Mongolian Beef

This is a solid option for Chinese food if you're in town! I picked up food here on the way to an overnight stay at Great Wolf Lodge which was ten minutes away. The food was well packaged and they provided plates and utensils. I'm not familiar with Manteca so as I was driving through the neighborhood I was a little scared to go down by myself because the restaurant was located downtown next to a bar. But I had no need to worry! The owner was very friendly and told me the restaurant has been there for over 30 years, they make everything fresh, including the handmade chili paste. They only do to go service- no sit down option. The food was hot and fresh. We ordered the Mongolian beef, general's chicken, orange chicken, salt and pepper pork chop, house fried rice, and house chow mein. Everything was yummy. Beware- the salt and pepper pork chop and the general's chicken has a spicy zip to it. Give them a try if you're craving good Chinese food!

I can't believe I had never been to Lee's before. I went for the first time about 4 weeks ago. I met Lee the owner she was so sweet and personable. The food was delicious. I have been back 3 times since. Now I started ordering for my parents too and they really like the food as well. Tonight I got the prawns with vegetables and steamed white rice which is my favorite. My go to here. The shrimp is always well cleaned and cooked just right. Tonight I also got an order of mushroom chicken to try. So flavorful. My mom got the won ton soup and general chicken and my dad got the combination h plate which is fried rice, chow mein and Kung pao chicken. You can even ask for it mild spiced. You must try Lee's homemade chili oil. Beside great food the service is outstanding. When I called in my order and told her my name she was like "oh you have ordered before". If you haven't tried Lee's you are missing out.

They don't let you substitute any of their chicken combination plates with a different chicken meat.

An amazing home-y spot for Asian comfort food in Manteca :)…read more For appetizers, we got the bang bang shrimp and spicy wontons and both were delicious. I liked how crispy and sweet yet tangy the bang bang shrimp was. This was probably my favorite item we tried! The chili wontons weren't too spicy and they were really generous with the amount of shrimp inside. Shrimp & wonton noodle soup was def a comfort meal growing up, so I'm happy they had that here! Portion size was very generous and broth was tasty. Noodles were cooked well too, and I liked the filling of the wonton. We also got the curry ramen with katsu chicken. The chicken was sooo crispy, it was one of my favorite items. The bacon kimchi flavor had a nice spicy kick to it. The beef chili oil noodles was tasty and I liked the small beef bits. The bang bang chicken had the same sauce as the bang bang shrimp, but I liked how the entree came with rice too. The philly cheesesteak eggrolls were super crispy, and if you're a cheese lover, you need to try this! Overall, a really solid spot for Asian fusion food, and the servers were all extremely nice and patient as well. Service was really quick!

This is the first time I've ever crossed over a Doordash review to Yelp and I think it's for VERY…read moregood reason. I'll comment on the taste in a bit but I want to first highlight something I've never experienced. In all my work-from-home years I've never once had to-go experience where the dishes looked like they'd been plated for table service at the restaurant. Sure some stuff shifted in the Dasher's car but it honestly blew me away. Even the drink was carefully wrapped and put in a little box to ensure it wouldn't leak everywhere. As for the important bit, the taste, man... I have had so many amazing Thai meals at places in the bay area and honestly just assumed the most Modesto would get is some great Banh Mi spots. Obviously I haven't had the chance to try the whole menu but my go-to, Tom Kha, this is the best Thai coconut soup I've ever had! The Pad Thai is as good if not better than what I've had in San Francisco as well. I'm really looking forward to bringing friends and family here to check it out in person! Side note... yes, it's also very expensive ordering via Doordash with their added fees but it's 2026 and it's California. So far my multiple orders have been well worth the price and I expect the same experience in person! (just, you know, without the extra Doordash fee nonsense)

Wowwwwzaaa! Was craving Thai food and gave this little unknown place a try. Never knew this place…read moreeven existed. The restaurant is in a little old school strip mall, supperrrr tiny but don't let that deceive you. Inside was packed and there was a line outside too. Ordered to-go and they said 20 mins but it was more like almost 30-40 min. Truly worth the wait though. Will definitely be coming back to this spot! Also, got a peek in the kitchen and the cooks looked authentic and Thai? That's why it's so yummy! lol.

We had our food delivered to home so I can only rate the food:…read more We all got rice plates and each plate was amazing! My husband got the pork and I got chicken and each dish was well seasoned and tender. The egg rolls were crispy and fresh and I loved the fish sauce it came with. Glad we were able to try this place out. We will be going back again!

My dad suggested King Pho Vietnamese for lunch today, so we decided to give it a try…read more We started with the fresh spring rolls--two rolls cut in half. They were served with more of a hoisin-style sauce instead of the typical peanut sauce. A little different, but still had good flavor overall. My dad ordered the chicken sandwich, and it was much bigger than what you usually get at other places. He said it was really good and definitely filling. ($6.95) I ordered the mild beef stew pho. It wasn't quite what I'm used to--the meat wasn't the typical stew cut and had more fat and gristle, with only a few pieces of beef. It wasn't my favorite, but the broth itself had good flavor. It also came with rice noodles, carrots, and even a couple pieces of lettuce, which was a bit different. Looking around, other dishes coming out looked really good. I'd definitely come back to try one of their sandwiches next time. Service was quick approx 30 seats. The ambiance was casual and welcoming clean, relaxed, and a comfortable spot to sit down and enjoy a meal. Nothing fancy, but it had a nice local feel.
