Something about their food makes me want more. It's like a craving that can't be fed unless it's Lee's! I love their fries and milkshakes! They also have awesome veggie burgers and tuna fish sub. All the employees that I have encountered are so nice and accommodating. I love being able to self-serve my own sauces in their to go containers as well. Meh. Like other reviewers said, the food is just OK. Nothing special. I ordered a veggie burger and a banana "shake." The shake was an icy, grainy, smoothie. I didn't even taste any milk or ice cream in it whatsoever. The veggie burger was dry and the cheese wasn't melted. It tasted like a frozen veggie burger. Tried out Lee's Burger yesterday and was overall very disappointed. There's a lot of competition for good burgers out there right now with UBurger, Tasty Burger and Shack Shack. Unfortunately Lee's doesn't stack up as a viable option. The food was more on the quality of MacDonald's than one of those other options. I found the quality to be poor and overpriced. I ordered a burger (which was OK, but nothing special) fries with cheese wiz and a grilled cheese that was barely grilled/toasted at all without the cheese melted. Ever since it arrived in Coolidge Corner, Lee's has been one of my favorite local burger places. Thats what made my latest experience all the more upsetting. I'm not sure if they have recently come under new management or what, but tonights treatment was very unprofessional. We ordered three burgers and three fries for delivery. We only received 1 of the 3 fries. We called immediately and the person on the phone seemed unable to comprehend the issue, or what should be done. We requested the two fries be delivered to us, which seemed like a pretty simple solution, especially since we had paid for them and were looking forward to them. We were told the fries would take up to 45 to get to us, even though we live right in Washington Square! We decided to give Lee's the benefit of the doubt still. Fast forward to over an HOUR later, nothing. We called again and were told that they had still not been picked up. So we just asked for our money back because we were completely frustrated. I used to love Lee's, but this treatment has really made me second guess ever going there again. read more

Lee's Burgers is great. They have great, quick service. I got my burger in less than five minutes! I also got a bubblegum smoothie, which is made with pineapple, strawberries, and apple. You can taste the fresh fruit, not poured out out of a bag like some restaurants. I ordered a classic burger, it was so good. Juicy, fresh beef with fresh lettuce and tomato. The fries were also very good, too. Thick, so you could really taste the potato. One of the best burger restaurants I've been to in a while! 10/10 would come again. read more

I went in to this what I thought high end burger place because it boasted a turkey burger on the front window. The burger came with yes a fresh tasty bun and crisp lettuce, avocado and ok grilled mushrooms(not sure if canned or fresh?) but the bad thing was that the burger was clearly frozen and had that spongy yucky texture when you bite into it! And the taste was gross too! I was pissed and couldn't finish the burger and left a half later with a stomach ache...vowing never to get tricked into eating fake turkey burgers again! Overwhelmingly disappointing. Never have I been so excited for a restaurant to open. I work in Coolidge Corner and have been waiting for Lee's to open for what seems like forever. When I first heard it was opening, I saw the Newton reviews and was excited that we would have an awesome burger place to go to! Unfortunately, I just finished eating the most boring, bland burger and sweet potato fries. When I eat out somewhere, I want a dining experience that I can't replicate at home. Not only could i replicate this, but I think I could do better. The burger had absolutely no taste. Is was like they put patties on the grill with zero seasoning. Frozen? The sweet potato fries were the same. Were they fresh? Maybe? I mean they were hot. But I've also had more delicious frozen fries. My Co-Workers went to Lees when it first opened, and they were even more disappointed than I was. I held out, hoping it was opening day blues. Unfortunately, it seems like it is just how it is going to be. From an operations standpoint, things seem disorganized. My order was supposed to be "to go" but was brought out on a plate. The guy in front of me had ordered ahead, and they somehow lost it, or couldn't figure the computer system out. The kitchen staff seemed a little lost, almost like they needed directions to make everything. Maybe bringing in solid management would help? The interior was bland, and lackluster. Nothing on the walls. Menus boring. Branding didn't seem to exist. This is no Five Guys. It's a basic burger you could make at home. If you want to eat something edible, feel free to go. Short and to the point Burger- not seasoned, well done to over cooked... Crisp crust but bland... My high hopes crushed... Hence the 2 stars Fries- crispy , tasty, delicious Hot dog- a pearl which are the best, cooked well but got a chilli dog and they put it under the dog and only a small amount ... Dissapointing! Quick fix and they could turn this place around - burger- salt And pepper when you cook it and always do med rare - fries-perfect -dogs - Chilli and cheese on top and add some celery salt and onions... Honestly, i stopped in here on a whim because originally i was going for dessert. My expectations were pretty neutral hovering around a comfortable 75°. First impression, lame menu. Nothing stood out and while I'll give it a solid 5/7 for trying some neat combinations nothing looked overall appealing. I got the teriyaki burger because it's harder to screw up teriyaki. The overall burger was unimpressive and wasn't worth it. I got a pretty solid raspberry shake though. Good enough to give it two stars when i wouldn't have given it anything. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! The staff is highly rude and unattentive. I just came here (Sunday night), there was no one in line (and only about 5 patrons eating at the tables), and I ordered the chicken tender appetizer. After an approximately 10-minute wait, I went up to the counter, where the cashier asked me if I needed anything. Yes, my food! She went to the kitchen, and came back saying that it would be ready soon. Clearly, the employees hadn't even processed the order because they were too busy having a good time while talking amonst themselves. A few minutes later, she brought me my food - in a bag, after I specifically answered "for here" when she asked me if my order was "for here or to go." You ever have one of those days when you just "have" to have something. A craving you must satisfy? An itch you have to scratch? I needed a hot dog and Lee's delivered. It was one of the most perfect all-beef hot dogs I have ever tasted. I like my hot dogs with grilled onions, but nothing too fancy. I treat most hot dogs like a vehicle for condiments, but upon first sight, I knew this hot dog didn't need heaping gobs of ketchup and mustard. And I was right. I wasn't expecting much because their burger was average looking, but I was definitely proven wrong after just one bite. The meat patty had a really nice smoky flavor which made me think it was grilled on charcoals. It could be the seasoning though. My friend and i decided to try Lee's since they had a good review from the Phantom. We each ordered a cheese burger with extra bacon, fries, 1 soda and 1 shake, the bill came out to $31. Way overpriced. We looked at our burger's and questioned an employee about our extra bacon, she said there was extra bacon and we only counted 3 small slices. The burger was not good at all and left a after taste that i usually get from lower quality beef. The shake is small, pricey and lacked flavor. I'd rather pay a little more from JP Licks down the street and get a frappe that's bigger and 100% better tasting. I cannot recommend Lee's Burgers, i can do better at Mickey D's at 1/4 the price. read more

