I was craving for mini donuts so badly. The one shop in vancouver was closed, so I was super happy to see Steveston Village has this mini donut shop! I must buy some before leaving Steveston Village today The mini donuts were freshly made every day. There were different sizes, quantities, and flavours. I only love the cinnamon sugar ones which were the ones that I always had since I was a kid. The customer service was great. They were friendly and efficient. I ordered the donuts, paid, picked up the donuts and left right away. The shop was just a bit too small that it couldn't have so many customers standing inside. Today (Sunday) it was a bit crazy inside. And the staff there couldn't really handle the heavy traffic. A group of 5 customers were standing at the counter and debating on which flavours they were going to get. I felt a bit of annoying as they should just discuss their wants and needs outside and they should not make other customers waiting behind them. Overall, the mini donuts were great. I would definitely and highly recommend others to buy them if they visit Steveston Village. It's hard to find the mini donuts in Greater Vancouver unless you go to PNE, Rogers Arena or one in White Rock. read more

A friend informed me about this cute little mini donut shop and to give a try when in Steveston. Was here yesterday and enjoyed the little cute sweet bites. The shop is small so only one person or one family group inside due COVID safety procedures. Upon entering you can see a tray with the current offering. On the black board is the menu. My friend took the 1/2 dozen in paper cone and a hot chocolate. I decided on the baker's dozen in a box and got to select 13 mini donuts and also ordered a hot chocolate. The donuts were light and the assortment of fillings were not too sweet. Really liked the lemon, salted caramel and Boston Cream. My friend and I didn't like the hot chocolate. Like others mentioned-it tasted like instant packaged hot chocolate and also way to sweet. Please develop a really homemade version to go with the homemade donuts. It has become a family tradition to get a box of mini donuts whenever we go to Steveston. Irresistible one-biters that you can't stop eating. Always get the full 20-piece box so you can enjoy all their flavours, or simply get many of the popular ones like the boston cream, blueberry, or lemon curd. My favorite is the humble cinnamon sugar. I find the others a bit heavy. Unfortunately the hot chocolate is not that great. $11 for a box of 20 mini donuts? That's a steal! I've had Outpost before, but had never visited the actual shop itself till tonight. My family and I were dining in the Steveston Village and were craving a sweet treat after dinner and we just so happened to stumble upon Outpost. During Covid times they're only allowing one guest (or one household) in at a time. This is very much a grab and go set up. They have a big menu on the side and a small display of the mini donuts they have available at the front, so you can see what you'll be getting. We chose the "U-Pick" assorted box and had a mixture of boston cream, cheesecake, vanilla bean, chocolate, cinnamon sugar, and maple glazed. All of them were so cute and could easily be eaten in one bite. I only tried the cinnamon sugar and cheesecake, but I loved both very much. Who knew such a tiny donut could hold so much flavour! The staff were all so sweet and welcoming. The shop was cozy and inviting. The donuts were cute and delicious. That's all that needs to be said! They also had some seasonal lemonade for a reasonable $2, which I used to quench my thirst since donuts are best enjoyed with a drink so cut out the richness. I ordered 2 of every flavour. You could easily get full size Donuts elsewhere for much less money. What you do get are adorable, little Donuts which fit in your mouth and melt with their donutty goodness. I guess one benefit of their size is that you'd need to eat a lot of them to ruin your calorie count. They have mini versions of regular staples like Boston Cream and Chocolate with Sprinkles. I originally just wanted to check this place out wasn't really craving donuts, but once I entered I need to try these cute mini donuts!! I purchased a half dozen chocolate, Boston cream, coconut, lemon, vanilla, and cinnamon sugar. And it tasted delish, soft and fresh the flavour on the top was just right not too over powering. Its was a great little treat. I also learned that she make a mean hot chocolate and homemade marshmallows, which I didn't have time to try. This cozy little nook is hidden beneath some stairs, but once found you can find yourself enjoying some delightful mini donuts and hot drinks (tea, coffee, hot chocolate). Upon stepping into this mini donut shop, you are surrounded by the warm and intoxicating smell of sweet batter being fried in a bubble bath of oil. Half a dozen is 3.95 and a dozen is 6.95. The donut is soft and light and sends you memories from where you stuffed your mouth as a kid at the local Fair. There are TONS of donut shops around town nowaways but Outpost has become extremely popular over the years because it's one of the VERY few places around that does speciality made mini-donuts. Small and cute joint with a very passionate owner that has created more than 10 different flavors. A baker's dozen goes for 8 bucks but they have a happy hour from Monday - Thursday from 1130-200 that if you buy a baker's dozen at regular price, you'll get a half dozen more for just $2 more. My GF and I came in at around 3pm but the lady still let us get the deal because she noticed it was our first time there, what a sweet deal! The donuts themselves are fluffy and not too sweet, we tried all of them and personally I enjoyed the Nutella and Boston cream the best. I've always said that Timmy Ho's needs to make a Boston Cream timbit...but this is the closest thing to that I think I will ever have and that is completely fine with me :P Worth the hype and worth trying out for sure. read more

When someone says mini donuts I think of the ones you get from the fair/carnival/midway/expo (whatever you call it). They're covered in sugar and grease and the first couple taste delicious, but after about 3 you start to feel gross because of all the grease. These are not those donuts. Not saying they are "healthy" donuts, but the are delicious, light pockets of donuty goodness. There are several different flavours available, that I believe change daily (this was my first time here so don't quote me on that). While I was there they had vanilla bean, chocolate, cinnamon sugar, blueberry, key lime, coconut, maple, Boston cream, and Raspberry lemon. There was a deal on that day where if you bought a Baker's dozen you could get another half dozen for just $10 (all together). I thought I'd just get the half dozen for $4.50 because I didn't want too much. I got 2 key lime, 2 coconut, and 2 blueberry. They were all delicious, the donuts aren't greasy at all, but very light (compared to other mini donuts you may have had), and the flavours aren't super sweet. I liked them all, but I think blueberry was my favourite (and I'm not a huge blueberry person). The cafe itself is really adorable, with a couple of chairs and a couch to sit at. The owner was a doll, and super friendly. My friend and I chatted with her for a couple of minutes and it's definitely apparent she's passionate about her business. This is in a little bit of a tourist hotspot (lots of filming goes on in this area, but nothing while we were there) so I guess it can be busy, but it was pretty quiet the other afternoon. If you're around the area you definitely owe it to yourself to stop in to Outpost for some mini donuts. Just get the baker's dozen, cause the donuts are so good you'll definitely want more than 6. read more

The place was just beside me so I figured I'd go take a look. The flavours looked intriguing and delicious so I figured why not try. It's about $5 for 6 donuts expensive considering you can get 3x more for the same price at a mini donuts truck thus however these are "speciality" kinds. This was a waste of money. I expected the donuts to be hot but I guess with icing you can't do that. These were just not very good at all and I was very disappointed. They make the most endearingly imperfect looking donuts - not perfectly round or evenly thick the whole way round but I don't care because they taste unlike any donut I've ever had. These honestly taste like fried cake as they should without being greasy at all. Cinnamon sugar was probably my favourite although the ones with sprinkles and the lemon ones were also fantastic.
