I asked for a regular pedicure they did not shape my nails, the extra toe nail i needed on my big toe did not look up to part, and all my toe nails were different shapes. I asked for the owner and when he came he didn't want to acknowledge the issues and I asked him voukd someone else finish my toes he stated that they were busy and charged me 35 for a horrible job. They did not want to even put a clear coat. They missed a number of steps during the pedicure and I was very patient. I do not have bad feet snd to be trested like this during s pedicure was Un heard of I will never go back to this shop again. I wish i could post the pictures to show. I needed my nails done pretty bad, so I landed here. It was a mistake. It seemed clean and pleasant when I first walked inside with my significant other. I checked out the menu they had and we were helped almost immediately. From the Manicure section, I went with the Regular Manicure. It was $20. From the Pedicure section, I went with the Regular / Basic Pedi (Men). It was $40. I was guided to sit down for the Pedicure first. After I was seated, I was given a menu. I went with the 1. Lee Nails Spa Pedicure. Pedicure Regular For Men was $40. I tried out the massage on my chair and it wasn't good. The employee did rather bad on cutting my toenails. I got a clear coat on them. My Pedicure was done poorly and it felt rushed. After that, I was guided not too far away at a desk for the Manicure. The cutting of my nails was horrible! She put a clear coat on my nails. It looked weird to me. She twisted my hands aggressively throughout the Manicure. This service felt very similar to the Pedicure, as it was done poorly and it felt rushed. The service was terrible. Everyone I encountered had a nasty attitude. Hospitality was definitely not present here. The employee who did my services was worried about who was paying the bill and a different employee was hungry for a tip. It left me with a bitter feeling. Overall, this place was a bad experience. She went and sat down and started going over receipts. Another employee sat down with her and they chatted. There were two more employees in back and one was on the phone the entire time. DO NOT SUPPORT LEE NAILS & SPA IN MUNSTER INDIANA!!! I have been a customer for years at Lee Nails & Spa in Munster IN. After today, I will never return. My complaint is not against my technician, she did nothing wrong and I hope she finds a better place to work. It is the Asian woman that runs the front desk (and manages the store) that I'm complaining about. I came in for a regular polish change on hands ($10) and feet ($10) according to the sign and I brought my own polish. I paid with a credit card and when the sales slip was presented to me it was for $25! I asked why and the desk/store manager said the price went up (Really? While my nails were drying?). I showed her the price list sign facing me and she said she forgot to change that one. She goes to the front desk and brings another sign with a $15 sticky note pasted over the price for a toe polish change. I told her that for customer service reasons alone, the store should honor the price advertised and remove old signage to prevent confusion. She refused to listen and started yelling at me. I asked how we could resolve this because I wasn't paying $25. I asked if she would void the sales slip and give me another one for $20. She said no. I asked if she could give me $5 in cash from the register if I signed the $25 sale slip and she said no. After more yelling and pointing from her I had to call the police so that I could pay the correct price and not be accused of trying to get services without paying. The police came and she had to admit that it was her mistake for not changing the sign. Then she tried to lie and say I was refusing to pay! But the police knew that wasn't true because I was the one that called them, not the other way around. One of the police officers asked her if she could void the sale and she said she couldn't (which was a lie, I am a business owner and I know the POS device can void your last transaction immediately and no one else had purchased a service after me prior to the arrival of the police). I stated what I knew about POS devices and the fact that I requested this remedy first before calling the police. At this point the other police officer asked me for MY driver's license and explained that he needed it in order to close out his report and I would need a copy of that report if I decided to go to small claims court. ALL OF THIS OVER A $5 DISPUTE?!!! I gave the officer my license and FINALLY she felt pressured to do the right thing (because baby...I will take you to court over this foolishness to make you respect me). She voided the transaction and ran a new sale for the $20 (what I asked her to do in the first place)! Then she tells the officers to tell me not to come to her salon again. I had already told her that I would never return the minute I made the call to the police (10 minutes prior) so...... They lost a good customer today. Friends and family- if we must continue to fight daily to be respected as Black People and as WOMEN then so be it! Let's keep each other informed about our struggles AND our victories! On March 22, 2023 I went to my usual nail shop Lee Nails & Spa the address there is 8000 Calumet Ave Suite 2 Munster, In 46321. I realized after I left and when they were closed that I left my AirPod case and Left pod in the shop which was in the spa chair I sat in. No biggie I said I would go get them the next day. So I activated them as missing.... Later