This was an appetizer. Perfect after a long day's drive north.

Outstanding service and delicious Thai. I appreciate the customization to remove fish sauce. Close to the Hilton.

    $2 1/2 cup white rice

If your in Essex for thai, go to another place. Not great nor authentic and $2 for a 1/2 cup for extra white rice? It costs you about $0.10 to make this.. no thanks.

Came here for lunch on a Monday. Not crowded. Nice family run business with nice ambiance and a variety of options on menu. I had the pork bun which was good, but the pork was dry. My sister had the hot and sour soup which she said was good. They have boba and Thai tea. Prices are reasonable and good service. Parking lot available. Would return to try other entrees.

Good vermicelli and grilled chicken. Every bite was dlicious!

Needed some real vietnamese food. Went by the joint and ordered vermicelli chicken. I was not disappointed. The owner dropped by my table and talked about his career here. He has been cooking these delicious dishes for more than 23 years (with no vacation). You can literally taste the experience in every bite. I really enjoyed the food and service. I highly recommend this place...a but off the beaten path but worth the drive. Too bad the owner cook is taking some needed vacation to Vietnam next week. Should be back in a month.

Bun hoi with shrimp and pork. Asked for bean sprouts to be left out.

Pretty good food but service was just ok. Tempted to give 3 stars because of the service. 2 teens were in charge of the front area, i.e. taking orders, delivering food, and cleaning the tables. Definitely felt like the male was not taking the job seriously at all, almost like we were a nuisance or disturbance. Female was very nice and accommodating. Both were commenting after a large table with children left how dirty/messy children were. This isn't a fancy place so I don't expect prim and proper but politeness re: guests doesn't seem like too much to as for. With that said, the prices are really reasonable and the food was fresh, plentiful, and yummy. Had to ask for mint, basil, lime, and green sprouts with my pho tai (did not come and when I asked, was told it didn't come with it. They got it anyways...). Pho was good though could have used a little more flavor. Good amount of meat in a small. Bun hoi with shrimp and pork was the highlight. Super fresh and delicious. Got an app size of spring rolls (the fried kind) to add to it. App came with 6 yummy skinny rolls. Hubby got 3 and I threw 3 on my bun hoi. Perfection. Stick with takeout (as it appeared most of their business was) and you'll be a happy camper.

Casual dining Vietnamese restaurant with a wide selection. Friendly staff and fast service. The food was okay. I had the Banh Hoi Tom, Thit Nuong (vermicelli noodles with pork, shrimp, fresh veggies and fish sauce on the side) - the meat was a little in the tough side, but tasty sauce and large portion. Price is reasonable and I would go back to try other dishes.

    Mold in the sauce.

The best pad Thai in the area! Always has the best flavor and can be eaten the next day without being dried out.

My favorite takeout in Essex. The pad thai and fried rice were super good, but the #12 soup with tendon stole the show.

We ended up finding the takeout containers on our own, because no one came to check back in. This wouldn't be an issue if the restaurant was super busy, but we were the only ones there at this point. As for the food, we ordered the satay, basil fried rice, and pad see ew. The chicken satay had a decent amount of spices and the picked veg, side fresh cabbage and mint, and sauce went well with it. The basil fried rice and pad see ew were both fine, but kind of lacking in flavor. The tofu in the pad see ew was also kind of greasy. The thing I found most interesting about it was how thin the rice noodles were, yet still maintained a good chew. Overall, it was fine, but I wouldn't go there if you're short on time or under a timeline. As fo

Not only was the food delicious, the server ensured my water was topped and cold, and he also gave phenomenal service during my entire experience. I've always believed small 'Mom and pops' restaurants serve the best 'homey food' and this small restaurant did not disappoint! No upcharge for beef vs chicken or pork. We shared a roll sampler - these skinny rolls had no deep fried grease residue and were favored by others in my group. For me these lacked some flavor and I would have preferred a lighter fish sauce dipping sauce to the hoisin peanut sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed my Hu Tiu Mi - the broth had a rich quality paired with a combination of yellow egg noodles and rice noodles - I liked not having to choose. And the quail eggs were an original tasty addition. Bun Ga Nuon Cha Gio or grilled chicken and egg rolls served over rice noodles was fully consumed - it's worth the extra dollar for 2 skinny egg rolls. The garnish of pickled carrots are a favorite but I miss pickled daikon slices that I'm used to getting at other restaurants. The stir fry beef with white rice was also enjoyed. Fast attentive service. No American Express but VISA ok. NOTE: I feel conflicted about giving it 5 stars because for this area it is a standout and we will definitely return but not the best compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in larger cities

My favorite entree is the vegetables with peanut sauce and fresh tofu. I get an extra container of peanut sauce on the side (one ounce). On the pricier end but they do give you a lot of food for each dish. Everything is freshly made, the only thing I could ask for is a little more flavor to each dish. There is flavor on their dishes just not very strong, for example, I can't tell that there's any garlic in any dish I've gotten. But overall they do taste good! Good service and always ready on time when you go to pick it up. They're even thoughtful enough that one time when I was running behind they called to ask when I thought I'd get there so they could try to ensure the food was hot upon pickup. Currently only do takeout (not sure if there's plan to ever have sit down). Parking outside is not an issue, lots of spots in parking lot.
