They have just completed a million-dollar renovation, and the entire place looks amazing. I especially love the iridescent tiled wall and the map over the bar. Hubby and I shared the cheese steak egg rolls, and they were delicious. The cheese sauce was great to dip them in. I placed a take order for the taco salad and a soup, simple enough. Paid to park and walked inside. Staff were friendly but evidently a little forgetful. The restaurant has a cool vibe located in a little mall area. Returned to where I was staying to find no utensils, no dressing for my salad and the soup was wrong. This restaurant has a new chef, who has truly turned around their kitchen. Food is good. HOWEVER, please work on your hostess stand. Every restaurant owner should know that your hostesses are the first impression of your experience, and this one did not begin well...and we were just getting takeout! The hostess in charge was extremely grumpy; it couldn't hurt to smile. After food being 20 minutes later than promised and the girls not even keeping an eye/ear out for our food to be ready (we had to keep asking, and they seemed shocked each time we prompted), there was not even a "thank you" or "have a goodnight". We used to love this place and ate here several times during our week long trip as part of our regular routine. However since the remodel, it's too noisy with new stereo system. (Over 100 decibels) The food prices have increased .. we ordered the new scallops appetizer and we're excited to try it to find that for $24 we had scallops the size of a dime! Only four of them on the appetizer platter. Very expensive! The wings are not as good as they used to be. Overall, the atmosphere is incredibly noisy now and difficult to have conversation with friends and family. We were so disappointed during this last visit. I have previously had a chicken cutlet on my trip and was really turned off by that dryness so I specifically asked our waitress if it was a chicken breast or chicken cutlet. If it was a chicken breast, it sure did not have any flavor or moisture. My salad also was supposed to have pistachios on it. It did not. Stone Harbor Bar was a complete disappointment. Our server, Angie, was flat-out rude, disrespectful, and had a terrible attitude from the moment we sat down. She was pushy while we tried to order and made the whole experience uncomfortable. We ordered four sodas -- $17 for just that -- and because of her behaviour, we decided to cancel our food order entirely and walk out. When a server treats customers this poorly, it ruins the whole restaurant. Terrible service, outrageous prices, and zero respect for customers. This is one of our favorite spots. They've renovated since we were here last summer, and there's now a beautiful hostess area along with upgrades throughout the first floor. The variety and food is always good for our group, and the staff is consistently attentive and friendly. The magician who is regularly there is awesome! I left a 5 star review about this place a few years ago. Been coming here 2-3 times a year since 2013 on our visits to Avalon. Still like the atmosphere, bartenders and food, but I must downgrade to a 3 star review for the outrageous drink prices. $15 for a simple Tito's Vodka and club soda and $14 for a very small decaf coffee with Baileys?? You got to be kidding me. And both drinks were a very weak pour. Yes I know Stone Harbor isn't cheap, but Fred's Tavern right down the street charges $7.50 for the same Tito's and club and they have live entertainment to boot. Our bill was well over $100 for 2 chicken cheesesteaks and 4 drinks. We may have to re-think our choices next Stone Harbor Visit. Sad. read more

The steamed clams were FILLED with sand and when I advised our server, she just shrugged and walked away. Cheesesteak was dry with hardly any cheese, turkey burger and chicken tenders were likewise very dry. Lobster bisque had no sherry in it and tasted like canned tomato soup with two little pieces of lobster. Wings and tuna bites were good. Stopped by for dinner while in town. The place got decently busy. We opted for a chicken cheesesteak, cheesesteak, and the spiked peanut butter milkshake. The subs were decent. Went in for lunch, it was not very busy. Service was on the slow side. Ordered appetizer and lunch at the same time. It took a fairly long time for the app to come out. The appetizer was Ahi Tuna Bites. They were incredibly good, however, very pricey. $19 for 4 pieces. I would say it should be closer to $10 or put in at least 8 pieces for $19. I recently dined here and my experience was quite underwhelming. Despite its prime location and inviting atmosphere, the food left much to be desired. We ordered The Pub, the City Grille, and the Taco Salad. Unfortunately, none of these dishes impressed us. The Pub and the City Grille, in particular, were disappointing. The Taco Salad was mediocre at best. Also, it's a bit wild to pay extra for fries but may have been worth it because the chips were not great. The only redeeming aspect of our meal was the loaded fries. They were good and easily the highlight of our visit. Given the high prices and the overall quality of the food, I cannot recommend for the food we ordered, but we had a lovely server and quick service. I would also have loved to see more fun beers on tap! read more

We were really excited to try this place after the positive reviews and the varied menu. We ended up getting seated ahead of the predicted time which was nice. Now i understand restaurants are short staffed, and this is probably the busiest time of year. The amount of time it took to get our food was not okay. First, it took forever to first order with our server and then 1 hour and 15 minutes for us to get our food which is absurd. No apologies given, no comps for the inconvenience. The clientele needs to be better managed so people aren't waiting so long. Maybe turn some people away if there is not adequate staff to cook, serve. Also, the air conditioning was blasting directly on us. You could tell other tables near us were also cold. We asked if it could be lowered and were told no the manager doesn't let the staff touch it. . Been coming here over the years on occasion, through the change of hands. Enjoyed a delicious hot roast turkey on toasted rye with thousand island dressing on a breezy coolish day for lunch. Our seat had a pub atmosphere mixed with an outdoor patio type feel because we sat at the open window ledge over looking the shops, which was fun! Cole slaw would have been a nice addition to this sandwich though!! A few minutes later, we were seated at a high top in the bar area. The restaurant has a ton of TVs and definitely has a casual, sports bar atmosphere. The draft list is pretty decent and there is a cocktail menu as well. For food, we started off with the coconut shrimp appetizer. Although it only came with 4 shrimp, they were pretty big so it was a good portion for an app. The app also came with some kind of sweet chili sauce for the shrimp and that's what really made the dish. We decided to just do chicken cutlet subs for our meal and I got the chicken parm. It was just okay..the sauce kind of tasted like it was straight out of the jar, but the roll it came on was good!
