Short & Sweet ..... I probably will never order from here again. I love LEDOSSSS SOOOO MUCH, so it makes me sad every time I go to a different location and they just can't get it right. My friend and I ordered pizza Saturday night to pick up (pepperoni, half pineapple, banana peppers, and green peppers) and when we opened it back at my place, it hurt my feelings :( The pizza tasted very floury/doughy and the toppings were everywhere. My friend likes half pineapple but I found pineapples all over my side -_- Also, the shape of the pizza was horrific, not even the classic Ledo's pizza shape. I work nearby and have gone there on and off. The quality of the service there varies wildly and the food is decent but a bit overpriced. The reason i'm writing a review because I won't be going back. They've gotten my food wrong a few times and I didn't bother to complain because I'm not that picky. Today I ordered a salad that was missing an ingredient and when I told them i couldn't go back because I was at work offered me a 10% discount on my next salad. Most places would offer a free meal without hesitation and for a repeat customer this should be a no-brainer. I'm good. This was my 1st time in Ledo. Watching my Irish play and realized I didn't have many options for dinner. So, I went the local route. At 1st I thought it was closed when I walked up. But, stepping inside it was quite alive as the young women behind the counter were doing their thing. I ordered the S. Street Cheese steak. It was good. But, nothing compares to home. The bread was soft, the meat to cheese ratio was more meat. But, not overflowing like Philadelphia. Grilled onions were tender and sweet. I would get it again. Worst experience ever!!! I walked into this location in Upper Marlboro because it was close to my home and placed a carry out order. Big mistake! It's a shame that you have to leave your neighborhood to get good service or good food. The young people at the counter taking orders were friendly enough but our order took alot longer than the 20 minutes quoted when we paid. After waiting approximately 45 minutes I asked how long before my order would be ready. Miraculously my pizza was brought out. To my disbelief when I got home I realized that not only was my order incorrect, my pizza was half cooked. The pizza crust that Ledo's is famous for was given to me thick, doughy and undercooked. I ordered a large meat lovers and was given a large pepperoni and ground beef... .basically someone else's order. After a long day at work I just wanted to eat dinner and relax from the day but after eating two slices of this undercooked pizza, I got sick on the stomach and had to throw away our dinner. Against my wishes a family member ordered from Ledos In Upper Marlboro... I picked it up and upon entering I noticed the pizza makers in the were not wearing the mask over his nose or mouth.. it was pulled down Uber his chin and that alone contaminated the mask.. I also noticed another worker handling pizzas boxed up with a mask or gloves on!!! I asked the lady at the front why were her workers not wearing the PPE's .. I then told her I wanted to cancel the order!! No explanation was given and she wasn't able to give me a refund because it was ordered online and I had to call to get it refunded!! Extremely disappointed that Ledos is not being safe!! I work at Adventist Healthcare and I see people die everyday because they are not being safe!! Now i'm very picky with my pizza. I've been going to this location for years and for the most part it has been very consistent making a good pizza. However there have been a few occasions where the texture of the dough is not ideal. The hot wings here however are always an easy go to option. Staff always been courteous and friendly happy to have this location nearby. read more

The service was terrible. I arrived to pick up my order 45 minutes after I placed it, as directed when I called in. After 10 minutes of waiting, I was told they ran out of dough, hadn't even started my order yet, and it would be at least another 15 min. I don't mind a +/- 5 minutes for a carry out order but over 25 minutes late and no heads up when I first checked in is just terrible customer service. I would have canceled the order if I knew I'd have to wait so long. read more

So after going to two ledos pizza Restaurants nearby I decided to leave a review for this one because I have not been disappointed at all! I normally order here because it's close to my job. I normally get a small extra cheese pizza and a large chicken Cesar salad. I have never had any issues with my salad size being what I pay for. I recently went to the new Ledos in oxon hill and then I went to the one in Forestville because I was very dissatisfied with the size of my salad it was literally no bigger than the size of a chipotle bowl. The salad that I get from this particular Ledos is the size of two chipotle bowls side-by-side much wider and larger plus they offer a lot of extra chicken breast with the salad so it's a full serving. It's very unfortunate that all the Ledos do not operate the same in quality in size so now I am forced to drive all the way to Largo from District Heights to get this particular Sally oh by passing three Ledos on the way. I also appreciate that when they tell me my order will be ready at a specific time it is ready at that time. I appreciate the management and the staff for the friendliness consistency and portion size and accuracy of the order. read more

