Not only are they good guys with an unassuming shop that make you feel comfortable, and know they are honest, but their talents are absolutely amazing, and given with generosity, and quiet humility. I don't see this very often in businesses where they the estimate was more than they actually charged us, where they did the repair in less time than thought, and the technician "popped out our bumper" with a finesse that was mind-boggling! The car looks brand new, and I thought we'd need to repaint, but none of the paint was damaged or flaked off! I can't say enough about how good Lee's Body Shop is. I was unable to find a body shop willing to do a repair in my hometown for my RAM Promaster custom van to have a bit of body damage repaired. It seems that custom vans are a bit more difficult to work on. Lee's Body Shop didn't blink an eye and was able to repair the damage quickly and competently and at a very good price. Although I hope I don't need body work anytime soon, I will absolutely return to Lee's Body Shop if needed. read more

Amazing, honest and fast service! I brought my brand new car in and Eric buffed out a large scratch and made it look almost like new.

We were referred to Lee's by the owner of a Novato exhaust shop, and a friend who had collision repair work done by Lee's in the previous year yielding excellent results. That Lee's has been a family owned business since 1969 also appealed to us. He worked with us on pricing and completion time frame unlike the other shops we approached. Many of the shops that big corporations have bought and integrated into their corporate structure, only care about the bottom line - top dollar amount at all cost - no exceptions. I called to schedule an appointment for an estimate with with owner Eric Schleth's wife-Annie, 1 week after the collision in June 2025. Annie is personality plus, and a welcome conversationalist given the lost art of conversation in the age of social media and texting . She addressed my initial concerns regarding cost, procedure, and time frame. Eric - also a congenial conversationalist - and I then went on to discuss the technical details of the necessary repairs, acquisition, and availability of parts/material required. Availability was the first obstacle - the damaged bumper and urethane cover for our model year and make were no longer available. The only inconvenience was that Eric needed additional time to instead repair the bumper ass'y and urethane cover that other collision shops would have chosen not to address. The end result was stellar, to say the least. It was worth the wait! Friends and family now comment that our 20+ year old vehicle looks like a new car! Great job repairing my passenger side paint. No one likes, to pass some one on GG bridge and hit side view mirrorrs. Theirs flys off jacks up my paint job down the passenger side of my truck. Ughhhh. A true accident that couldn't be helped two big 4x4 trucks driving in our own lanes. WOW!! This place really lives up to all the 5 star reviews. My car was done so quickly and it was cleaned and washed up so nicely when they were finished! The new bumper repair is nearly unnoticeable, you can only tell it's not the original when you see the metallic flake in bright sunlight goes a bit of a different shade than the body. That's to be expected though, from any body shop. The guy in the office is also very nice, friendly and personable. I will definitely return when/if I need more body work. read more

I had to work hard with the insurance company to get them to fix my vehicle when they wanted to write it off as a totaled vehicle. This took some extra time and a few extra phone calls with Eric and the Insurance company but in the end the insurance company paid the have the car fixed. This was my first time using Lee's body shop, I was recommended to come here from a trusted auto mechanic, also in Petaluma. I was very pleased with the completed work, but also with how patient Eric was with how long my car was at this shop while I worked it out with the insurance company. Customer service is Eric's first, middle, and last name. A flying object took off my mirror, loosened the bumper and scratched the car and headlight. Insurance offered me $4K. 1. From the initial phone call he helped problem solve, suggesting I think about spending this much on a 12yo Prius, valued at $6k. 2. He looked at it and said he could get the correct mirror, reattach the tweeked bumper, buff out all the damage and the two headlight covers for ~$400. 3. The mirror he got was a different color so he suggested painting it black and offered to paint the other one to match. You can't tell it wasn't supposed to be that way. He did that and the rest of the work in under 30 minutes while I waited. 4. He only charged me $300! 5. This is how you wish all of life worked. read more

***I didn't actually have work done here*** But hear me out! I needed a plastic spray liner put on the bed of my pickup. The paint in the pickup bed was badly peeling from a previous bad paint job. The guy at Lee's said it would be cheaper to not have it repainted first (which is what I was asking Lee's to do), and suggested I drive right across the street to Rich's to have them do the spray liner instead. I have to leave a review for this amazing shop. I threw myself at Erich unexpectedly immediately following a major freeway accident and he was so tremendously helpful and reassuring. I was sobbing and scared and had my two little girls with me and nowhere to turn. He soothed my daughters, offering cookies and a place to rest and he jumped into action helping me to get a rental vehicle and on the road again. Lee's Body Shop: Excellent Service at a Fair Price A few years ago, someone mashed in my trunk. I went to one of those fancy body shops on Lakeville and they said it would cost $3,000 to replace it. That's crazy-- I would have been paying for their fancy office. I went to Lee's and got the job done for $210. The quality of the work is very high, and the owner is honest and really a nice guy. I had to go back there recently for a minor problem and once again, experienced great service, no nonsense. As a woman, I appreciate it when auto repair places treat me fairly (many do not). Great service! Eric was very friendly and helpful throughout. I brought in my car for a free estimate and was given several options as far as sourcing and level of perfection I was looking for. With the large dent, gouges, and hole in the bumper, it really needed a new bumper, but Eric gave me the option of him just working on it for a few hours at a much lower cost. I went for it and was amazed at how well it came out. You have to examine it really close to even tell that there was a dent or hole. I've had my truck into Lee's twice: once for some chip removal on the roof and another for an insurance-related rear end accident. For the rear end accident the guys were great, they worked with my insurance company and even ate some of the cost on the repair to keep the insurance company from totaling my truck (they knew I wanted to keep it).
