I've been here twice in the last month or so and it's a really solid spot for a burger. The price point is a little higher than fast food, but less than those overly expensive burgers at sit-down restaurants, so it's perfect. On one of my visits, I got the Single Jack Burger and liked it so much that the next time I went I splurged on the Double Jack Burger: Single Jack Burger ($8.50) - WOW. This was great. The burger itself was nice and thick, and it had some pinkness on the inside which showed it was real meat and not something pre-cooked. It had a nice smoky flavor and the cheese added the perfect zest along with the burger sauce. The ratios on this thing were absolutely perfect - the right amount of bun, veggies, and meat. The seasoning on the meat was nice and not too overpowering as well - everything fit together harmoniously. I'll be getting this over and over again as I continue to come back here. Double Jack Burger ($11.50) - If I thought the single was great, I figured a double would be double the fun, but it actually wasn't as good. The single had the perfect ratios, but this felt like there was actually too much meat. With double the meat, the seasoning felt a bit off - like I couldn't get the perfect bite and the sauce got drowned out by the meat a bit. It wasn't terrible, but I'd opt for a single over a double. Ordering was really easy too - they have a kiosk in the front where you can choose what you want and pay. The food takes a little time to come out, but it's because they make it fresh! Since my last review a year ago, my husband has recently taken a liking to the hotdog (plain) and comes here every couple weeks to get his hotdog fix. Now that I work from home, I joined him today. When we order here (generally to go- I'd pick up on my way home from work), I normally get a cheeseburger, but this time I got a grilled chicken sandwich - but with one major adaptation: no mayo- sriracha ranch instead. It goes very nicely with the guac! Made it so much more flavorful. I didn't get lettuce so I could enjoy the guac more. Only drawback was the bun mostly fell apart. But I think this is my go to order now. Husband enjoyed his hot dog as usual. He got a second to eat for lunch tomorrow. When I take food to go, though, I tend to eat fries on my way home to enjoy them as they should be eaten: fresh. Does that give my husband the short end of the stick- lukewarm fries? Yes. If he wants them fresh but wants to eat at home he can pick up the food. :) Everyone is always nice here. Decent seating. I am very sad to say I can't go to Lee's anymore. It was my favorite place to get a burger as a vegetarian, and I would always get the b-on burger and waffle fries which are admittedly great. However, despite my loyalty the staff have been consistently rude to me and I guess that it could be because I am transgender. I work in the area and occasionally use the bathroom there, and they treat me differently from other customers when I do so. I am very sad to say I won't be going anymore due to the pain these interactions have caused me and I advise other queer people to get your food elsewhere. read more

We arrived to town 9:30 and this was just about the only place open. We were so grateful! There is something for everyone. We got a teriyaki burger, chicken parm sandwich, classic cheeseburgers. You can get salads too if you wanted. Or even an avocado smoothie. Easy order at the screen near the door and quick service, plenty of seating, plain decor. Was visiting a friend in the Boston area and got a few recommendations from Boston friends to try this place out. Not too far of a walk from the BU campus and is located on a pretty lively street. Restaurant itself has a decent amount of seating and an area to wait for to-go orders. The cashier was nice and helpful picking from their burgers and shakes. Went with a Lee burger mostly because of the name and it seemed unique with a fried egg among other interesting toppings. Paired it with a salted caramel shake and fries to share. Appearance wise it looks like the burger you see in TV ads with a large size and great aroma. As I ate it though, the flavors weren't really mixing together well and it was muddled up by all the topics inside it. Breakfast burgers are definitely a thing, but this one in particular wasn't standing out to me. The fries were great in seasoning and crisp even though they were to-go, and I finished the milkshake before I even got home. Not really an artisanal burger fan to begin with, I was just hoping for something for simple and classic done well. Not too bad of a burger. I got the single jack burger and the patty was a little dry but there was plenty of sauce that compensated for the lack of moisture. The pepper jack cheese could've been a little more melted but it didn't deter from the experience. The bacon cheese fries were pretty tasty as a combo but the fries itself wasn't the best. I appreciated that they kept it separate for a to-go order so it wouldn't get soggy. Service was pretty fast but it also wasn't too busy. Went here for milkshakes and to share an order of fries with a friend for a light afternoon snack.  I've heard great things about their shakes so the expectation was pretty high up there. However, I got to admit I was slightly disappointed with my salted caramel shake. I found it to be way too sweet and the excessive amount of caramel drizzle on it didn't help the situation either. It is probably just a poor choice in flavor, so I would be willing to come back again to try their other flavors! However, the saving grace of the meal was the fries, which I found to be super crispy. Fries with just the right amount of crispiness are hard to come by and I am glad that Lee's Burgers got it down! Though I wasn't blown away, the fries and a curiosity about their other milkshake flavors (and of course their burgers!!!) is enough to make me wanna come back to give this place another try--I hope I'll be convinced next time around. read more