Choosing the pizza place a few nights ago was a debate in our house because I LOVE everything about Ledo Pizza. Their crust is thin, they aren't stingy with the toppings and this is the only place where you don't have to say, "Can we please get extra cheese?" I'm not sure if the person making the pizza is new, but there was little to no cheese on the pizza and we didn't understand where the sourness was coming from. Was it the sauce or crust? One family member made the comment, "This looks like someone returned a pizza, the kitchen staff picked off the toppings and then filled the gaps with sauce that was almost going bad." I fought to have this pizza and it was such a let down. I posted a review today because, in the event there is a new person making these pizzas, I hope this inspires retraining to do better. Lastly, I won't stop rooting this place, but please understand that one row of that pizza was eaten and the rest went into the trash. This pizza cost $22 and it just wasn't fair. I also didn't feel the need to berate the staff who seemed like they were hard at work but I do hope that this review sparks a change. I didn't expect this from Ledo Pizza at all, especially after I have been ordering from this location for almost 16 years. read more

I live in a county near PG County and we have a Ledo's presences; however, I will bypass that location and drive to Upper Marlboro for a Pepperoni and Mushroom pizza from this Ledo's! I will say that I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of toppings and sauce. I did not realize how good this Ledo's pizza could be and when I am paying a premium price, this is what I will expect in the future. I'm a Ledo Pizza cult member haha. My favorite pizza in the DMV and this shop is my favorite one in the area (save the original location in Adelphi that relocated to college park). This location tends to have a slightly thicker crust than the others. They, however, can be a bit more greasy. But, if you're eating Ledo pizza, I assume you're down for a little grease in the veins. Service and wait times vary, but nothing too awful that has kept me away from this location. read more

Horrible pita cheesesteak. The steak meat was in unappetizing chunks, and they used very cheap yellow processed cheese. It contained one tomato, goops of mayonnaise and shredded lettuce. I expected the steak to be stuffed in the pita. The pile of food was dumped on the pita and then folded over. The only edible part of the sandwich was the pita bread. read more

So during a day of football watching, I didn't want to stray far from the television but also wanted something good to eat. Against my better judgement, I decided to give Ledo's another try. I was in the mood for wings and they're the perfect food for a day full of sports watching and vegetation. Unfortunately, going against my better judgement did not pay off. First off, service was curt. If I'm paying for food, crappy food no less, I think it's normal to expect some type of acknowledgement during an interaction. I wish I could throw bad food back at an establishment but sadly it doesn't work that way. On to the food: not good. I'm from the birthplace of wings (B-Lo) so granted my standards are high. Living in the DMV for quite some time now, I've gotten sick of wings that look like they were imported from some famine ravaged country. That being said, I did enjoy the fact that Ledo's wings are pretty big and some of those wings could probably test positive for performance enhancing drugs. The problems were they tasted dry and kinda rubbery. After the first one, I really couldn't stand to eat anymore. They were also bland, which is odd because they were prepared with old bay seasoning (allegedly). Even the blue cheese dipping sauce was so weak it tasted like nothing. On a side note, what is up with the weird food combinations and flavors that folks from Baltimore seem to enjoy? Old Bay and Chesapeake seasoning on wings? Salt and pepper chips? The customer service at this location is horrible. If I don't receive good customer service, I don't care how good your product is, I'm not patronizing your store again. I was visiting my sister and decided to order a pizza from this location over the phone. I came in to pick it up and when I walked up to the register, a lady was there shuffling through papers and was going back and forth to the kitchen. During all of this, a younger lady came up to the front, looked at me, talked to the older lady, and then walked away. Neither one acknowledged my presence. Finally, the older lady said she would be right with me. Instead of stopping what she was doing to assist me, she decided that shuffling through the papers was more important. I could've even given her a pass if she greeted me and informed me that she would be right with me, but that didn't happen. After she finally was done with whatever that was so important, I paid her and she told me my order wasn't completed yet. I waited a few more moments and received my pizza. They had the nerve to have a tip jar sitting there. Here's a tip for you, get some customer service training. I'll stick to the Ledo's on my side of town because even though all the locations I've been to have delicious pizza, they have much better customer service and they don't treat the customers like they're a bother. read more

If you enjoy terrible food with a side of sass, this place is for you. During the middle of a work-day, me and other coworkers went to Ledo's for lunch. First of all, I couldn't get a fountain drink because I was getting food to-go. Yet, my male coworkers were able to do so. Thank you grumpy, female wait-staff. Second, they have never gotten my order correct. The job isn't all that difficult, so I'm not sure why I can't get my poor-quality, over-priced food the way I want it. Third, we were told that our food would take 20 minutes to cook. I doubted that they needed this long, but considering the level of burnt my pizza was able to achieve, I was clearly wrong. Fourth, we ended up waiting over 45 minutes for our food. At this point, one of the waitresses came over and informed us that WE should have said something to THEM about our food. She then proceeded to pull our food from behind the counter in the kitchen. Apparently, it's the customers' job to do theirs for them. Lastly, the pizza was disgusting and over-priced. The cheese was completely burnt and like a square plastic topping atop a soggy piece of undercooked bread and a scant amount of under-seasoned pizza sauce. I even had to ask for the side of ranch, for which I paid $0.75. Needless to say, I won't be a returning customer. I've given them multiple chances and they never fail to disappoint and offend. read more

