I can't believe I had never been to Lee's before. I went for the first time about 4 weeks ago. I met Lee the owner she was so sweet and personable. The food was delicious. I have been back 3 times since. Now I started ordering for my parents too and they really like the food as well. Tonight I got the prawns with vegetables and steamed white rice which is my favorite. My go to here. The shrimp is always well cleaned and cooked just right. Tonight I also got an order of mushroom chicken to try. So flavorful. My mom got the won ton soup and general chicken and my dad got the combination h plate which is fried rice, chow mein and Kung pao chicken. You can even ask for it mild spiced. You must try Lee's homemade chili oil. Beside great food the service is outstanding. When I called in my order and told her my name she was like "oh you have ordered before". If you haven't tried Lee's you are missing out. read more

In general I don't like when places use the word restaurant in their name when they are to-go only. While it's something that I might take into consideration, the food alone is enough to make this rating a sub 4. For me this place is a 3/5. I ordered the general chicken and orange chicken. They said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I came maybe about 10 min later. Got the food and tasted it soon after I got to my car. Orange chicken lacking in that orange pop. General chicken lacking in overall flavor. What was the most unforgivable though was the soggy chicken. Eating at its optimal level would be eating it fresh at the table at the restaurant. Next best thing would be in the car as soon as you got it. But it's a to-go restaurant to realistically your eating it at home after it's traveled for however many minutes. As expected when I got home it was soggy. But it was already as soggy as possible to begin with. Why is this place a 4/5 I have no idea. Maybe since I came during off peak hours so they foods just sitting around and there's no fresh food turnover? No idea. Maybe I'll give them another chance one day but who knows. Also factor in that they don't have rice plates and the cost of pure entrees alone and that's a negative for me. I didn't know how lacking Chinese food was in Manteca because I was spoiled by the old Kitty's Kitchen. Nothing compares in the area. read more

We were pleasantly surprised by the authenticity of Lee's when our family was craving Chinese food during our stay at Great Wolf Lodge. We ordered through DoorDash and appreciated that everything came neatly boxed and travel-friendly. We enjoyed every dish we tried -- potstickers, beef chow fun, wonton soup, and one of their combination meals. If you're not sure on what to order, go for a combo! Each combo includes an egg roll, fried rice, chow mein, and a main entrée. The food was flavorful and, best of all, made without MSG. This is a solid option for Chinese food if you're in town! I picked up food here on the way to an overnight stay at Great Wolf Lodge which was ten minutes away. The food was well packaged and they provided plates and utensils. I'm not familiar with Manteca so as I was driving through the neighborhood I was a little scared to go down by myself because the restaurant was located downtown next to a bar. But I had no need to worry! The owner was very friendly and told me the restaurant has been there for over 30 years, they make everything fresh, including the handmade chili paste. They only do to go service- no sit down option. The food was hot and fresh. We ordered the Mongolian beef, general's chicken, orange chicken, salt and pepper pork chop, house fried rice, and house chow mein. Everything was yummy. Beware- the salt and pepper pork chop and the general's chicken has a spicy zip to it. Give them a try if you're craving good Chinese food! read more

I was hopeful based on other reviews, and maybe it was an off night but I'm extremely disappointed. I ordered Hot and Sour soup, ginger beef and a small white rice and it came to $31.56.... Which would've been fine, I understand prices have gone up but the soup was bland and I barely got a single serving of ginger beef. Unacceptable for the price. It was a Togo order (all they do apparently) or I would've addressed this at the restaurant. I will definitely not be returning. read more

