My dad, who's a Vietnam Veteran took his electric bike to this shop to have a tire replaced. He's been taking his bikes to this shop for years. They put a new tire on and didn't connect the electricity correctly. He had to take it to another shop, on Polk street which, thankfully, corrected it for no charge. The supposedly brand new tire is now flat a week later.We will never do business with these people again! read more

I do not recommend Lee's Locksmith. New door locks with security plates - sloppy work, misaligned plates, now being fixed by my husband as the door still has a gap and does not shut all the way. I have an adult 26" Schwinn Meridian tricycle that needed tires. When they were dropped off Lee's bike and whatever shop. They were put on notice that I needed the thinner ROAD tires not the wider off-road rubber. I needed both the two rear wheels trued and new rubber on both. In two days the tires were brought back to me. First- Lee's pinched a tube and then charged me for it's replacement. Minus the slime that was in It. Then they only put new rubber on one of the tires. Anyway, then I tried to put the fender on the side with the new Lee's tire it. No surprise! The fender would not fit over the tire. The tire was way too fat. I ended up at Conte's on Sunrise. They fixed me right up. But, Lee's? I wouldn't have them do anything for me again. They should stick to locksmithing. They just messed me up. read more

Ducked in to scout their used bike selection after a trusted confidante told me Lee's was the place to be(s). This pandemic has me seeking new ways to exercise. I was able to score a used bike in pretty good condition for what was a fair price. I had to come back a day later to get some help replacing the ass-wrecker of a tiny seat that the bike came with for something more suited to my sexiness that I got off Amazon. I have found all the staff (5 people over 2 visits) I've interacted with to be helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable and they didn't make me feel like a dodo bird even though I know nothing about bike riding and the assorted accouterments since 35 years ago when I used to roll that custom chopped Huffy around the neighborhood with my buddy, Sprout. Broke a spoke while riding from Ft Lauderdale on a Saturday. I went on yelp and found this to be the closest bike shop. I called and they said to bring it in and they could fix it right away. They charged $2 for the spoke and $20 to have the wheel trued. The store has a great selection of new and used bikes for purchase. They have all the accessories you need for your bike. Staff was friendly and efficient. The bike mechanic even worked on my front wheel for no charge. I wish I lived closer to this bike shop because they seem very fair with their pricing and services. It has that locally owned small town bike shop feel to it....unlike the big brand bike shops found around town. There is a parking lot and they have automatic doors which makes it easy to wheel your bike in. All bike shops should have automatic doors! read more

I sold my old bike when moving to Fort Lauderdale and did not realize how much I would miss riding so as a result I started shopping around for a bike. Took me a week to come across this place and I found the bike I needed here. Due to the covid situation, finding a good selection of bikes has been very difficult, but this place had the most available and good selection. I am a short person so I ended up getting a smaller bike, a hybrid between mountain and road bike. Fairly well priced. The bike itself is not that special, but serves the purpose I need it for which is a leisurely ride. I was most impressed by the customer service. The lady that helped us out was very helpful. Due to my height and hesitation, she encouraged me to drive the bike around in the street to get a feel for it before buying it. They offer free tune up after a month if needed. Because of the limited supplies right now, I was not able to find some accessories for the bike such as water bottle holder, but hopefully once things improve, they can be better stocked in bikes and other supplies. Lazy = Accident!! I hate to start this kind of review for any company, yet alone for a family owned /local and reasonably good bike shop. Unfortunately this needs to be posted because it could of HURT someone!! Facts: Purchased 2 identical bikes his/hers for my wife and I online. My wife complained instantly that her bike wasnt easy to ride. I tried riding and completely agreed, It was a lot Tougher to ride than mine. I took her bike and mine to Lee's. I explained to them the issues. I asked them to ride the bikes so that they can see the difference in how they rode. They took the bikes for 3 days. When i got the bikes back, i asked them if they took it out, they said no but it will be better because they "tuned" EVERYTHING . They said if she wanted the bike to ride easier, to get slightly thinner tires...makes sense except my bike rode fine with the stock tires. Sure enough, her bike rode excally the same. We decided to talk to the manufacturer about the issue with her bike. I told them, I took it to a reputable bike store in our area. They recommended for us to go to one of their authorized shops as the next step! Problem found!! The front tire was never bolted down correctly. as we rode the bike the tire would slightly wiggle and move against the brake. The technician there stated that it was so loose he was surprised that tire did not come off!! That was the first time we rode the bike after we got from lees. We don't ride much. The bike shop then warrantied the work. The sad part : I went back to Lee's and explain the issue. I was upset that my wife could have been hurt because their technicians never took it for a test drive. Or even tighten down the front tires or even to check to see if they needed to tighten down. I asked for my money back for the "tune up" and the manger said she would olny give some of the money back because it was my word vs hers word situation. WHY IF MY WIFE GOT HURT? Why if a little kid got hurt because their techs were being lazy and didnt do what i paid them to do?!?! I didn't take any money at all because apparently they will need it!!! Eventually somebody will get hurt because their techs don't do their jobs correctly..all the time as they should!! They will get sued to the point of closure. I know i would of, if my family was hurt due to incompetent workers!! Lastly I own a business too! When it comes to safety of my customers and employees that comes first over everything!! I would never ever argue when I put someone's lives in danger over a hundred bucks or so. It's insane. read more

