Lee's is definitely among the best Baltimore has to offer. We frequented this establishment when it was Saute and always enjoyed Chef Mark Suliga's food, even though the atmosphere was lacking in Saute's later years. Owner Dave Carey put a lot into revitalizing the atmosphere of this restaurant and re-inventing at as Lee's, and it has paid off. In addition to the excellent food from Chef Mark, the restaurant has a very fun Baltimore vibe, strong staff, excellent bar choices, and a raw bar to boot (if that is your thing). The food is mostly upscale bar food that really blows away what you would normally find at a bar in Canton. Our favorites are the Pulled Duck Nachos made with duck confit, white cheese sauce, and pickled poblanos, the house smoked wings, chipotle fries, and crab dip. There are numerous seafood offerings including oysters, mussels (any derivation of the white wine/garlic sauce is excellent), shrimp, crab cakes, and more. The specials are always tempting as well. Really, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The staff are outstanding. The bartenders, especially Josh and Erin, are always on point and keep the drinks flowing. The wait staff is attentive and floor management makes sure everything runs smoothly. The only downside is sometimes it gets crowded and there aren't any seats available at the bar - but I suppose that's what happens when the place is a success. Overall, Lee's is in our regular rotation and is an outstanding spot in Canton. I would recommend it to anyone looking for excellent Baltimore eats, drinks, and service. read more

Don't go here unless you're friends with the bartenders or servers. I sat at the bar while it wasn't busy for lunch and the bartender was just talking with her friends on the other side the whole time. It took 5 minutes for them to even acknowledge that I sat down. Then she only checked in on me one time in the 45 mins I was there. Same with the servers, I had friends at another table that had to go find their server because she dropped off their food and never came back to check on them but instead was talking with friends. Only been here once...my friend and I stood around for at least 15 minutes before some rude blonde bartender came over to us. Music was all country, which is fine sometimes, but pls throw in some Drake every now & then or SOMETHING ELSE...that was a huge downfall for me. This was an amazing brunch!! I got the crab cakes Benedict (I can't remember the exact name), and it was the most incredible thing I think I've ever eaten. Their crab was not super fishy like every other place I had been to. It was sooo perfect!!! The wait staff was also really good. This was a solid 3-1/2 stars but then my spouse reminded me that his big bowl of mussels was only $5 as it was Monday, and that was the special that day! Parking was difficult but worth it. Service was friendly, and the interior is a well-lit, modern, sports-type bar with beautiful menu lettering all around. We split everything: the roasted Brussels sprouts, the Big Bowl of Mussels of the Day (with Old Bay - for $5 instead of $12!!!), a huge plate of loaded baked potato fries and a Frontier Old Fashioned. He thought the Brussels sprouts were a bit greasy, but everything else was great! We hope to be back soon. read more

Unfortunately we missed the lobster dinner deal as it sells out fast but still had a nonstop parade of appetizers. Clams, crab dip, Mac and cheese, and brusslesprouts. Our server was friendly and when our first order of clams was late due to a missing shucker, she took care of the next round of drinks! Love this bar 50 cent oysters on fridays and during special events but the must try are their grilled oysters that come in a few different styles...sooo good.....The pizza although odd that they dont offer pepperoni is AMAZING just as cheese its like roller rink pizza gone right, with tons of good cheese and sauce....the roasted Brussels sprouts are on my top 5 list...and their street corn is off the hook, a must try! GREAT Beer selection, service is always pretty good and the place is really cool offering our door seating to. We really love this place just make sure you know what inboard(girls) and outboard(boys) means its how they lable their restroom with no pics to help you guess so often i see people get confused lol thankful i got it but i can get how non boaters would not, kinda odd i feel like they need to add some kind of pics to help. read more

Lee's is a great new neighborhood spot for Canton. The happy hour specials make you want to come back every night of the week, and the oysters are always great. We loved having happy hour there tonight! Great discounts till 7 pm. Had great service with good pacing of attention and delivery of apps, meals and drinks. The mussels were amazing. No grit! A generous amount and delicious. The buffalo chicken pizza was amazing. And the Chesapeake burger so yummy. Can't beat 50 cent oysters! We wanted a blackened tuna sandwich to go and our waitress kindly suggested we wait until we were finished as they don't take long to cook and she did not want it to get overcooked or cold when we got home. Sure enough it was still warm when we got home and our daughter said it was delicious. Only minor complaint was that my bottles of beer weren't especially cold. We will be back! read more

Do you like horrible pop country? Then this is the place for you! This is a country bar now apparently. While there, they played 45 minutes of terrible country music without a break. The mood in the place was as depressing as you would imagine with that music raining on everyone's parade. Our first batch of oysters didn't seem that fresh or juicy, but the 2nd was better. Nice sizes for $0.50 per piece. The other dishes were great too and easy to share. We got crab cakes, fried calamari, fried oysters, duck nachos, and cream of crab soup. The fried oysters were pretty pricey, so I'd just stick to the raw bar! Better bang for your buck. read more

This was my worst experience at Lee's, the oyster & fries have changed and not for the good but for the worst. The cornmeal batter is way to heavy, the fries were cold and had some generic seasoning on them. I also ordered the rockfish meal and got fish and chips. I understand COVID-19 has hit the restaurant industry the hardest but please do not compromise the integrity and the taste of your food. They have truly lost a value customer. read more

