Mama Russo's is easily one of the best local restaurants I've found in the area. I ordered the Mr. Cooper Cheesesteak and mozzarella sticks, and the cheesesteak was honestly one of the best I've ever had. The quality, flavor, freshness, and portion size were all outstanding. I believe this is a family-owned restaurant, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. The staff is always respectful, friendly, and professional. Even when they're busy, they do a great job getting orders out in a reasonable amount of time. My pickup order included mozzarella sticks, pasta, and two cheesesteaks, and it was ready in about 30 minutes, which I thought was completely appropriate for the size of the order. The restaurant itself is a cozy local spot that is very clean and well maintained. The prices are more than fair considering how fresh the food is, the quality of the ingredients, and the generous portions. I've also tried their pizza, and it's fantastic as well. Fresh, flavorful, and consistently good. The only minor downside is that the parking lot can be a little tight, but that's certainly not the restaurant's fault. I would come back here all the time, and I honestly don't know why more people in Bucks County aren't talking about this place. I love their cheesesteak with fried oniond and mushrooms. It's one of the best I have had. It's packed with beef and cheese and so rich in flavor. I really can only eat half at most. It's so delicious and filling and really hits the spot. I also love their jalapeno poppers. I don't really dip it in their marinara, but that marinara is so dang good. I've definitely just boiled a wee bit if spaghetti just so I can use up their marinara. My husband loves the broccoli cheddar bites, which is also good. We love the pizza. We usually get either mushroom or eggplant. Their pizzas come with generous amounts of cheese... like when you go to grab a slice you see strands if cheese like in a cartoon. It's so perfect. Generous amounts of toppings too that's evenly distrubuted so you get toppings in every bite. The eggplant is cut into perfect but sized pieces too and cooked to perfection that you can easily but through it without toppings falling all over the place. We love it here! read more

Girlfriend saw a video on Facebook about this new French Onion Pizza. Only other place we've seen/tried it was Joseph's in Rockledge. With Joseph's though, it's always just a pizza of the week. Maybe see it 1-2 times a year. . Hopefully this stays on the menu here! It tasted much more like French onion soup on bread. Definitely not a traditional pie, so we can't speak to them...but this was delicious and definitely filling! Very heavy slice with the onions, cheese, etc. . Large pie with tax was like $29. . For the love of god though, get rid of those bright ass LED white lights inside. Not comfy, not welcoming ....probably the worst choice of lighting in any restaurant we've ever been in. I recently stopped by Mama Russo's twice while in the area and they were happy visits. I swear I stopped in here years ago with the same fiery guy manning the pizza oven, but the business was under a different name. There is plenty of parking in their private lot and the smaller inside restaurant stays full of eat-in visitors. Make sure you order first before you find seating. I enjoyed chatting with the two main guys behind the counter. They are intense and into their craft. The slice pies move fast so you can feel confident that they haven't been sitting all day. I have to say the variety of slices they had out all looked mouthwatering. On my first trip I had a plain cheese, Brooklyn and Honey Roni. The plain cheese was just ok, I found the sauce to be bland and the cheese to be way too stringy. The Brooklyn and Roni have an interesting sauce. It's sweeter and more like a vodka sauce. The Brooklyn Pie was decent, but the Honey Roni was the clear winner. With the sweeter tomato sauce and honey, the salt and kick of the pepperoni cups gave a great balance to the overall flavor profile. Second trip - I had a Buffalo chicken, plain Sicilian and a square Brooklyn with sausage. The Sicilian was ok, it was fresh and had a nice crust, but the sauce and cheese combo were very bland. The Buffalo chicken was a great slice. Under the cheese and in every bite you get a Buffalo dip taste with shredded chicken. It held together well and was consistent bite after bite. The Sausage Brooklyn was sweet on sweet with the same vodka like sauce combined with sweet Italian sausage. Crushed red pepper flakes gave it fire and it was easily on par with the Roni I had on my previous visit. Although I wasn't blown away by their plain or Sicilian pizza, I think they take it up a notch to great with their gourmet, specialty and Roni square slices. I'd definitely return for those. Where to start, I stumbled upon this place, which is a short drive from my kid's school. I decided to pop in for a slice, and boy was there so many choices to choose from. It's a little overwhelming but in a good way. I now follow their FB page and love seeing all their new pizza slices available. One slice is mighty filling, but if you buy 2, you get a free fountain soda or can of soda. I've been slowly trying a new slice each time. Have yet to be disappointed, but it can be dangerous if you are watching your carb intake, hehe. Also, check out their daily lunch specials! I tried the cheesesteak, and the meat was seasoned and tender on a sarcone roll. The staff is great and very helpful! I just wish there were labels near the pies so you do not have to ask what each pie is. There is a good amount of seating inside, and I always see a good amount of people enjoying lunch. read more