This place is not only a locksmith but also a bike shop. This is probably the best locksmith I've ever been to, and I have tried many. My best friend who lives in South Miami could not find a shop down there to duplicate a key for him. I took it and went to Lee's locksmith, and I kid you not. He was able to make the key that no one else could find and in less than five minutes and the key works great. For the locksmith portion I have never ever had a problem or issue if you need it, they have it and the locksmith is an amazing man who is very knowledgeable, super friendly and informative, as far as the bike shop, they have such a variety and whatever you're looking for they have or will get, they do have a repair shop on site for the bicycles and I love that because you don't find places like this anymore. They have a used bike section at the entrance where repaired bikes are sold at a discounted price. All of their bikes are very high-quality. While it is an old store, they have modern bicycles, but with the old-fashioned value and service that I find lacking and so many other stores, if I could give this 10 stars, not so much for the bike shop because I've only bought one bike from there in all my years of going, but for the locksmith portion, YES! read more

I love coming here. The staff is always so nice and so helpful even if they don't have what you need. And that is VERY VERY RARE that they do not have what you need. Well I went there today because I got a new car and my bike rack fit my old car. I was worried that my new car was not sexy enough for my bike rack. And I also was feeling really lazy about putting it on myself. Lately it's been crazy hot and I don't want to stand outside and get sunstroke on my own. And possibly scratch up my car. So I came out to the shop to get some assistance. Unfortunately cannot remember the gentleman's name who helped me. He was a tall gentleman, salt and pepper hair, just about to turn 60 years old. Anyway he was really nice, he was really sweet, he's really cool. He was nothing but polite and cordial and all that good stuff. My bike rack is on with minimal damage to the car and no sunburn. From day one of my purchase had issues with the staff and the owner after I requested to speak to him. Bought 4 bikes paid over 2k and the service horrible. Used one of the bikes 5-7x and something broke. Came to ask for trade and was willing to take a loss but the answer was "we don't do that but we can fix it for $90". I said ok just give me an offer how much I need to pay extra to get something better and I don't have to wait for the repair or go back and forth. Again answer "we can't do that". I've been going to Lees bicycle since I was 15 years old. Now I'm 65 and Lee's bicycle shop still treats me the way they did when I was 15 years old. Helping me get my bike, in top shape and not charge me a whole lot. I find it's better everywhere you go for a service if you tip. It's a gratuity, you're basically thanking them for helping you the way they did. Everywhere I go if you do me RIGHT, I'm gonna tip. If you jerk me around then it gets complicated.