This is a great place in Canton with great HH specials and cheap local oysters! Food is always consistent and good plus the Baltimore themed atmosphere is great. A bit of diner advice: If you want a quiet and not (usually) busy atmosphere, this is most likely not your place as it is always full and given the number of people sometimes quite loud, but that's honestly a testimony to their success way more than a negative. read more

Lee's is hands down my favorite bar/restaurant in the entire world. Maybe I am biased because I live one block away, but even if it wasn't in my back yard I would still be at this place at least 3x per week. The food is amazing (shrimp and crab mac n cheese?! As a firefighter, I planned on going to Lee's on a Monday for their "First Responder's night". Completely expecting a crowded bar, we went in, got a drink, and put our name in for a table. We were told 30-35 minutes for a party of 3. The bartenders were very friendly but busy; they got to us as they could, and that was as per the usual. The drinks were well made and the bar has a great atmosphere. The upstairs for the evening was also closed, forcing a stacked bar. After about 45 minutes, we re-checked with the hostess and were told there were still a few people in front of us. We continued to stand behind the bar stools and have a few drinks. After an hour and a half of waiting, I closed my tab and we left to go elsewhere for food. I have been to Lee's a few times before and enjoyed the whole experience. If the night is going to be a special for first responders, I would have hoped the service would have been better and more capable of handling a large crowd. We left hungry. read more

Came here for dinner and it was suprisingly crowded! I guess I caught the tail end of the happy hour crowd. They've done a good job with the formerly Saute space! I ordered the fish tacos and my friend ordered the salmon BLT. We also ordered the chipotle fries to share. Huge portion of fries! They were pretty good. They did a good job of cutting them to the perfect width, where it's meaty, but not too meaty that it turns into potato wedges. It also had a nice crisp to the exterior! I thought that the fish tacos were tasty/good, but nothing mindblowing. They have a small beer selection. It's not the greatest. The food isn't the most creative, but it delivery solid seafood, at reasonable prices and has a great neighborhood vibe (albeit a bit bro-y, but it's in Canton...). My one complaint is that it get pretty drafty and cold when sitting by the windows -- I was also there during one of the cold snaps this winter. read more

The oysters were disappointing. Really quite disappointing. I urge you to pay the extra fifty cents and get dollar oysters elsewhere. I, as a die hard bivalve fan, am saddened to say that really delicious oysters at 50c a pop is only a fantasy. (P.S. you know who's great? the buck a shuck man outside of Coopers in Fells Point) I had to spit out two out of twelve which is the highest bad oyster rate I've had in Baltimore, except maybe for Rowhouse Grille's happy hour. I saw the duck nachos from across the room and they looked extremely appetizing, but then I saw the couple next to me get the fish and chips and my whole body went "yep that's what's happening". So, post a bowl of their seafood chowder (average in baltimore, good in the world) a serving of their loaded fries (pick whichever one sounds best to you, screwing up fried potatoes and toppings is mildly difficult, no matter how they taste you still finish the basket), two beers, a glass of wine, and twelve disappointing oysters, I ordered the fish and chips. I'm going to go ahead and say they were my favourite fish and chips ever. I'm standing behind that statement. A perfect crunchy batter and huge pieces of flaky fish with some supremely awesome and surprising sweet and spicy pickles. I'm a big eater, so when I say huge I mean huge. So TL;DR? Don't fall for the fifty cent oysters. Definitely come for the fish and chips until they realize they're losing money on it and change it. read more

We'd been by Lee's a couple times when it was too crowded, so we stopped by on a Tuesday night and were happy to get the last open 2-seater table in the bar area. Both of us really like the look and feel of the place, from the all-season features such as the retractable doors and outdoor fire makers, to the Baltimore themed artwork. Service was fast, efficient and friendly throughout, and it was enjoyable for us semi-oldsters to be in a place with a nice age range. As for the food and drink, mostly pretty good! Pretty solid craft beer offerings, which is always a plus for me. Arriving just in time for happy hour prices, we went with six 50 cent raw oysters to start, and wished we'd gone with a dozen! We then shared the seafood chowder, crab and shrimp mac and cheese (m'lady is on a mac and cheese kick/quest!), and fish and chips, the latter of which I've not had anywhere in a long time. The chowder was the best of three, tasty and sufficiently endowed with seafood. One of my main qualms about Maryland crab soup is that it usually seems to be vegetable soup that a crab skittered through, with some Old Bay added for taste. No such seafood shortage here! The mac and cheese was disappointing, with the crab not detectable but a decent number of shrimp. The cheese aspect of it was just downright boring, and we both thought it could use a lot of help. We only ate about half of it, and the price point ($14, if I recall) was quite high for something far from spectacular. The fish part of the fish and chips looked a bit on the dark and overcooked side, but were actually fine and above average overall. The chips were just average, run-of-the mill, and required the vinegar for her and ketchup for me. So, overall quite high marks for look, feel, and service, and no-as-good marks for the food we shared. Looking forward to coming back and trying other dishes, in hopes we'll have a tad more luck. I'll also be eager to see how they are with rotating the beer menu. read more

This place has such great weekday happy hour deals. Hard not to pass up 50 cent oysters :) My boyfriend and I were first drawn to this place because it was one of the only places in canton that was full of life on a Tuesday night. When we saw the deals, we saw why! However, it was so crowded and busy that the waiter/bartender never came to us and we had to look around to get someone's attention for a long time.