"I've never seen anyone ever who gave less of a hoot..." Those were the words spoken to me about the staff by my husband during our experience at this joint. Sort of. He used another choice 4 letter word, but there may be kids reading ;) The only reason we even came is because the Thai place up the street opens at 5, and it was 4 pm when we needed a snack. (Sadly enough, Yelp says the Thai places opens at 4 and I was really excited for some pad thai) Anyway, we weren't greeted when we arrived. There were a few seated tables but overall it was quiet. I asked a passing by employee if we ordered up front or at the table. She told us to sit and order. We were ignored for 10 mins. Finally she came back to get our order - wings and a small pizza - with the most dead, couldn't care less look in her eyes and tone in her voice. She took an adjacent tables order at the same time. We finally got our "bottomless" drinks. 25 minutes later, we were still sitting at foodless table with empty drinks. Meanwhile, the adjacent table got served two orders of wings (with plates and napkins), garlic bread, then pizza, then pasta while we just had cups of ice. I started internally counting how many times the waitress walked by and ignored our empty glasses. Over 8 times. On the 9th time, my husband finally asked what the hold up was because he could hear our waitress arguing with the cook In the back. Something about the cook forgot to do the wings but the pizza was ready. So we said go ahead and just bring that. 5 minutes later, the waitress delivered our chicken wings. No napkins, no silverware, no plates. I'm not an animal! This is dinner service 101. When she came back with our pizza, it was cold with no melt to the cheese, like it'd sat on a counter for 15 mins. Which based on our experience it probably did. It tasted like vomit. I finally flagged down our server and asked for napkins. She begrudgingly provided them. My husband tipped 10% - a first for us as we are nearly always 18-20%ers, and more on cheap bills. It was double what I thought he should have left her. I can understand miscommunications, I can understand being busy... But there's never an excuse for poor customer service. At least the wings were good. read more

They say that they were trying to contact people but we never received a call! The young adult staff needs training in their customer service skills. Therefore am holding the the management team accountable for placing untrained staff at the front counter. No greeting or acknowledgement from the front counter staff; so I waited to see how long it would take someone to recognize my presence. After 5 mins I asked if someone was going to assistance and the young lady said they were not taking any more orders. No apology. Here is a teachable moment. "Sir, we are sorry that we are no longer taking walk-in orders this evening and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience". I hope this review will make it to your management staff to help your young staff to be better equipped to handle customers more efficiently and professionally. BTW, the Ledos in Clinton is much more efficient and friendly maybe send the staff over to that location for training. read more

I work a stone's throw away from this Ledo's location. We (the office) have ordered pizzas from here several times for working lunches. I had also ordered a sandwich and fries and picked up but never sat down to eat. I do not recommend taking the fries on the road. They become soggy too quickly. I finally ate in on April 4th. I had Turkey bacon ranch on ciabatta with jerk chicken soup. Sandwich was great but with a name like jerk chicken soup you would expect some heat to it. It was rather bland. I had to doctor it with some of the hot sauce in my bag, pepper and salt. Also, do not sit in the booth next to the front door. Every time the door opens it slams in the the back wall of the booth making for a very uncomfortable lunch. read more

I have to give this place a 4 star rating almost on atmosphere alone. It's a great little "hole in the way" place right along the main "historic" district in Upper Marlboro. Unlike other Ledo locations that are in strip centers and pretty sterile as far as ambiance goes, this place has lots of wood and just enough seating to accommodate a smallish crowd. The waitresses are plenty friendly in a down home way. I'm pretty easy to please so I have no complaints about the food - a steak and cheese sub with the extras I requested, french fries that were actually hot, generous soft drink size that was refilled often. Everyone has always told me that Ledo's pizza is great. I don't know where they are all coming from. This square style pizza sits in a rotating rack under heat lamps and is so saturated with oil that even with 20 napkins, a slice of cheese cangive you a coronary. This is the only pizza that I have ever had to blot on both sides. Even the sauce is filled with grease. The pizza has a decent flavor to it, but will definitely sit in your stomach for hours. Take a pass on this place if you're ever in the area. read more