I ordered a pizza, was told before, if I needed any customization to the pie to call them right away. Well I got sidetracked by a serious problem at home and forgot. I called 25 minutes after I ordered and the manager was cool enough to make me a new pie as I wanted it. How nice is that. GREAT customer service, GREAT pizza. The pizza is bland, boring, old tasting, and overcooked. The sauce clearly has canned tomato paste because it tastes like a can! The pepperoni and sausage are cheap tasting, like low-end supermarket hot dogs. The cheesesteaks have low-grade imported meat that needs to be chopped into thousands of pieces in order to be made edible due to the huge amount of gristle present. I know the subject well; I am a former chef! The staff is courteous, the restaurant beautiful, and the neighborhood clean, safe, and tidy. But I will spend my hard-earned pizza dollars elsewhere. This is our go to place! Food is amazing and consistent each and every time. One of our faves is Vito's Brooklyn Pie. Their sandwiches and dinners are also just as delicious. Just tried this Caprese cutlet sandwich and was not disappointed at all. Yes, Mama Russo's Pizzeria has some pretty amazing pizza, but don't miss out on their great cheesesteaks or you are truly missing out. I guess them having a great cheesesteak should not surprise anyone. They do have that 215 area code, which Philadelphia shares with them and Philadelphia is the mecca for great cheesesteaks. The Inferno Brooklyn Pizza is a great choice to go with. This is some amazing pizza and it is so good that it will have your soul singing under a gentle moon. Mama Russo's is a very good pizza joint just off Brownsville Road at Philadelphia Avenue in Trevose. I stopped in the other night for an early dinner consisting of a Brooklyn slice appetizer and Sausage, Pepper & Onion long roll sandwich. I also picked up a couple of steak sammies to go for the late shift family. The dining room was full of local firemen; always a good sign. They were friendly and having a great time. I took the small table near them, which was the only one available. Service started at the cashier where my order was taken, and thereafter my food was brought to me by the lovely cashier/server. The reheated square Brooklyn was quite good - crispy from the revisit to the oven, and covered in a dark red, rich sauce and mozzarella that had a mild spicy bite to it, which I thought was just the right touch. The sandwich was stuffed to overflowing with quality ingredients, especially the sweet Italian sausage, which kept falling out of the roll with every lift and mouthful. I could only eat half. The two steak sandwiches were devoured by my family when they returned home from work early the following morning. They seemed quite satisfied when I inquired the next morning, but unfortunately I did not get a sample nor photo. First impression was highly favorable. I really liked the location, atmosphere and vibe of Mama Russo's. They opened sometime in 2020 and they were busy with take out and dine in orders upon arrival. Plenty of family photos made me believe this is a legit family owned pizzeria. This review is kind of rare because we got the vodka Brooklyn pie as a treat and something that I've been wanting to try but never pulled the trigger. It was a spectacular looking pie. Cooked perfectly well and a great balance of vodka sauce-cheese-crust ratio. This is not a pie I would get often but when in the mood it will more than satisfy your urge. I gave it a 7.1 and Matt give it an 8.2 which are really good scores. I will be back for their Brooklyn and circle pie which I'm guessing will be high 7s. Not for nothing this is probably the best pizza joint in town. Also got a cheesesteak which was nothing to write home about. Roll was lack luster and too soft. We had Mama Russo's catering today at work to celebrate the upcoming Phillies playoff game today. We had trays of hoagies and cheesesteaks, and all of the fixings. They were delicious and well received by our staff of about 80 people. They were fresh, so fresh that they were still being made as we showed up a bit early for our pickup. We appreciated this very much. While waiting I noticed they have a great selection of pizza by the slice. I tried a slice of mozzarella with vodka sauce - it was so delicious!
