I didn't request the item to be repaired rather a person I knew who saw an opportunity to get it fixed and sell when I wasn't paying attention. Thankfully they are not that bright and left the receipt of the missing item in my room. Their honesty and integrity is outstanding. They helped me recover the items that had been stolen from me after I requested information on other missing jewelry pieces, which meant a lot. However, I recently purchased a 14 karat gold locket from him. The gold was so thin (although over $700), that it dented when it was opened and re-closed. Then the next time it was opened, it would no longer close. Since it was only a few weeks old, I brought it back to be repaired. Maj couldn't fix it, so he sent it out to be fixed. However, it came back in worse than it was when I dropped it off and it was no longer wearable. I asked to exchange it for a more expensive piece and I would pay the difference. However, he said no exchanges even though there was a sign right there that said, "No returns. Exchanges only." I left in tears, as it was meant to be a sentimental piece in memory of my child's best friend who had just passed away. Within a couple of weeks I discovered the ring was plated even though it bore the .925 (silver) stamp. I returned to the jeweler and had him test it in my presence and the results confirmed no silver was detected in either the plate or base metal. He said he would reorder from another vendor and I agreed. When I picked up the replacement I discovered it was the SAME setting. The prong placement, the .925 stamp in the same location and upon closer examination - the very same worn-away irregularities could still be seen under the coating. The inside portion that had the silver stamp wasn't even covered and the dull base metal was exposed. He feigned shock and couldn't understand how this could be but he would take my word for it that it was the same ring. I demanded a refund and it was given immediately without contest. This nefarious practice is typically utilized for misrepresenting the true karat content of gold, the authenticity of diamonds and other precious stones - not the cheap metal silver. ....BEWARE!!!

They glued the emblem on instead of sotering it and I lost that emblem, which was a decent piece of gold! What self respecting jeweler thinks that's a proper service? Also was repairing a gold chain link which was replaced by a link that's obviously not gold as well. Turned dark and green... Better be safe than sorry. Avoid the place if you want to avoid a headache.
