had my Yukon towed there to have a diagnostic done was told it would be $100. I let them know. I had a new transmission in the back of the vehicle just in case that was the problem. They went ahead and installed the transmission without my approval and charged me almost $1400 . when I paid for the services, they gave me the keys and I let them know. I'd be back to pick it up after work they informed me they would be closed however they didn't disclose the damage to the front of my vehicle. It looked like it had been wrecked or someone ran into it I took pictures before I left the parking lot , called Lee's the next morning while they were open for business and was told the vehicle already came in this way I asked to review the tapes to prove it was not brought in this way The employee had attitude and told me to make a police report and walked out on me very unprofessional and I would never recommend this place to anybody I know ever again it's been a horrible experience! read more

Lee's Automotive did a fantastic job repairing my 2007 Subaru Forester. After having it towed from the very top of Crater Lake to their facility I was a bit flustered. I thought I may have had a blown head gasket, but all it turned out to be was very minor and saved my bacon. They could have done what many shops would do and said it is the head gasket and charged me mucho bucks but they were honest and it turned out very well for me. Josh and Gabe helped us out a bunch and allowed us to use their break room and make phone calls to get us back to Canby OR. We were on a road trip visiting Crater Lake when the check engine lit up so we stopped at Lee's Automotive. Josh connected sensor to our truck & told us our mass air flow sensor was dirty so he cleaned it, but recommended to replace. We decided to purchase a new one but it takes a special tool which we didn't have. So, we went back to Lee's & it was 10 mins from closing, but Josh without hesitation stayed a few mins after closing & replaced it & reset our check engine indicator. We just had just passed through town when our van acted up. We thought maybe it was the fuel pump or fuel filter. AAA was awesome and towed us right to the shop. Lee's was pleasant and helpful and since it was closing time we spent the night in town waiting to hear the diagnostic. We got a call around 10:30 the next morning saying the van was ready to go and that it was only the battery terminals that were bad. I was super thankful for the easy fix and to be in the road again so soon. Sadly I have to give a lower review for two key things, the price was high for such a small repair. (About $90). And... We could have let that go as just a roadside repair but what was not good was how they fixed the battery. They left the battery line unsecured and dangling in the fan and fan belts nearly costing us additional hundreds of dollars in repairs had we not caught it when we did. We discovered it when the van started making horrible noises. When we looked inside, the cable was nearly shredded from the fan. I hate too even think of all the damage that could have happened from this one careless mistake! Please check your vehicle before you drive off. read more

While I was still out and about town they asked me if I wanted to come on in right then and there and they would install. Had me pull right up to front door where they met me. Immediately worked on the car, and within minutes they had the part installed. Professionally installed, and I was in and out in minutes. After installation went inside to make payment, charged for the part but service was done for free. Appreciated the fact they got me in so fast, bonus benefit, service was done at no charge. I was on vacation and my check engine light came on. I stopped into Lee's Automotive to get it checked out. He came out to my car, plugged in his magic hardware and checked out the error codes. He showed me fuel injector #5 had an issue on startup but said it wasn't critical. He analyzed the car as it was running and it wasn't critical. He reset the check engine light and suggested I go get some fuel injector cleaner and put it in my fuel tank. He didn't charge me and wouldn't accept any money. Really awesome service! I highly recommend Lee's Automotive. They are more than fair and truly honest. I would definitely take my car there again. A bit over a month ago I brought my car in after my check engine light came on. I was visiting Klamath Falls from Southern California and there wasn't a VW dealership in town. So I took my car to Lee's. The bad news is that they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it since the problem didn't manifest itself again while they had it. The good news is that they didn't charge me anything even though they spent several hours trying to diagnose it. Their honesty and integrity was much appreciated. Give them a try! read more

I have had better experiences. First we brought in my wife's van to have the brakes worked on, it took 3 days. When I picked it up the check engine light was on and they had not even noticed! After driving the van that night we noticed a burning smell from the brakes. When we brought it back it sat there for another day before they could look at it. They said they didn't smell anything and treated my wife like just another "stupid woman" she asked them to remove the wheels and look at the brakes again and he just talked over her and went on to ask for $180 to fix the thermostat. I had to drive into town, and make it very clear to him that he was going to take the wheels off and inspect their repair, and to not treat my wife that way again. Then I asked for him to account for the $180 charge and $70 of it was to read the code. I could get the code checked for free at autozone! I will be looking for another mechanic. read more

A very positive experience. We were tourist from the San Francisco Bay Area visiting Crater Lake and experienced car problems. When cell serviced was restored we contacted a Napa Auto Parts store in Klamath Falls. We related the problems and asked for a garage referral. The first name out was Lee's Automotive. We found Lee's Automotive to be a newer, well kept and neat facility. The interior was neat and clean with a comfortable waiting area. Coffee was on! The staff was busy yet friendly. We related our symptoms to Myron. Rather than being taken advantage of, Myron actively listened to us, spent time with us and went out to inspect the vehicle. Myron drew on his automotive experience to offer plausible explanations as to what may have caused the symptoms. We left with a great sense of relief and made it home without incident. If I could give it zero stars I would. We had so many problems with them. I would NEVER recommend for a foreign car. The broke our BMW more than they fixed it, and they had it for nearly two months. Never again, not only was my gas stolen while they had it overnight *was a full tank*, but they never called to tell me they were keeping it for a extra day and they didn't fix a problem that they were told to do so by the dealership that i bought the car from plus they did something to set my check engine light to come on. I went here to get my window rolled back up as it got stuck in the cold. It cost $85:/ $300+ to get it actually working again. I don't agree with the price at all. It took them maybe 20-25 minutes. That's way too much. But! They were very nice and honest, got me in ASAP as it was snowing and my window was down. My vehicle dealership had me bring my vehicle to Lee's for a specialty repair that they can't do. They kept my car 2 days instead of 1 as promised and when I got it back it was not fixed. Also they left my car outside and when I picked it up, the full tank of gas was now less than a 1/4 tank. Seems that they are not located in a very good neighborhood. They should parked it inside. Further the check engine light was on. The dealer was able to clear the code and told that when the gas was taken the cap was left off and then that it showed on the scanner that the car was over revved. read more

Lees Automotive too advantage of my friends. I loaned my friend Paul my van to drive to Burning Man from Seattle. Somewhere in Oregon, it died on the highway. The tow company hauled them to Lees Automotive in Kalamath Falls where Paul was informed the carburetor was defective and would need to be replaced for approximately $570. Paul is not a mechanic, nor is he particularly mechanically inclined, although he is learning. I, however, am a mechanic and had installed that carburetor myself less then two months prior and had zero problems with it. I called the mechanic myself after Paul called me and told me what was going on. The mechanic informed me the fuel inlet was stripped, so the whole carb would need to be replaced. No way in hell. AS a matter of fact, I now hold that same carb in my hand and it is not stripped. I did notice however that a piece of rubber hose in the box along with the carb (the old fuel hose) seems to have a split in the end. THis mechanic chose to rip off travelers when the fix was actually a $.40 chunk of fuel line. I sure do hope no one else falls for this lousy excuse of a mechanics' tricks. THis place is shady.
