This place is honestly one of a kind. I enjoyed this restaurant a lot! Pho Island has many options, so diverse.. it will not disappoint you! Me and my family came to review the phó, and we were amazed. Service was fast, and the environment was peaceful and neat. Its called Pho Island so obviously we ordered phó. Broth was clean, flavorful, and warmed my soul. I ascended to heaven when I sipped the broth. Yeah, these people know the tricks. Just give me the recipe at this point! The side of bean sprouts, and other necessities to enhance the phó was also great! But personally, this phó was so good, you don't even need to add other toppings. And though we only came here to try out the phó, we left the restaurant full and happy, more than ready to come back again. Also, THEY HAVE MILK TEAS?! And the Pho Island grand opening in Modesto had a grand deal of 40% on EVERYTHING. Perhaps these deals will come in Manteca, and are definitely worth the hype. So, stop by, eat to your heart's content, and enjoy a delicious cup of boba on the side! Expect me and my family to come back and obliterate the food... :))

Can accommodate large group , indoor dining only . We were bombarded by flies sitting in front of the window area . We were constantly swatting the flies from our face and table area . we sat down right after the employee wiped the tables , it smelled like old stagnant rags . I used my baby wipes to re clean the stench . We liked the sauté pork spring rolls and the chicken wings salt pepper garlic sauce . Disappointed with our pho broth, lacking the savory beef aroma . My youngest and my friend didn't touch their pho after two bite. They stated it's not good , left most of the bowl full. My other daughter ordered the D6 Korean short ribs with rice and fried egg rolls , her Aunt and myself had a taste of her ribs, it has a nice flavor. Unfortunately my daughter found 3 short strand black hair in separate times while eating. I asked why she didn't bring it to my attention, she thought it was hers, when she found it 2 more times she was sure it's not her hair . I reinstated your hair is long past your waist. LOL!!! I waved over one of the male employee he apologized and offered my daughter two options, to remove the food off the tab or remake a new plate.

Got here before 8:40pm on a Thursday night. We were told we can only order out and only soup. The restaurant is supposed to close at 9pm. So we got a large Pho Gai. And we decided to eat in the car since we were very hungry. First taste of the chicken, the familiar taste swamped over me and I yelped "Costco chicken" . The chicken tastes exactly like the Costco rotisserie chicken! I can't believe this chicken pho costs more than $17 and the chicken is from Costco. The soup was a bit salty. Since our car parked in front of the restaurant, at 8:58pm , we saw all the waitresses came out and locked the door! So know that this is not a place you can get in before 9pm and still be served. They start cleaning up at 8:30pm and rush to close their door! Definitely won't come back!

I wish I could give them five stars. Egg rolls are finger size and brought up to the table with a lot of oil, mostly carrots inside.

I will never return. I walked over here to order something food for the lady who owns the house, who was in the hospital. She wanted pho with shrimp and beef and also, a bubble tea. I told the person that was one order. She rang up the pho, which was nearly $20 for the smaller size. I asked her again for the tea. I ordered my banh mi and put both on my card since the lady didn't give me enough cash. I believe the tea was nearly $7 and the banh mi was almost $11. For some reason, I wasn't given a receipt for either order, and I'm not very trusting the first time I order at a restaurant. The pho was given to me in pieces and given to me almost immediately. I was informed that they were making my sandwich when they handed me the tea. The sandwich was handed to me and I wondered where the rest of it was. I'd never seen banh mi so small. I managed to carry everything without a problem. At the house, I assembled the pho and gave the lady the bean sprouts and whatnot to add to it. I tried my sandwich and it didn't taste like anything I'd ever had. They had some sweet sauce on it. The lady didn't like the pho but they seemed to use good ingredients. I was wishing that I still lived in San Jose with some of the best Vietnamese food in the country.

From out of town and dropped in to try. 4 stars for the food. Service-wise they weren't super attentive and ambiance was okay/average for pho restaurants. Broth was flavorful and I had never tried pho with grilled sirloin before. Added interesting flavors to the broth - charred, caramelized, salty, sweet. Meat was very tender and good quality. Kids had the chicken broth and said it was a bit too sweet.

