Usually for last few years I've been ordering from Esther at Dipnsip & Unni Pastries. I was referred at my friend's wedding as I was looking for cakes and pastries for in-laws. Well it seems ownership has changed and the new owner doesn't give two craps about prior customers, honoring discounts, replying back timely or being more friendly? Was playing email tag and finally submitted the 39 flavors and didn't hear back until after another week and then told they won't deliver only in morning when they know our reservation was for 730pm and they're open until 9? I even replied back and nothing. We own and run several business in lower mainland and in United States and this customer service from Unni Pastries is trash. At least you can do is reply back and apologize? For wasting time when I specifically told you it's for family and friends flying into town for a funeral burial. Will never use their business again. I highly suggest Mello. They replied and helped me out last minute. Shame on you! Learn how to run a business and treat customers esp previous customers who were supporting the business and fellow Krn but it's clear the new owner doesn't care about the customer or quality it's all about quantity. Maybe my 39 donuts which I offered to pay extra for time and packaging wasn't large enough but money is money. Especially during this time and economy. You should've at least replied back and even tried asking us to do pickup as the restaurant is down the road. Do better! Go to Mello which isn't too far and they bake fresh daily better pricing and reviews and consistency! read more

Snack and dessert shop located close to the bustling Denman and Robson intersection. I went for the red bean donut. It was on point. The granulated sugar on outside helps keep it crunchy, and the red bean was sweet but not too sweet and works well. Would come back to try other things. read more

My favorite donuts place in Vancouver. Located on Robson near Stanley Park, it's the perfect place for a tasty afternoon treat. Light and creamy donuts with lots of delicious flavors, as well as other pastries and snacky bits. My boyfriend and I tried the matcha and the black sesame donuts. So soft and light! They felt very healthy, not greasy at all. Really a must try! I also had the rapsberry matcha latte. Best drink I've had in Vancouver. We stopped at Unni Pastries prior to going to Stanley Park since it was close by. Plenty of parking in the area on a Sunday morning. Once we walked in, we saw a cute little bakery with a display case filled with so many baked goods. What we really wanted was the cream filled donuts. So many options. In the end, we picked black sesame and earl grey. The flavors stood out. The cream balanced out the donut. And it wasn't too sweet. Normally when we see donuts filled with so much cream, you think it's going to be super sweet, but that wasn't the case here. Very Asian forward desserts. Myself and 2 others ordered the Premium afternoon tea box for takeout and were amazed at how wonderful it was. The selections were well curated, fresh, delicious and presented beautifully with fresh flowers. We initially planned to take the box with us to the beach to enjoy, but noticed that Unni Pastries has a lovely little patio out front and thought that might be an easier place to enjoy our tea. We asked if it was acceptable for us to sit there to which the staff agreed. The staff went above and beyond offering us plates, cutlery, and cups to enjoy our tea on their patio. Loved how cute it is in there! Found the layout of the store a little odd since we have to walk to the back of the store to see the pastries on display. There were about 5-6 tables and there was a nice steady inflow of customers! I really enjoyed the mocha and loveeed the latte art, but found the earl grey donut a little lacking in flavour. Unni Pastries is a Korean bakery that started out as a delivery/pick-up service, based out of a commissary kitchen. I've been a huge fan for a while and was very excited to try all of their new creations. Although the shop itself is quite small, the interior is very cozy and has a great aesthetic. was invited for dinner over at a girlfriend's place, the theme was korean. i dropped in at unni pastries on robson and denman and decided to pick up a box of 6 assorted sweet specialty donut mix. they include the following: strawberry cream matcha cream earl grey cream chocolate caramel creme brulee, my fave as the top was hard seasonal donut - berry cheesecake, this was also tasty these brioche donuts were fluffy, not dense nor cakey, they're fried to golden perfection, sprinkled with sugar and cut in half to add a generous amount of subtle flavoured cream filling. curious to try a few (all) of the flavours, we carefully cut the donuts in to tiny pieces to have a taste. we managed to finish the entire box after dinner. read more

Unni makes really good pastries. I tried their Matcha Cream Brioche and it was super delicious. One time, I bought red bean butter loaf bread for a friend and that was very delicious. I did find the red bean butter loaf bread a bit too much butter. Also note that for the matcha cream brioche, do not microwave it or else it becomes super liquidy. I do have to say they are very generous on the fillings. I didn't go to the store to get it. I got it from Assi Market. read more

I live in California and was in Vancouver for only 2 days on business and wanted to leave my team with a nice thank you treat. I did a random search on Yelp and came across Unni. The photos looked incredible and they delivered, so I decided to try them. BEST DECISION EVER!!! Extremely fresh, absolutely delicious, and incredibly gorgeous treats! 3.5 stars- Location is easy to find on Robson. Cute shop with pastries and drinks. There's also tea time but I didn't experience that. I was lured in by a June monthly drink special advertised. However, the earl grey latte I wanted was "sold out" on both days that I came (both during morning hours) which was interesting since it's basically earl grey tea with milk and cream...how does a shop that sells a drink with those basic ingredients sell out for days? Suspicious. I ended up getting a chai tea latte instead which was okay and a cinnamon roll which looked good and was alright, but quite sweet and oily so I scraped off half of the cream. read more

These Korean donuts are so good! We got three donuts to share and they were all amazing - fluffy, moist, flavorful, and not too sweet. We got the strawberry, earl grey, and crème brûlée donuts. The earl grey was my favorite. The earl grey flavor was very prominent in the cream and it tasted very fragrant. The crème brûlée was my second favorite because the top crust was so well brûléed and crunchy! That's the best part of a crème brûlée and they nailed it. The strawberry donut was good too, but was my least favorite of the three since the flavors were pretty much as I had expected. It had a regular cream filling with three slices of strawberries on the outside. The place is small, but has a few tables if you want to enjoy your pastries there. The service was quick and there was no line on a Saturday afternoon. I have and would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves donuts! read more

I've been here twice and love the pastries! The bread cube is visually stunning and filled with lots of delicious cream. The London Fog and Americano were quite good. They have some small tables inside to eat in or get it to go. The business hours are a little confusing as there is a difference between Yelp and their website - we showed up at 9am but I think they officially opened at 10am. The store currently doesn't have any signage about hours on the storefront. We ended up walking in when they weren't technically open but they still very kindly served us while they were filling their cases for the day (apparently they were open for wholesale order pickups). The owner also runs Dip & Sip (charcuterie/boxes) and pick happens from this storefront as well (see my review - yum). read more

This cute little bakery is amazing! Saw this place on Instagram and decided to stop by during our trip from Seattle. You can tell that each one of their pastries were made with love and thought. We tried the Mango Tiramisu and it was 10/10 - not too sweet, but deliciously airy and smooth. We also tried four of their donuts and they were perfection. Our favorite was earl gray. My boyfriend chatted a little with the owner while I was in the bathroom and she gave us a free red bean pastry afterwards which was super sweet. The pastry was also yummy. read more

Found pictures of this place online and found donuts so pleasing to the eye that I'd give it a try. I also really like Korean donuts so thought it was a cool concept. There's plenty of options to choose from but I ended up getting one Strawberry cream donut and an iced americano. Donut was pretty good, a "refreshing" dessert due to the cream.