that night my phone alerted me that they had been located at 8105 Woodlawn Ave in Munster. So I drove to the location and contacted the police for assistance to retrieve them. No one answered the door. While we were at the house I noticed a car in the driveway. And like I said before I frequent this nail shop so I noticed a car that looked familiar like one I see at the nail shop. So I took a picture of the license plate in the driveway to confirm that it was someone working in the shop that has them. Maybe they're keeping them safe...lol idk. So next day I go to work and plan to go to nail shop after. But then while I work. I'm notified yet again that my pods updated. OK. So I go back to the nail shop and I asked the workers if anyone found my pods after I left. (There were 3 customers in the shop when I was there that night around 7 and they closed at 8 and about 5 workers the night I left them) The woman at the front(the one that stares close to her phone because she cant see) got super defensive and said no. What are you talking about. We're not responsible for people losing things. I said ok. And I asked who's Lexus is that. She said "We don't have a car. What car?" as she looked out the front door. I said ok. I left. I called the police and sat in my car until they arrived. Police came. Police went in the salon told them that someone removed them from the location and that it was theft. They then told me I could look in the car (that didn't belong to them) that the door was open and I could look in it. Obviously I declined. Because clearly they knew it wasn't in there. So took up enough of police time and we leave. Officer says we'll let's just to over to the address and see if anyone is home. We go to the 8105 Woodlawn Ave address knock on the door as we walk up the the house. My air pods Connect again to my phone. But yet again no one answers. I then say ok forget it because I actually had was heading out of town that night take my losses and let karma go. I give the officer my phone number to update if need be open a claim and I leave. About 5 mins later I get a call to come back to the house. Arrive to the house and who's there???? The workers from the shop. Along with the car that was parked in front of the shop and the house that night. All of the employees of the shop live at the address above. Allowed police to search the house EXCEPT for ONE room that was locked. The reason the door was locked because "the person renting the room was out of the country". HOW IRONIC! A bunch of think about it questions go back in forth between the police myself and the employees about how they could be in their house when they were left them in the shop. She said that because they live close that was the reason my AirPods updated to that address. Now here she is playing delusional, downplaying her intelligence as if she didn't understand how Apple tracking works as she holds a Iphone. Long story long..... The employees and owner at Lee Nails & Spa in Munster are not honest people and will steal from their customers when the opportunity arises. read more

Horrible experience. My pedicure was extremely sloppy. I picked a color and informed her I wanted a color to match. As you can see the colors do not match. My feet are a plum and my hands are like a grey. The lady who did my hands had the worst attitude on earth I asked her a question about the dip it sheer and she got a attitude and got smart with me and told me she know how to do her job however she cut me and left me bleeding and did not put anything in it until I asked. This is THE worst nail salon period. I am constantly giving this place a chance just due to how close it is to my house...and Target. However, not anymore. I came in today to get a no chip manicure and pedicure. I signed into their iPad which is not disinfected after each guest by the way. I picked my color and waited to be seen. I have no idea what position this woman holds, but she is the one with the lazy eye. She told me my number, and asked me what I was getting. The salon was not that busy so I figured I'd only be waiting for a few minutes. Lazy eye comes to get me and places me in a pedicure chair with no water in it and says someone will be right with me. She sets two more women next to me as well... we wait. About 10 minutes go by, and no one has yet to see me or even soak off the no chip that is still on my nails. The woman next to me asked me how long I was waiting, and looked as irritated as I was. She made a phone call to another nail salon and bounced. I asked Lazy eye how much longer and she kept rudely saying "I don't know, whenever they finish". Smh. I waited for a few more minutes because I am in desperate need, but I bounced as well. I called and explained the issue, and they told me to come into get them fixed. They no longer had the color I had used on my nails and the lady told me to pick another color for the nails that needed to be re done. So, instead of doing all of them over for them to match, she was soaking off the 6 and they were going to NOT MATCH. I proceeded. She soaked the ones that were chipping only and put them in foils. She then got up, and next thing I know I was waiting in the chair with ACETONE on my nails for an hour and 15 minutes. While I watched her talking to other nail technicians for over an hour and walking around I could feel the acetone eating away at my nails. I then asked her to take them off as I became impatient and asked what was taking so long. I got the response "you have to wait long if you want them re done" wtf??? This is what I was left with.