Average pho spot. Came here when there was only one other couple. I was seated right away, given ice water right away, both of which i appreciated. However, my food order came out wrong. The restaurant was so slow that staff was on their phones not paying attention to the two tables that had customers (mine being one of them). There was a lady standing at the register ready with her tables and payment but no one helped her. After a bit she walked back to her table and just waited for someone to notice her. Another customer finally came in after the two tables were finished eating. As far as the restaurant, it was pretty spacious and looked clean. The food wasnt anything special though, just your typical pho. Would come back if I'm craving pho, but I definitely wouldnt have to come back here otherwise.

We were seated quickly and received our food very quickly. The waiter was super friendly. The inside is well decorated and has the smell of Vietnamese food as soon as you walk in. The pho was pretty standard and the milk tea was soooo good. Worth a stop.

Love me my PHO! From the staff being very helpful and fast! My family and I love pho island specially in this cold weather season nothing else compares to a hot bowl of pho! We've tried other pho places in Manteca but nothing compares to the taste they have going on! Highly recommended!

Very nice authentic Vietnamese restaurant. They have a large variety of food and drinks to choose from. Portions are great and prices are reasonable. This is my go-to place when I'm craving Vietnamese food. The restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. Wait staff are very prompt and friendly.

Grand opening so we got 30% off on December 3 on all food and drinks. We ordered the Tiger Milk Tea, Vietnamese coffee, Pho Grilled Beef Ribeye, Vermicelli with grilled pork and pork eggrolls, a side of garlic noodles and then the Grilled Beef Korean Short Rib to go. Tiger milk tea had a strong honey flavor which I enjoyed. Tends to be on the sweeter side so beware, and boba was slightly hard. The Vietnamese coffee was good but also more on the sweeter side than that classic bitterness that I enjoy with cafe sua da. I'd get the tiger milk tea again but would pass on the coffee. Pho Grilled Beef Ribeye was just plain pho with a side of cooked marinated meat, which I've never seen before but I assume it's on the menu to cater to the people in the area who might not like the traditional way of pho where the meat is cooked in the broth fairly plain. The grilled ribeye was GOOD! Juicy and flavorful, however it was on the thinner side. The pho broth was extremely lacking in flavor, it was a plain broth with no essence of the usual components of pho. I would pass on getting pho here personally, I'm from San Jose and I'd say we have some pretty amazing pho there (and homemade of course). But if you're the type of person that likes to drown their broth in lime, sriracha, chili oil, and hoisin then you'll like this spot as the broth is simple so you can dress it up. Vermicelli with grilled pork and pork eggrolls was a good dish, meat was flavorful and eggrolls were crispy. I really enjoyed the side of garlic noodles! Had a good bite to them and really garlicky. The Korean short rib was overcooked so it was a little tough to chew when we got it to go and needed more flavor so I'd pass on this rice plate. I'd come back for the garlic noodles and probably a side of marinated meat, a vermicelli bowl if I'm craving it but I can make that at home. This spot is really small and the tables and chairs are way too close to each other it was hard to go to the bathroom and not disturb any other tables. The service was okay, you can tell that the staff is super stressed out handling a grand opening in such a small restaurant. We met the owners and they were really nice.

The restaurant is connected to (or at least shares a building with) the casino, so parking can be a little tricky. Most of the lot was full when we arrived, and I ended up parking on the street. Inside, it's really cute. They have a great wine display right when you walk in, a cozy dining area, and a small outdoor patio that looked like a nice spot to sit. Service was good. Nothing over the top, but friendly and exactly what you'd expect. The menu sounded fantastic, which made me really excited. We ordered oysters, lobster bisque, filet mignon, scallop pasta, lobster mac and cheese, and I had an Old Fashioned. The oysters and bisque were both okay, the filet and pasta were decent, but honestly nothing really stood out. The biggest disappointment was the lobster mac and cheese. If you love lobster mac like I do and always order it when it's on the menu, I'd skip this one. It wasn't really mac and cheese at all. The sauce didn't taste cheesy, the presentation wasn't appealing, and it ended up being one of my least favorite versions I've had. Overall, it's a nice restaurant with a good atmosphere, but the food just didn't wow me. If someone invited me back for another celebration, I'd happily go. It just wouldn't be my first choice if I were picking the restaurant myself.
