I honestly wish I could give this place 5 stars. I love the fact that they have been serving Slidell for many years and that they have a following of people who wouldn't get a burger anywhere else. I, however, have been twice and probably won't return. The burgers are ok. Not much flavor just a basic hamburger. The thing that turns me off the most is the cold shredded cheese on it. When I bite into a burger, the last thing I want is a lump of cold cheese. The lettuce is actually not good either. Has a strange flavor, but I'm not really a lettuce eater. Fries are also just ok, nothing special. Kinda like fries you would get at a tee-ball game. The service is also just ok. The times we have went the cashiers haven't been very enthusiastic. When you sit down, there's an unnecessary waiter that brings your food to you just 4 feet away and refills your drink if needed. I throw a couple bucks down when I leave even though I never need anything after getting my burger, but honestly I just feel it's unnecessary to pay a person to do this when it's slow. When the place is popping, it makes sense, but when we came in both times there were only a couple of people. It hurts my heart to say it but when my family comes down to visit, this place will unfortunately not be the place I recommend if they are in the mood for a burger. read more

Great Burger joint, we were looking for a one off place to grab a great burger and we found it. The only downside is that they don't have american cheese for their burgers. The use shredded chedar....... LOL I just brought slices from home and put them on it! Tasted phenomenal! read more

First off this is not the current address in Slidell. This place is located on Gause Blvd next to a skating ring. Same company from what I was told so same story same food. Large American styled onion rings, steak fries and real ground beef burgers with all the trimmings. I'm not an onion fan so I take my burgers without the onions mixed in which is different from the one in Metairie who to my disappointment doesn't offer the hold the onion option. I love this place! The fresh ground beef laced with fresh chopped onions make for an awesome burger! The chili dogs are better than any place in town. I've put the chili on my burger, which sends it to a whole different level. The service is great they have a roving hostess making sure the drinks and condiments are full. Absolutely delicious food! The burgers are full of flavor. I starved myself all day so I could try the one pounder. Well I should have starved myself for a couple of days to take that big boy down. It was great and surprisingly easy to handle for being so huge, but it was a lot of burger, which was a great thing. I only forced myself to finish it because the server told me she downed it in under 5 minutes, though I let her retain her time record! Speaking of service, it was great!! The counter staff was very helpful when ordering and even made suggestions on how we should order so we could get the most for our money. The hardworking server was very friendly and personable. She made sure we didn't want for anything. The gentleman, possibly the owner or manager, came out and checked several times and explained that my burger would be taking longer because of the side. I even witnessed him bring change out to an older couple sitting nearby who was accidentally overcharged when they paid. I fed my family of four for around $40, which with the amount of food we got, was a real bargain. We will definitely be back again and again! read more

My mother in law took me and my husband to Lee's and we had the hamburgers. First, they have an AMAZING deal for two hamburgers with fries, drink AND apple pie for less than $20. The service was amazing! You can not pass up this deal for the hamburgers! We WILL return and enjoy these DELICIOUS burgers!!!! read more

I have to say Lee's is amazing but the prices have just gotten to be too much for a burger and fries. So now It's just an occasional treat. And the staff are wonderful too but we can have lunch at Copelands for the same amount of money. read more

Employees are great and very helpful, will even offer to help you carry your takeout order to your car. Best burger in Slidell! Awesome juicy and well-prepared burgers. I had the original Lee hamburger and the dressed combo of sauteed mushrooms, lettuce, tomato fit so well with the tender juicy burger. You even get a Hubig apple pie with your meal. good eating. great service read more

I know that Lee's has history and I ate at Lee's in the 80's. Unfortunately I can't remember why I liked it then. Now the burgers are overpriced by a factor of at least 2 and the presentation is amazingly bad. Paper instead of a plate and the burgers arrived sloppily put together with the bread sliding off the bun. I would have understood if the price was a lot less and would probably have given another star. read more
