This is my third appointment. At my first visit, I waited nearly three hours before being seen. At my second appointment, I waited for over an hour only to be told the appointment had been canceled because the doctor had an emergency. For this third appointment, I was specifically instructed to call ahead to make sure the office wasn't "running behind". I did, and my appointment was pushed back 15 minutes. However, I've now been sitting in the waiting room for over an hour with no indication of when I'll actually be seen. Communication has also been frustrating. I called several days ago because I was experiencing a complication from my medication and was told a nurse would return my call. After three days without hearing from anyone, I had to call the office again myself. I completely understand that emergencies happen and that delays are sometimes unavoidable. However, when long waits and communication issues become the norm, it makes receiving care incredibly difficult. A great doctor can only do so much if patients can't be seen in a timely manner or can't get the support they need between appointments. Unfortunately, the overall experience has made it hard to justify continuing my care here.

My partner came with me to the appointment, as we were both excited and, given our previous pregnancy experiences, had some questions and concerns. During the visit, Dr. Cropper asked only a few brief questions and performed a quick ultrasound simply to confirm the pregnancy. The ultrasound photo we were given was blurry and off-center, but what disappointed us most was the interaction. When my partner brought up concerns based on our prior pregnancies, they were dismissed with brief, cold responses. Throughout the appointment, I also felt that Dr. Cropper barely acknowledged my partner or made us feel comfortable discussing our concerns. When the office later called to schedule a follow-up appointment, I explained that I was still upset about the care I had received and shared my concerns about how the appointment had gone. The front desk staff told me they would call me back to schedule the follow-up. Instead, I received a letter informing me that Dr. Cropper would no longer be seeing me due to "patient-doctor differences." As a newly pregnant woman, this was incredibly disappointing and upsetting. Rather than addressing my concerns or attempting to improve communication, I was dismissed from the practice. I found the way the situation was handled to be unprofessional and disrespectful. Every patient deserves to feel heard, especially during such an important and vulnerable time. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Dr. Cropper.

After hospital discharge and being up for over 24 hours I was told to come straight in for that original appointment. I was crying sitting in the waiting room and when taken back the nurse asked how my day was. I'm sure she didn't know, but they should make a note when a patient is visiting under those circumstances and get them back quicker instead of sitting amongst other patients and babies. I didn't even see the doctor, but the PA was great. The appointment was unnecessary, though. Visited a few months later for a yearly. Dr. Cropper was cold and unfriendly. I asked a few questions during my exam and she was short. I later found out because I asked about my miscarriage and health that was considered an "additional appointment" and charged. I've never paid for a yearly appointment and always been able to talk to doctor. At that appointment she also performed an exam without my consent. I was in shock because it wasn't something I'd ever experienced and I believe she could tell because she explained what the exam was for (after the fact). The exam was 100% unnecessary. I had just explained something in my health history that would confirm it wasn't needed so I have no idea why she did it. On top of all that, I asked about her being my doctor if I got pregnant again. She said no because I would be high-risk. For reference, I found another doctor and just had a perfectly healthy baby. For all of these reasons I definitely would not recommend Dr. Cropper.

I was told at my 6 week postpartum appointment that the shape of my pelvis was not made to give birth naturally and that I would never be able to give birth vaginally. When I asked if I could even consider having a VBAC, I was told absolutely not, especially because "babies typically get bigger with each pregnancy" (my first born was 8lbs 7oz). A few years later we moved and I got a new OB. Since then I've had two incredibly easy VBACs, amazing birthing experiences, and two babies less than 8lbs. My last delivery was so easy that our baby's name means "rest." I credit both of my VBAC experiences to the Lord's gracious blessings after the complete fear of childbirth and the postpartum depression that came after essentially being told I wasn't built to have children. I give two stars because my child was delivered safely and there was one nurse on staff that was always very friendly, or else I would only give one star.

Granted me and my partner share everything with eachother, the doctor doesn't know our dynamic . Typically, doctors ask these questions in private, either on forms or one on one time, to respect patient privacy and reduce embarrassment or discomfort. Pregnancy is an emotional and important time, and bedside manner matters. Unfortunately, this provider comes across as rushed, dismissive, and lacking compassion. Honestly, he's a rare find. I was also surprised and impressed that the clinic accepts credit cards and provides receipts in digital format. It's a very modern and up-to-date practice. They even have a well-designed website where I can view my appointment details and ask simple medical questions online. I've also been trying to get her office to complete some insurance paperwork since March, and they continue to not fill out the paperwork that I've requested - as such, my insurance hasn't paid and a lab company wants nearly $4,000 for a test that should be covered under my plan. As we were leaving, we found out she is retiring TOMORROW and couldn't be bothered to end her patient relationships she spent so much time building with dignity and professionalism. I was referred here for a colposcopy after an abnormal Pap smear and Dr. Akram nor her staff…read moreexplained to me what to expect or offer any empathy during and post procedure. This was my first ever colposcopy so I was of course extremely scared and anxious. During the procedure I felt so violated as again nothing was explained to me and it was very painful. Afterwards she had me stand up and I began bleeding all over the stool to the table. The nurse had left with the samples at this point and all Dr. Akram said was " oh they didn't give you a pad?" And proceeded to hand me one and walk out of the room. There was no explanation as to why I was bleeding so much, if that was normal or not and no empathy. I left her office and cried the entire drive home feeling like I had been so deeply violated. This is such a horrible procedure to begin with but Dr. Akram made the experience so much worse with her cold demeanor and lack of compassion. I've unfortunately had to have another colposcopy since and it was night and day of an experience. I barely bled at all and that Dr. Went above and beyond to explain things, offer tips during procedure to ease the pain and was very empathetic and made sure I was ok afterwards.
