Lee's has the best hoagies I've found in the Bensalem area. I stopped in after Work. I was craving my favorite. Kosher Style Hoagie: Beef salami, roast beef, corned beef, turkey breast and provolone. I usually get what they refer to as a "half" it's plenty for one person. This is my favorite hoagie next to an Italian. Everything was great. I also got an order of fries. These guys have always made a decent hoagie. Sadly they are right next to a Wawa which has probably hurt them. Quality wise they have Wawa beat, but speed wise not so much. I'd rather have quality so on my latest trip I had their Italian, substituted the onions for hot peppers. Italian meats included a peppered ham, salami, and what looked like capicola and another ham. The Provolone cheese on it was mild and the peppers were more of a chopped up relish style .... the bread was fresh and 9" .... bottle of water, chips and the sandwich was $11 and change .....the portion of meats and cheese were pretty good .... very filling sandwich. They should consider adding a mini at 6"! It was an Earth shattering sandwich, but they are solid and have been pretty consistent. read more

Lee's hoagies always uses fresh, high quality ingredients in their hoagies. Typically i will order either turkey and provolone or Italian. Rolls are soft and fresh, with high quality meats and cheeses. Hot pepper spread is excellent. They guys behind the counter are always great, pleasant and appreciate repeat customers. read more

Great food but very impatient, pushy, rushed staff. Especially when you have a coupon or Groupon!! They seem upset that you're using those, yet they offer/sell them!?? Seem to hate questions or any extra's put on sandwiches, even when not busy & when paying for extra's!! Very poor customer service. Use to order regularly from Lee's, but now, almost rarely. There is this one person who answers the phone, whom I believe to be the owner. He's very sarcastic, nasty, and talks down to people. Usually correcting them in mid-sentence. Over the years, Lee's has curtailed their business hours and staffing. I wonder why? With Wawa and, at least, 30 other hoagie and steak joints nearby, I'll make Lee's of Bensalem, my last choice for take-out food. read more

Great, authentic Philadelphia hoagies on fresh, delicious rolls. The Cheltenham half was filled with high-quality meat, seasoning and well-dressed lettuce. Exactly what a hoagie should be. Generously constructed, it amounted to two delicious meals. The crew was friendly, personable and efficient. The guys were happy to neatly wrap the take-home portion of this great meal. Lee's has been in Bensalem as far back as I can remember, and the fact that there's always a customer in the store or a phone order being prepped speaks volumes. Lee's has, hands down, my favorite Italian hoagie. Meats are all fresh due to great turnover, and rather tasty. The proportions of meats, cheeses, seasonings, and condiments are all perfect in a Lee's hoagie, particularly in the Italian with its delciious peppered ham, salami, capicola, and optional sharp provolone (if you like funky cheeses, definitely add it to your sandwich). Lee's signature oil and vinegar blend is addictive, you'll dip your hoagie in the small puddle of it that'll drip off the end while eating. The Liscio's rolls have a great, browned crust that yields to a soft, tasty interior. In short, Lee's has the craft of sandwich making down to a science. Hoagies here never fall apart, are deliciously messy, and are very consistent. Prices aren't bad either. Truth be told, I've never tried their cheesesteaks or other hot offerings, though they have seemed decent to mediocre when I've seen other people eat them. But if you get a cold hoagie from Lee's you won't be disappointed. It's a local favorite for a reason. read more

Solid Hoagies. I got a veggie hoagie with grilled veggies, provolone, and spices on a delicious hoagie roll. For $5.95, it was a huge portion and I was stuffed afterwards. The steakfries ($2.99) were a good touch - crispy, crunchy, and delicious. The rest of my group got the tuna platters ($8) which did give a good portion of tuna over lettuce. Will def return for some takeout hoagie when in town. The place itself needs an update as it looks like the place has not been updated since the 1980s. It sort of felt like the 1980s in there. I'm actually surprised by the reviews here. I'm the first person to not be impressed by food, but I love Lee's. It's in the same shopping center as my job and I love stopping in for a solo lunch. I haven't ordered hot sandwiches from here before, but I've always been a fan of the hoagies (turkey, bacon, and sharp provolone!) They're filling and reasonably priced. Today's search for a quick lunch landed me at Lee's Hoagie House. Not a bad choice. Especially since it was after the lunch hour and there weren't many people there. Service was friendly and quick. The hoagie I ordered was made with quality, fresh ingredients, and what made this a pretty good meal was the fresh and tasty Liscio's roll that it was served on. This shop is usually long closed whenever I'm in this area heading to or from the casino, but I was glad that I got a chance to stop in today. I am guessing from the other reviews that this is hit-or-miss. Luckily, it was a hit for me! We ordered 2 hoagies (1 hot and 1 cold), and they were ready for us in about 5 minutes. They were constructed well, and tasted like what you would expect! The staff were rather talkative with each other, which makes me think that maybe we wouldn't have had to wait 5 minutes if they were focusing. Now I live between the Southampton & Bensalem stores & have taken out from each one many times. Since the COVID problem I've been ordering through Doordash & they select which store they will deliver from. Tonight it was Bensalem & I was VERY disappointed. There was enough meat but they skimped on all the other ingredients & the hoagie wound up being tasteless. Onion rings were overcooked.
