This is a place where you'll probably only want to get takeout and go. The restaurant is a bit dated and doesn't feel inviting. Most customers are coming in to pick up food and go. The setup doesn't provide for an atmosphere where you can converse freely because other customers will likely hear your conversation whether intentionally trying to listen or not. My Caesar salad was fairly easy meh. I generally love Ledo's pepperoni pizza but I'm striving to eat healthier, so I opted for a salad. Good news about the customer service -- The woman who took my order was friendly and had a great sense of humor. The food was ready in a reasonable amount of time. read more

The ledo's Pizza, Upper Marlboro Maryland location's quality has really, really going down since we moved out to Upper Marlboro in 2004. I grew up loving Ledo's Pizza. When we first bought our house in Upper Marlboro, we were elated to know that there was a ledo's 10 minutes away. We frequented it often. Since the pandemic, the customer service has gone down. Customer service went from above and beyond to well below my expected minimum. However, the pizza was so good, who cares about a 3-minute interaction? Well, the last five pizzas that I have ordered from the Upper Marlboro location have been, in a word, TERRIBLE. The crust is always doughy, even when I request "well done". Undercooked the dough is one thing, undercooked sausage is another thing completely. Anyway, I ordered this last pizza from ledo's because my wife likes what they used to taste like. The biggest issue is customer service, or rather the lack thereof. The staff answering the phone are frequently curt and/or rude. I called last week to place an order and they answered the phone with a rude "hold." I hung up and decided to spend my money elsewhere. One thing I do not tolerate is poor customer service. When customers have other options, it is the duty of the business to retain customers. Today my household placed an online order. I go to pick up said order and I'm informed that someone stole the order off of the unattended pickup table that no employees can see from behind their counter. I was expected to wait for a new order and pay the same price? And or to be offered a piece of cake? My time is worth way more. I requested the order be canceled, because instead allowing this business to keep our money, we picked up from another location. While this location is literally 3 mins from my home, I'll just drive 13 mins to the more reliable Ledo location near exit 13 where they understand everyone will not be honest, thus keeping orders like most smart business do. I'd rather not inconvenience my customers w/ possible theft of orders, than to save 10-15 secs to grab a customer's order from behind my counter. I called to order a small veggie pizza. I asked if they make veggie in cauliflower pizza and what comes on it. The girl on the phone said "anything else" so I repeated the question. She yells in the phone saying "I SAID YES" which didn't answer my second question so I asked again what comes in the veggie pizza. She puts me on hold. I'm on hold for about ten minutes. She completes the order, then says it'll be 45mins to an hour. The customer in this location has gotten worse over the years. They hire teenage girls who are rude whenever I call. Pizza is good. It's a sweet sauce style pizza. Small squares. It's good. I wouldn't go out of the way for it. The meatball half's on pizza is good. But quality also varies so much from store to store which is a shame. I have been to some that were inedible & some that were really good. So truly hit or miss. The cooks got confused. I'm okay with human error because I make errors all the time. I was just disappointed because I was really ready to eat. They asked me if I wanted it the wrong way and I said no. So I'm now waiting for the correctly made pizza. Ledos is my favorite pizza! The only thing better is being in Chicago and having deep dish pizza. Ledos also has the best Caesar Dressing.