Over the weekend at Great Wolf Lodge in the area. My family and I decided to order Chinese food in the area. We are originally from New York and we love love Chinese food. We read the reviews on this restaurant and ordered delivery. They didn't disappoint, we ordered the potstickers, fried shrimp, fried egg rolls, beef with broccoli, sweet and sour pork and steamed Rice. The Chinese food was all there and delicious with every last bite. The service was accurate. The food was clean and they marked the items we knew which item was what. I definitely like the wonton soups better, but then American Chinese food is my least fave Asian food. Combo plates are huge. Plus the food isn't greasy, not so great is you get a LOT of rice & noodles and not so much meat. Next time I'll order a 1 combo plate and 1 main dish. Kept calling and couldn't get through, ended up going there and ordering and it took at least 30 minutes before we got our food. Just be advised they only offer take out. I hope some day in the future they offer dine in, but until then. The food and service is polite and fast. We never wait more than 45 mins for delivery. Came here for lunch i order chow mein fried rice and Mongolian beef, and side order of the garlic fried chicken, the food was ok Mongolian beef short on the beef and the garlic chicken was really salty, but the fried rice and chow mein was good, this place is for take out only No dine in, customer service was good but I have little mix feelings about this place maybe I'll try something else. We love going to Lee's! We always get the combination specials depending on what we feel like having. Food always comes out hot and fresh.

The quality of food is definitely going downhill. The last couple of times I've ordered there was barely any sauce on the entrees. Last time I ordered sweet and sour pork. Thankfully I had my own sweet and sour sauce in the cabinet to make up for what was lacking. Last night, however was the worst. I ordered orange chicken, and it was dry, overcooked, and there was not even enough sauce to cover most pieces of chicken. ALL of their items are extremely bland. Everything I have tried from here is super flavorless and bland. I gave three stars because they are still very generous with portions. The potstickers are very big and packed full of filling and those are the only things that were not overcooked last night. But honestly, what is the point of having huge heaping piles of dry overcooked bland food? I think last night was my last time ordering from Lee's. I hope the quality gets better because I really want to support a local business but at this point I'm going to order from other places in Ripon and Lathrop which have consistently good reviews and food. read more

Tried Lee's today for the first time. Honey Walnut Shrimp was good. Chicken chow mein was tasty. I was not used to the thicker noodles, but was good and good quantity. Lemon chicken was nothing like we have ever had when ordering at other Chinese restaurants. It was small overcooked breaded chicken pieces and not enough lemon sauce. It was dry and had very little meat. Wouldn't recommend it. Service was good. Food was ready when we got there to pick it up. read more

If you are in the area and looking for good chinese food, Lee's is a good option. As of writing this they are only doing to go, still no in person dining. :( Parking is difficult, but if you keep driving you will find street parking. Prices are fair for what you get and for lunch they have combo plates that are big enough for 2. Flavor is pretty good and not greasy. Definitely coming back! read more

I think it's safe to say we have found our favorite Chinese food in the valley. It is located in Manteca, not too far from Lathrop.. but we are so happy we have found the spot to order party trays. We met the owner when we first came here. She was very friendly and so lovely! I personally love their walnut prawns!! Their veggie fried rice and chowmein is also tasty and not too greasy. My family enjoyed their boneless garlic fried chicken. It was a no-brainer; we ordered a bunch of party trays here for my son's party the same week. Clean seating area, but the place is no longer doing a sit-down, but call your order in and enjoy it at home. What we ordered for the party: Large Veggie Fried rice and Chowmein: everyone loved it!!! It fed 60+ ppl, and people were able to take some home. Medium beef broccoli: Perfect portion Medium Walnut prawns: this was gone in less than an hour!!! Super delicious! Highly recommend. Medium boneless garlic chicken: great portion, and everyone enjoyed it at the party. Kids and adults approve Medium Mongolian beef Medium Mixed veggie with tofu We ordered another dish, but I forgot which one it was. Overall our guests loved it!!! The war won ton soup was good but the "combo chicken chow mein not so much. It had too much soy sauce was really brown in color and too much oil. Also no chicken in it and sweet and sour chicken looked old could not eat it ended up in garbage can. read more

The lady seemed really pushy and stressed. She didn't have good customer service, we ordered to go, there's seating but no dine in. I went to the bathroom while we waited for the food and it smelled like a porter potty. I held my breath the whole time. We went to eat our food at the park and there were a few homeless around. I also think the portion could have been more for the price. Definitely won't be coming back because of the hygiene and the customer service. read more
