold bread with what appears to be a barely visible (or tastable) spread of something red (could have been ketchup for all I could taste) and then some bland, overprocessed and probably left in the refrigerator for ages cheese -- then Paisano's is for you! In the meantime, I found a place that serves pizzas the way I prefer them, at a much more affordable cost: My kitchen. Because of my continued disappointment with places like this locally, I've rediscovered how easy and relatively time-efficient it is to simply buy my preferred pizza shell, sauce, cheese and toppings and just make it myself. As for Paisano's and other local establishments in Herndon: You should consider doing a "field research" trip and take the Amtrak to Madison Square Garden. Get off the stop and find any random pizza place in the surrounding block or two. Order a slice and eat it ... OK ... THAT is what pizza is supposed to taste like. Please make pizzas like that. It can't be rocket science, right? It's just a matter of investing in good ingredients and preparing/cooking them correctly. read more

We called close to closing and our delivery order was happily accommodated. Thank Goodness because our options were limited at that time of day/night. We order a medium combination on a gluten free crust, chicken parmesan, and a child's spaghetti and meatballs. The food was decent, nothing amazing. **Pasta's were not good --- tastes like they make the pasta in advance and then leave them in water the rest of the day until someone orders (think mall food court pasta). We ordered the vegetarian pizza and a custom pizza, the only "complaint" is the pizzas are great sized. The personal sized pizza was enough to feed two, the medium would easily feed three people. The toppings were excellent and the hand tossed crust was perfectly cooked. The garlic knots were amazing, but be warned they are only for true garlic lovers. The tiramisu was an outstanding finish to this family meal. We had the meal delivered to our hotel about two miles away and it arrived about 25 mins after we ordered it. The food arrived hot and in great condition considering the delivery charge was less than $3.00. We will definitely order from here every time we are in the area. They delivered within 40 minutes, had to come to lobby to pick it up, due to hotel rules, food was very good, prices were good, ordered a lasagna, Alfredo, large pizza and water bottles, everything came with napkins, plates & utensils. Definition of football pizza! I am a fan of more of the cheesy style pizza and this is spot on. The garlic butter crust has a great crunch to it. The small/personal pie is more than enough for one person. I went with traditional cheese, hand tossed and absolutely devoured it. 2nd go-to pizza place in the area. My friend talked this place up. Possibly too much. But as much as I wanted to hate on the pizza here, it delivered. There was nothing particularly noteworthy about the pizza, but the toppings were fresh, plentiful and the pizza was delivered to us piping hot. The meatlovers pizza was loaded and had a proportionate amount of cheese accompanying it. I could only handle two slices before I tapped out, but was overall pleased with the experience. We also ordered some cheesecake. It was apparently a little frozen still when it was delivered, but when it thawed out I gave it a taste and it was really creamy and delicious. My steak and cheese stromboli was another story, was completely wrong had peppers, sausage, pepperoni and very little steak. I normally like Paisanos but recently feel like the quality has gone down a bit. Cheese pizza is alright, thinner than what a lot of other chains do, but with a thick crust. Their chicken tenders with honey mustard is actually one of my fave menu items but like I said recently, it's not been as good. Tenders aren't as crispy as they used to be and it seems like food was sitting a while for delivery (had to reheat everything in the oven after ordering tonight) when the restaurant isn't that far away, so not sure what's going on there. I visited Leesburg this past weekend to see family for Mother's Day and decided to get some pizza from this Paisano's, since my local, go-to pizza spot has been a Paisano's nearby for the last several years. Unfortunately, my pizza was ruined either in the process of packaging or the delivery. I got two pizzas and they were both twisted inside of the box with the toppings strewn about. I understand accidents happen, but this was inedible and cold. I had to throw these pizzas away and make frozen pizzas. Unfortunately there's not an online comments option directly to Paisano's for recent orders - and from a minor, prior experience, I know that the Paisano's main website doesn't get a response when issues are sent. I've loved my Paisano's in Herndon long before COVID-19 and should have reviewed earlier. The food is always very fresh. The hand made crust is delicious and very 'airy' and light. I think this franchise is superb. They were among the first places I dared try when COVID arrived. I've recently switched from my regular pizza to calzones, and I think I may be a convert. I have been hankering for a good gyro and this certainly filled the bill. The sandwich was great, lots of meat sliced off the rotisserie, crispy lettuce, onions, sauce and feta cheese. If anything could be better, it would be nice to have a dash more sauce smeared around a little more. That is most definitely nitpicking. The wings were okay. I had them plain with hot sauce on the side. They won't make me reorder them, but they are edible. Order the gyro. To sum it up: Delivery was outstanding Gyro was outstanding Wings were okay. This place claims to have award winning wings. Yah... I'm calling BS. These are typical wings (probably delivered to the restaurant frozen) drenched in a typical hot sauce. They wouldn't even beat Domino's wings. Absolutely nothing special. I've also tried a sub. The bread wasn't fresh. The sauce was from a can. The cheese was rubbery.