We recently moved to Maryland and had a hankering for pizza. We kept seeing Ledo pizza as we drove around different areas and decided to try it. We called in our order, a large pepperoni and mushroom pizza. When we arrived we were greeted by the cashier at the counter. She was nice and able to find our order right away. The pizza was OK. Had a different flavor than we were used to. I grew up in NY but have lived in the Detroit area and frequently visited Chicago. Having eaten pizza is many places before I can honestly say this was a little different. The crust reminded me more of the frozen pizza you can get at your local grocery store. The toppings were good, but the pizza didn't give us the flavor we were craving. While this is clearly a popular pizza chain, I don't think we will return. I don't know about the history of reviews because everyone in the DMV always has their "favorite Ledos location". For me, however, every time I come here my pizza is fresh, hot, and super delicious! My toppings are generous while also being served in the Ledos standard--being that every square has a topping per bite. No matter how I order my pizza, I feel like the staff gets the "vibe" of my pizza based on the toppings and portion it off with the perfect ingredient to flavor ratio. My order is always quickly prepared and ready when I come; plus, the staff is super friendly and humorous! I love the small-town feel and look of this location. I'm new to the neighborhood, but I always feel so welcomed that it feels like I've been coming for years! I'm going to eat inside next time. Everyone also says, "Goodbye!" to me on my way out, which is so pleasant. I think the last time I was there, people in the back even said my name? I've come to this location a couple times, usually as a last resort because the location is convenient for me. However, (and this will be the last time) they are constantly getting my orders wrong. Mistakes are generally made because I request well done and they usually never pay attention to the detail, even when the receipt says it. Today, the same issue happened and I called the location when I got home to ask for new pizzas to be made because this location's pizzas always seem undercooked when not requested well done. The female on the phone, presumably the manager (heavy set woman with brown hair) proceeded to argue with me for a few minutes about it not saying well done on her receipt. I explained the emailed receipt I got from ledos clearly states well done. She begrudgingly told me I could bring the pizzas back and she would replace. When I arrived she had an attitude. I attempted to stay pleasant and offered to show her my emailed receipt which she blew off and proceeded to show me her receipt where the special instruction was missing. At that point I just took my pizzas and proceeded back home in the rain...a double trip for me while my kids are complaining about being hungry. Understand covid and restaurants struggling but good customer service is free. Instead of arguing with me, look at the receipt and work on the back end to address the larger issue of the potential system glitch instead of being rude either because you think I'm trying to get over or because it's costing you to remake pizzas. I've never been a fan of this location and will be sure to never recommend or patronize it again. I, instead, highly recommend the ledos location at Richie station. They've never missed the mark and they are always polite. They also open the box so you can confirm your order before you leave. Biggest complaint is the young lady with the burgundy hair and her attitude. She flexed on the older woman asking,"Do you need something to do cause I can give you something now." Tone and body language was crappy. After 20 minutes waiting she asked my name again to confirm my order. I did ask how much longer with response of give me a second, walks in kitchen but no answer. Another employee got the answer for me and was very polite. Franchise owners you need to check your employees especially when competitors are moving in the area. The size of the pizza is convenient for larger gatherings but not worth the terrible customer service. Good Lord... I don't want to come across as neurotic... but for the love of God why do things keep happening to me at this Ledo's. First they don't seem to have it together... then they do get it together... or so I thought... now they've slipped and fallen into... whatever the heck this is... Let me set the scene... Incident 1 (The Camel): I go to this Ledo's and part of my meal consisted of Spaghetti with the works and I also order extra meatballs (this is the part of the order with the issue). When I get my order I run out because I'm rushing and when I get home I notice as I'm prepping it for the other person dining... That there are no extra meatballs. I figured I'd go ahead and deal with it when I went back in to the Ledo's. So when I went back in there one week later, I told them "hey by the way I ordered extra meatballs last time and I didn't get them...". The lady (I now know her name is April) tells me she'll give them to me this time but I should have told them when it happened. I'm like ok... but in my mind I'm thinking... I've just spent $40 on my new meals, $45 on the meals from last week and at this establishment why on Earth would I lie about $2 meatballs...? I feel some kind of way but accept that I should have told them before and went home. Incident 2 (The Straw): So yesterday... (10/20/2020) I bought a couple of meals and one of those meals was a Hot Grilled Chicken Salad with No provolone, with green peppers and onions. Seems innocent enough right? Well... I did a cursory check of my food before I left the ITEMS all seemed to be there... but when I got home I realized my hot grilled chicken salad... didn't have any CHICKEN... I called immediately and spoke with someone there... they asked if I could come back and I told them I'm home now so no I'm not going back tonight... (One of the people who needs to eat on schedule takes insulin so I can't just run right out when a restaurant gets my order wrong...) The person who worked at the Ledo's spoke to someone named Deb and Deb said that i can just get a free salad since the other salad wasn't right. I said ok thanks and hung up... I call Ledo's the VERY NEXT DAY (today 10/21/2020) for my free salad. And here's April (she's supposedly the manager) again telling me that she'll do it just this once but Deb didn't follow protocol and that I was supposed to bring the salad back that day... Never-mind, that I or any customer really, can live miles away from the Ledo's... So I brought the salad I received from the day before (the chicken-less salad o.o) back to the restaurant so that April... the manager can see it REALLY DIDN'T have the chicken on the salad. April had replaced the salad with a new salad and when I showed her the salad I got originally... she... TOOK the salad... The salad that had been sitting in my fridge overnight... to the back. I asked her "you're taking the salad?" She said "yes." (girl what?) And then I wondered what on Earth they planned to do with the salad... So really... I didn't get a 'FREE' salad I got a replacement salad because Ledo's can't get their sugar honey iced tea together. I think... I'm done. I'm quite tired plus they've opened up an Olive Garden so I can just go there or cook my own Italian because this just isn't worth it. And seriously wtf is wrong with this April person... who taught this woman customer service? I mean I know it's COVID but dang I've never seen a place move this way. read more

To start, they don't honor their specified business hours, closing before the time stated on their website, so good luck having an issue resolved immediately. Even worse, their management lacks the knowledge of how to do much of anything... unable to credit back or refund. Idk what changed but this location has went down. The customer service is not as good as it use to be and their attention to detail is off... We ordered waaaayyyy ahead of time (1.5 hours)and was told our food would be ready in 50 minutes. Perfect because we told our party guest 1 hour. Well we got here and the young lady at the front counter was very impatient and short with customers. Its football sunday rush so i get the hurry but dont be rude! So after an additional 10 minute wait after the 50 minutes they already told us, our first pizza and wings were ready. We were told our other pizza was made a large accidentally abd because they were remaking it into a small which is what we ordered it would take an additional 7 to 8 minutes... It was 10! I feel like this was very unprofessional because it wasnt our fault the pizza was made wrong. Maybe give us an option to pay what a large would have cost or give us what you made and chuck it up as a loss... Either way a customer ahould not be penalized for the mistake of the staff. I received a follow-up call from the owner after I went on the website and complained. I understand a lot of businesses are short staffed and with that sometimes comes short tempers. I am also provide customer service at my place of employment and know there a way you treat people. I am going to have faith in humanity and give this Ledo location another chance especially since we have over 25 years of history.
