I've personally had a couple of issues with my cars, and he fixed them with ease. One time I came in with a complaint that my car started wobbling at 75 mph. He took it for a quick test drive and immediately found the problem. My tires were out of balance. Since they don't handle that service, he recommended a place where I could get it fixed. I'm a DIY'er and didn't take my entire car here, just needed some plastic brackets on my bumper cover plastic-welded back on. Carl's and G&C were the only two in the area willing to do this. Other shops said things like, "Those brackets break off about 80% of the time we pull a bumper cover off. We just replace the whole thing." In my case that was a $600 part! Plus painting cost! I liked the vibe and country location of Carl's, so left my bumper cover with them and they promised to have it done the next day. Good to their word, I picked it up the next day and found the brackets looked SOLID (WAY better than the flimsy plastic welds from Toyota that had broken). Total price: $100. And no need to repaint. I hate this Camry, seems like it's cursed. This time front end damage. 1st time I bought it to Carl's and it was much better than I expected from the 1st encounter in rural Cotati to the finished product. They def know what they are doing and at a very good price OUT OF POCKET. Quality of work is also superb. I would know because my Camry has been through a few bumper car incidents. The panels and front bumper was actually aligned like new unlike the back bumper when it was removed and repainted from another shop without an accident. The paint is of high quality compared to the other shops I used for this car. I now have a "go to" body shop when in need of body work for my vehicles. Hopefully not from an accident. read more

In the past Carl's use to do mechanic work and I had brought my truck there to have the clutch slave cylinder fixed. They did an excellent job, they were professional, knowledgeable and only used genuine Toyota parts on my Tacoma. Recently a deer hit my truck from the side and I brought the truck to be repaired again to Carl's. They had to repair the whole drivers side and new genuine Toyota parts were used again. Working with people you can trust, that aren't going to cut corners. is also a big factor for me when choosing a business, which is what you get when dealing with Bruce & Helen the owners of Carl's. Great place and I wont bring my vehicles anywhere else. Super grateful my neighbor recommended this place!! A great local owned place with excellent quality of service and prices!!! I have a car with low center of gravity, sits low to the ground and a driveway with a steep incline! If I don't get into/ out of driveway at the exact right angle, I'm scraping bumper and was nearly tearing the darn thing off every time i pull up to a curb! Dealership wanted to replace it and estimated over $1000 for new bumper parts and labor! Ugh! So I waited until I heard about this place. Totally reasonable! They put several screws into the bumper (not visible at all, beautiful seamless work!) to get it well secured in just a couple hours for only $50!! I bought a BMW 328i Wagon last year and the previous owner had quite the relationship of hitting the car against curbs and causing damage. As someone who can't stand the look of scrapes on my car I looked around for the right place to get the last of the large scrapes fixed on the rocker panel. And boy I was so glad that I took the car to Carl's as they did an outstanding job! Not only did they do a perfect job fixing the rocker panel, they also covered up some minor chips on other parts of the car without me even asking them to do it. They went above and beyond with my car and not too often can you say that about any business. Plus after about a week or two I received a handwritten note in the mail for thanking me for bringing my car to their shop and that they were grateful for the business. I was rear-ended last month and referred to Carl's Body Shop through another local mechanic. The staff was incredibly helpful through the whole process. They called to update me regularly about their communication with the other driver's insurance company, managed getting my rental car, and got me in as soon as possible. It's clear that they are thoughtful about their customers's needs. The other driver's insurance company attempted to not pay for the entire expense of my rental car (the repair took four days, and the insurance company said they would only pay for three), and the team worked with me to ensure that the insurance company would pay for the rental in its entirety. Have had my car rehabilitated by Bruce (Carl's son) and his crew several times now. Once when it was crashed (just a little) while getting other work done at a regular auto repair place that shall remain nameless (their insurance had to pay for the repairs), another time when a huge rock hit my hood and dented it as well as took a full thickness chunk of paint off, and most recently to have the roof repainted. Bruce is the first to say that they are not the cheapest place in town to get a paint job, but if you want a repair to look perfect and last, I cannot recomendable them highly enough. read more

Someone sideswiped my car in a parking lot. I wasn't certain where to take it to get it fixed, so I shopped around to get a few different quotes. I chose Carl's for two reasons; Helen was extremely communicative, and Bruce explained very clearly exactly what work he needed to do and the time needed in order to fix my car. He was also very patient with all my questions and concerns which I certainly appreciated. Still, when I dropped it off I felt nervous as I really didn't know this auto shop at all. Boy, did I choose wisely! Helen and Bruce stayed in touch with me throughout the entire process, updating me as needed. I picked up my car this past Friday morning and it looks great! There is no sign that any damage ever occurred! Bruce stuck to the estimate and finished the work as promised. In addition to being reliable and honest, they are also incredibly nice people which always makes everything much more pleasant. So yes, I highly recommend Carl's Autobody. They were truly great! Can't say enough good things! I dented my rear bumper a few months ago and called Carl's to see about getting it fixed. They called back promptly, made time even though they were clearly busy to deal with my car, and patiently gave me honest advice on my best options given my budget. They had my car back to me with a fixed and repainted dent in a few hours, and they even touched up an unrelated spot from last year! When I picked up my car, Bruce explained that there was a traffic sensor embedded in the bumper near where I had dented it, and said to keep an eye on it in case I had jostled it out of place.