Absolutely recommend for the quality of their burgers and fries. It's not the nicest place to sit down in, but what matters to me is purely food quality. Their burgers are cooked medium and are thick (6oz) for fast food! Tastes like a homemade burger. I got the beantown burger which was like a chili burger. Their regular fries size is big enough to split between 2 people, and they're thickly cut and fluffy with some crisp. Finally their shakes may seem pricey but taste awesome! Finally had the opportunity to check this place out. There was ample seating indoors and no line so I was able to order right away. I ended up getting the teriyaki burger with sweet potato fries and a raspberry milkshake. The milkshake was pretty good though extremely dense (needed to give it a good amount of time the melt a bit). There was a huge selection of fries so I opted the safe route and went with the sweet potato fries which did not disappoint! The main course was the burger and it was pretty good. It was larger than expected (a plus) and the sauce was very savory. I will say though that the cucumbers while very fresh was a bit distracting in texture when mixed with the patty and the bun (which was great btw). In the future I may have them hold the cucumbers if I were to get it again. Will definitely be back when I'm in the area to try their other burgers! read more

Plus they kindly let me use their restroom as a passerby before I came back as a customer. Tried the Bonanza burger (a new edition) bc the tempura banana peppers were calling my name. And it was good. Only recs would be for bun to be a tad softer/fluffier, and patty seasoned. Sweet potato fries were freshly fried with a perfectly lightly crisped exterior. Dipping sauces aplenty w bottles on each table. Tables kept clean and wiped down. Lastly, a neighboring luncher had ordered waffle fries but reg fries were mistakenly brought out. Her order was quickly fixed w a sincere apology and reg fries were packed for her to take to-go. That made me smile, REALLY smile. Our world needs more kindness, and Lee's does just that. read more

Luckily you will not have to Lease a Lee's burger because they are extraordinarily good value for money at around 5 or 6 dollars, big and filling, juicy and perfect. Simple and brilliant, exactly like a burger always used to be, and so often no longer is. They don't do it fancy, although that's not always bad. They just do it right. What to get: a burger, fool. What else: it lees a smile on my face every time. And what: false advertising. Leeds Burger is in Boston, not Leeds (UK) Easily the best burger in Massachusetts (although I haven't tried all on offer, but I have tried the top rated ones), and one of the best value burgers around. It's in Coolidge Corner, named after Rita of course. Open late at night, comparably speaking, and the service is wonderful as well. The guy seemed so nice and happy to make a burger for me, even though it's not his business, he took pride in his work and whipped me up the best burger in Boston. I'm glad it's not Liens Burger or Lice Burger or Leech Burger, because those sound awful. Lychee Burger maybe, if we were in East Asia, but we're not, we're in East Mass. And I hate to be a Masshole about it, but if you don't try this burger before telling people what the best burger in Boston is, then you need to make like a tree, and Lee's. read more

After walking up & down Beacon Street for 10 minutes, we ended up here for the post ceremony & pre-road trip meal for relatives... When you walk in there's a whiteboard full of daily specials, in addition to the menu above the counter. My eye caught the Veggie Burger & was almost a one hit wonder, until the "let me make double sure" was stated...dairy, no dice. I settled for a salad & onion rings. The rest of the crew consumed on Teriyaki, Turkey & Bacon Cheeseburgers, Chicken Fingers & Cheese Fries. I was only able to snap a few pictures since folks were extremely hungry, greedy & most importantly satisfied. The staff seemed to consist mostly of college students I would guess, & they all get an A+ for their exceptional customer service. A cool spot with a huge variety of burgers, hot dogs, fries, milkshakes, smoothies & even Fish & Chips. Truly the most consistently horrible spot in Brookline. The food is ok, nothing special. Shake Shake, and other "gourmet" fast food joints are far better. Their customer service is non-existent. They consistently delivery food late and cold. I've tried giving them the benefit of the doubt but it has just become ridiculous. The straw the broke the camel's Back was tonight when, after 20 minutes of the foos being late, I called to check in. A woman who was hard to understand just hung up the phone. Then when I called back she said "you talk to boy." Then hung up. I waited and called back. A young man, by the name of Tristan answered and explained to me that the "driver took the food but looks like the didn't deliver it." I said "okay so when will be and I assume you will be cooking a new order as since it's now 45 minutes late?" He said he was sorry and that he was new and it was the delivery person's fault. I informed i that as the customer it's all the same, and it's the fault of Lee's Burger. I asked for a refund and he said he couldn't until the manager arrived at 10:30pm. I kid you not. So do your self a favor and order elsewhere. For mediocre food and service it really isn't worth the hassle. read more

Quick fast food joint, supporting the local biz instead of a chain I suppose! They have some unique options you won't find at the typical 5 guys, such as sweet potato fries (which I highly recommend if you're a sweet potato person!). I also got a chocolate milkshake, creamy and thick but melts pretty quick so you're left with that weird consistency between thick chunky middle and melted chocolate milk around, so take a spoon with you! I ended up getting the teriyaki burger which was recommended to me by the cashier, juicy, sweet and flavorful, I typically don't order burgers because they're so messy but this one was definitely worth it. read more

i really liked this place but..... they haven't been consistent on their quality & service. Here are some past experiences: i have noticed the "Lee's sauce" have been coming out less n less. So knowing that, i ask for 8-10 sauces for one order of burger and regular fries. (shown in picture) Every time i ask the older lady for extra, she gives me no answer n gives me a couple. Last time i asked her, I waited till she left and asked the young gentleman and he was nice enough to give me what i asked for. even if they filled the sauce container half way, i wouldn't need to ask for soo much. When you order salads or burgers with certain toppings, sometimes they give u good amount, sometimes it's really little and sometimes they forget. it's a hit or miss situation everytime.
