I have been a LONG time customer of Lee's Hoagie House. It has been my favorite place to get hoagies and such. That ended this evening. I have never been treated the way the "gentleman " treated me before, when trying to order. He was brusque and condescending. I attempted to ask that the fries be well done. He talked over me, so I repeated it. His response? "Yeah, I heard you"!??? We hung up, then I called back to cancel my order, telling him that he was vet rude. To which he hung up on me. I am saddened that this business has failed me in this way. They have been struggling since the pandemic (reduced hours and smaller portions etc...) but this goes way beyond acceptable. I love Lee's Hoagie House. It's the closest to NYC hero's. Yes, I said hero. In NYC they're called hero's. Lol The bread makes a large portion of the taste of the entire sandwich, although it's not perfect Astoria Bakery hero bread it's the closest around here. I love their Italian and Cheese steaks w/ hot peppers. But if you're ever in the LGA area look up Sal, Kris and Charlie's Deli. Get either The Bomb (fully loaded) or the Italian Combo. The hoagies are tremendous. Fresh deli meats, veggies, and toppings. This place is very consistent and the service is terrific. The cheese steaks a very good, made in a number of different styles. When my partner and I walked into this hoagie joint, it was like we were time warped back into the 1980s. The theme music to "Flashdance" played in our heads and we half expected Kevin Bacon to be seated at one of the booths. Everything about this joint, even the video game machines, was classic 1986. Decor aside, this is a five star hoagie place. We shared a 10" cheesesteak between two people and were filled to the gills. With an order of fries and a drink the price was still just ten dollars and change. The cheesesteak was the best we've had-certainly better than any of the places we've eaten at in Philadelphia. Juicy and tender, not oily. The bread was a delight, rich and just the right mouthfeel. The pastrami and other Italian meat hoagies looked great as they prepared then. One hoagie was legit a Ham and CHEESE. Once we got home opened the sandwich and realized it had NO CHEESE!! I have been a long term fan until today. I ordered a large cheese steak and French fries ...to the tune of $22. I'm not sure what happened but I was able to cut the sandwich in half and easily put all the meat in half the roll. Very disappointing. read more

I usually get half a cheesesteak w/double meat provolone light sauce onions and hot peppers on the side and never disappoints. Stopped in about 40 minutes before they closed and ordered 1 plain cheesesteak. The guy standing at grill putting meat on the grill for another order proceeds to tell the girl working the register that the grill has been turned off and cleaned already for the night (As he continues to flip the meat already on the grill.) I proceed to order a cold sandwich instead and the guy standing at the grill loudly says "If this S*** is going to continue, I'll start closing at 7:00. I was really put off, it was my first time there, and I was nothing but polite to them, pretty much the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Growing up on Lee's hoagies, I was excited to get some in the Valley. After having an awful experience at the Quakertown Lees, I was very happy that this location was much better! My partner and I both had hoagies and we shared cheese fries. Both hoagies were excellent and made exactly how we ordered them. The bread is perfectly chewy and makes the hoagie. The cheese fries were just alright. The staff was courteous and they place seemed pretty clean. I would not say that the restaurant is really nice, but it does the job. This is and will continue to be our go-to hoagie shop. read more

Damn good sandwich!! Got the Italian with additional imported meat. Great bread, from that joint in Philly. I also love that the only condiment that they'll put on the sandwich is mayo. Damn straight! If you want other stuff, it's available, but they're not gonna do it. Awesome. WOW, I remember this chain when I was a kid. Drove by one day and noticed them. The hoagies are SO good! It's really hard to find a good hoagie these days when you're in the mood for one. Subway, Wawa, Sheetz, etc..... don't waste your money there! This place has what it takes to make a great hoagie! Staff is very friendly, too! 2 sizes available. I wouldn't get the large unless you're sharing with someone. IT IS ENORMOUS! And that's an understatement. Of course I find this place while in the midst of moving to philly... I am giving it 5 stars, but note that I am really giving the cheltenham italian hoagie 5 stars as it's the only thing I've had. I have not had an italian this good in a VERY long time. I will be heading back here in a few days after we are done loading the moving truck, and I'm looking forward to it already! Portion sizes are more than generous. A "half" is about a foot long and packed full of meat. I eat a lot, and this hoagie filled me up and then some. The food prepper was making the hoagies without a mask on. When I asked her about it, she said that she has a medical condition which does not allow her to wear a mask constantly, so she wears it when serving a customer directly, but not when she is prepping food. Love, love, love Lee's! Always great to go here on Sundays before the Iggles game starts to grab two giant Italians. They are 18" long and can feed four people easily. We usually have leftovers for lunch the next day. Make sure to absolutely get the hot pepper spread for your hoagie. If you haven't had it, you don't know what you're missing. Wow, what a great hoagie.. Ate it the next day due to it being a friday during lent. Got a 1/2 italian. Meats were fresh and the dressing was a great addition. They knew we were eating it the next day and they put the peppers and dressing in separate containers. Only stopped in here once. Got half a Cheltenham hoagie. Half is good for lunch and dinner. Just ask for half of the half (so, a quarter?) wrapped up to go. Didn't go there during the week, but looks like they have good lunch specials. Veggie options available, such as pasta salad. Their cheese steaks are good, but not the greatest in the area, but the double supreme is massive and definitely worth a try. Two other reviewers stated that they're rude and one said that the place isn't clean, neither of which I've ever experienced in years of going there. First time here at Lee's. I ordered the supreme cheesesteak half which is a 10" hoagie. They also have a giant size at a whopping 20". The hoagie is made to order, fresh, and delicious. Price for the supreme cheesesteak cost me $7 which is fair because of the mammoth size of the sandwich. You request your own toppings thankfully. If I had another cheesesteak with marinara sauce poured on top of it I would've lost it. Staff is professional and although I took my order to go, I observed the establishment to be clean. I honestly can't think of a way to make a better tasting hoagie. Lee's is a great hidden gem. For one thing the price to food ratio is outstanding. What you get for what you pay is a good deal. The sandwich is fantastic! After my first bite I had to ask the sandwich artisans where they get their bread. They get it delivered everyday fresh from a bakery in Philadelphia. It's the bread that makes the sandwich so delicious. The gourmet meats and cheeses are held in a chewy firm great tasting bread.