I held off on posting my review of Lee's because I thought maybe I had just hit them on an off day right after they opened -- except I didn't. I've been a few times now, and while the burgers are fine, there are a lot of other places in the area offering the same or similar package (I'm partial to TastyBurger and BBCo., not to mention BurgerFi, RIP). Went there today for a burger and fries to satisfy my craving. I ordered a simple cheeseburger which was good - a standard burger. Not greasy and a pretty decent sized patty which was a plus. You can add lettuce, tomato, & onion for free. Maybe a pickle too but the burger purist in me doesn't believe pickles belong on burgers. I had it with sweet potato fries and LOVED them! I like to judge a burger on its taste without all of the extra condiments giving it more flavor (I also just really don't like anything, so my burgers are basic). I ordered a hamburger with only lettuce, pickles, ketchup & bacon, paid for my food and sat down to wait. I'm backwards so I read the reviews after paying. I saw multiple posts about the burger being bland & was scared I'd be disappointed. The burger isn't spectacular but definitely not as bad as I feared. There's SOME flavor, just enough for it to be edible. My fries look really good & I even think they would be had they not been fried in old oil. They definitely have that taste. This is the third time, consecutively, that Lee's Burgers has failed to prepare the proper and correct order. There was a time when they were our 'go to' (2-3 orders monthly over the past three years), but they have fallen from grace. Over the past month it has become virtually impossible to call in an order and have it correct upon delivery; even when placed on-line, they still have failed, ranging from improperly prepared burgers (ie charred and burnt when the request was for medium rare; stale buns; to incorrect dressings and/or missing completely). A call to them resulted in complete ignorance of the problem, a complete lack of empathy, and borderline contempt. Subsequently, when we called back about an hour later and asked to speak with a manager, we were told that none was available; then asked to speak with the shift supervisor, also told that none was there... really??? A further call another hour later yielded the following response from the individual who answered their phone: "well, we have a lot of new staff and they don't know all the procedures yet..." That was it, no concern, not even the thought of correcting the order... left a message requesting a callback from the manager; still haven't heard back days later. Lee's is a good simple budget burger joint that was sorely needed in Coolidge Corner. You could always get a good burger in a the area but it never from a dedicated burger joint. Sometimes you just don't want to deal with hostesses, waiters and tips and just want to belly up to a counter and order good old American comfort food! It's extra special that it is related to Lee Burger Place in Newton Centre which is a well established local favorite just down Beacon St. The food is excellent. Onion rings, jalapeno cheese fries and the bacon cheese burger are some of my favorites. What keeps it lacking is the decor comes off as cheap and the menu is too complicated. Stopped in for lunch the other day with a friend, and I was pleasantly surprised. I was looking to try someplace new, and she suggested we go to Lee's. I was having one of those "I really need to eat my weight in food" days..so stopping for a delicious burger was the obvious option. The staff was extremely friendly when taking our order. I opted to get a cheeseburger with fries and a drink. The burger was juicy and delicious..and the fries were delightful..plus they came in a huge portion (I couldn't even finish them and I went there on a mission to scarf down as much as I could). All in all..we had a great time at Lee's and I'll definitely stop in here sometime with my husband when we're looking for a good burger! read more

Great customer service! Good food. Huge portions. Only reason I didn't give this place five stars is that the mushrooms were not fresh. My sister was in Boston for a night. We went to Lee's. We had burgers and fries. We both enjoyed the food mostly because it was delicious. They also have water, which is nice if you're thirsty. Come here because the food is good and you won't be hungry after you eat the good food. But there's no beer and a burger and a beer is the jam. read more

I come here way too often, lol. But the Burgers are good and I luv how clean it is too. Really open space and they have such a variety of Burgers, Teriyaki Burgers, Turkey, Veggie, Portobello Mushroom Burger just to name a few and of courses you can customize your own. They have the classics or French fries, chili cheese fries, onion rings and they also have chicken strips and more. The staff is super friendly and fast. They call out your name and bring all the burger goodness to your table. This place is great for groups and they have areas to charge your phone or laptop and still chow down.
