They gave me a $0 and charged me 41.19 for November.. thats extremely cruel, rude.. then corporate emails me- mind you I DIDN'T give consent for that nor to be forwarded to a Supervisor but she did ANYWAY.. RUDE! I seem to be owed my credit 41.19, 1000 dollar grant toward my utilities account, and a settlement for their LACK OF COOPERATION, RUDENESS I've experienced... NO WAY! Today 11/6/2024, I called the toll free number asking for assistance because at our property that water wasn't running anymore. The customer care employee, Kawla, went above and beyond, she helped to fix the online account issue assisting to set up the payment and solving any unclear process. Rarely, I my life I came across such a dedicated, experienced and helpful employee. Kawla showed great skills and I am very grateful for what she did today on the phone, hope that Lee County Utilities considers this review. We had an issue with our water meter and water coming out of the top. Whether you have difficulties getting through or feel like you weren't getting your questions addressed soon enough, I certainly hope as your service technician you are able to ask for Fred Simon. Is it me or are the garbage drivers in Lee county completely reckless?? I have never seen anything like this..They are going to seriously hurt someone. I can never tell when you're coming out to shut my water off because it's more than $60 due, even though I have well over $60 in your account already as a trust deposit to buffer this exact situation. Weird how that works, I leave you something to satisfy any chance I will NOT pay you, and you STILL penalize me with attempting shutting off my water over $60 debt, in order to profit $30 as a fee, yes that is 50% of my debt, EVERY THREE WEEKS, even though I consistently pay OVER what is due. I understand what you are doing. Half the bills are electronic, half the notices are paper and you have zero provisions to analyze past account activity for cross reference. NOW you have moved the mail-in address across the country to add more time and possible technically late payments which empowers you to reap a bounty of reconnect fees. Organized chaos is crafty, but immoral. I am a struggling single father of a well behaved teenage boy. His mother was killed 10 years ago and I am all on my own. I budget, I pay over, I maintain and monitor my money and bills very closely. This counties utilities company has been the absolute MOST consistent at surprising me with these charges, which somehow always inflate no matter how much OVER I pay. And will you please explain to me the purpose of the DEPOSIT I left with you to get my water on and move in? What does that money signify? Why would you shut off my service for a debt of 1/3 the money you are holding as a guarantee I will fulfill my duty as a client of this company? read more

These people are absolutely horrible. I called twice because I am a new homeowner who got impacted by a hurricane, and my main water line broke. They treated me like I was a five year old, and hung up on me without offering any assistance. I do not know what I am doing in the "homeowner" world, so it would have been great if they had simply told me, "call a plumber." Instead, they said, "this is not our problem, it is yours," and hung up. Great customer service. If I could switch companies, I would even if it cost me twice as much. read more
