I recently moved to Monroe and was really excited to check out this salon. I came in for a refill service. There appeared to be an employee holiday party happening during business hours while customers were still inside--which, given the holidays, wasn't an issue to me. However, it felt as though the nail technician was obligated to take me as a client and was interrupted from his festivities. I sat down, complimented his Christmas sweater, and explained what I wanted done. From the start, he was condescending and very rough with my hands, but I didn't say anything. Every request I made, he countered with options that didn't make sense. I'm not a nail artist--I simply asked for a soak-off because he didn't have the matching acrylic powder. Instead, he kept insisting on refilling with what he had, even though the colors didn't match and I wanted a French design. He repeatedly told me a French wasn't possible because the acrylic difference would show, which is exactly why I originally requested a soak-off. I tried to compromise by choosing a dark nude or gray, but it still wasn't the look I wanted. He then told me he couldn't do a French at all. At that point, I told him that as the artist, he should be able to offer solutions rather than rushing the process. He responded by speaking rudely in his language to his coworkers and then abruptly got up from his seat. I have never been treated this way in any establishment. I was shocked, confused, and embarrassed, and I truly wish I had never stepped foot inside. I came in with high hopes and left with nothing but attitude, rudeness, and disappointment--and no holiday nails I was so excited for. As soon as I(black) walked in with my friend(not black), I was asked if I wanted extra-long nails. I told her no; I wanted a short set and a mani-pedi. Getting my nails done, the older man never spoke to me and freestyled my nails, giving me the wrong shape and making it look clumpy. As the paint was drying, it got smeared in the light, and he took a big sigh, said something in what I assume was Mandarin very angrily and walked away, and someone else had to continue my nails. My nails look terrible; the French tip is different on every finger. I wanted a short square shape, but because he never asked and refused to look at the inspo picture, I got clumpy duck-shaped nails. I have never been treated like this at a nail salon and seen such an unprofessional environment. I told the nail tech what color I wanted. while she was applying, I noticed the color did not match the color I asked for. when I told her she got very defensive and she said, "I guess " to me asking her to change it. She continued with the pedicure laughing and giggling with other employee. While painting, pushing my foot down and telling me to keep my toes straight. I then continued to where she wanted me to sit for a manicure. The seat had rough hard dried glue in it. I went to switch the seats and she stopped the chair and said it's just dried glue. I told her I didn't want to sit on hard glue. She continued to share that its dried. At this point I have had enough and just asked to pay for the received services and left. I have been going here for awhile but NEVER again. This was one of the worst experiences I've had getting a pedicure, ever!! The lady rushed through and kept jabbing me with tools. When removing my gel polish, she had the setting too high on the drill she was using and hurt my toe. They kept insisting that I get gel and was told there weren't many regular nail polish colors to choose from. I didn't want gel because my toe nails are thin due to how gel polish is removed. I will never come back to this salon again. Oh, and when I was sitting to allow my nails to dry, the fans went off, several workers noticed and didn't attempt to help me. The guy who sits all the way against the wall, who appears to be the owner is extremely rude. I have HAIR in EVERY NAIL!! He rushed my entire service and you can tell by the look of my nails. He was rough and I was more of a number than a customer. At end of my service he drenched my hands in oil, I asked for a paper towel and he said "go wash it". Well my purse was in my lap so I would have gotten it all over my purse so I said " I'll just a take napkin. He basically tossed it my way as if he was annoyed. He will never do my nails again. I usually go here with no issues, but today I don't know what was going on I came in for a fill in and a replacement for a nail that came off. I got charged $50 for a basic fill in, no polish included. AND look how textured these are, they aren't even smooth after putting on the gloss finisher. Will not be returning. read more

Ouch. I have been here in the past and had a fine enough experience to return: but this past time was my last time. I'm not the type to complain at a nail salon. I've gotten colors or shapes before that I wasn't a fan of. But this time I did complain because I would have been embarrassed to walk around with this on my fingers. And I'm not even mad that they turned out bad, I'm mad at how the nail tech reacted and how I was treated when there. When I walked in there were about three people waiting. No big deal nail salons always seem to be busy. But then they took two women that came in after me before me (and they didn't have an appointment). When I finally was sat they ended up moving me. Finally it was time for my nails to get done (I wanted a fill in) the type that I wanted was an ombré he told me I couldn't have that because it's a special dip. No big deal, I'll just get a solid color then on the nails I already have. He starts filing down my acrylics and asked if I got them done there. when I say no, he proceeded to tell me how badly they were put on and that they all needed to be removed. I agree, and say since we are removing them anyways let's do the ombré I show him the picture I want it's a nude color to white. He agrees and begins removing my old nails. He does the ombré. And they look HORRIBLE. There are white spots in the nude color along with lines and they are all different lengths. So I spoke up and told him I don't like the way the ombré showed up. He offers to restart after I've been in the salon over an hour and a half. I tell him no thank you and ask if it's possible to just paint a solid color on top of it. He quickly and aggressively tells me no and starts clipping the nails off painfully without talking about other potential options. Clipping my nail bed and making two of my fingers bleed. He told me it's because of the colors that I choose and them being too dark. And that my fingernails are to wide for the shape that I wanted. First of all sir, you offered me a variety of different shades and if it was going to be to dark you should have told me from the beginning. Because the entire experience you had no trouble telling me no about everything I wanted. These nails were supposed to be for my bridal photos. So it's awesome that I know have little scabs and no acrylics. 10/10 recommend you avoid this nail tech. I'm not sure what his name is but he is the bigger man that usually answers the phones. read more

Been there twice. My bestest girl goes here often and I finally joined her. First trip was okay. Got manicure with gel polish. Was decent. Nothing to write home about. Second time I got spa pedicure and manicure. I wanted holo polish (HOLO! ) and right off the bat the tech had an attitude about it. She kept trying to sell me other services by mildly insulting my appearance but she could "fix it". Yeah, no... When it came to the manicure she rushed through it, watched TV through half of it, and ended up flooding my cuticle beds with polish and top coat. Thanks to Simply Nailogical, I knew this wasn't good news. She refused to fix. Gel polish lasted 3 days and started to peel, as expected. Won't be back. read more

While I like service that is fast, i don't like it so fast that the quality is jeopardized. Let's start with my pedicure... the lady was moving so fast! Like too fast that I felt like i was on a roller coaster! She cut my toe nails too short without asking if I wanted them cut. Same lady was also prepping my SnS removal and again moving so fast she nicked my finger. Now let's get to my SnS on my nails... I asked for a color based on number from their selection... white 002... the girl who was doing my nails shows me the powder and I asked " is that the 002 I asked for,this has sparkles?"... she proceeded to argue with me about what was white and what was not. I said just get the color associated with the number. I then asked if I could get an extra coat to make them more durable. I said I would pay extra if needed. She then became irritated IMO and proceeded to count the coats and complain they were " too thick". And THEN she finally finished. I look at my nails and they are raggedy up close. See picture for the horrible clean up on my nails. The thickness has zero to do with the terrible cleanup! My bill was $85 and I still left a $10 tip for a total of $95 regardless of the terrible attitude and service. read more

I've been here twice the first time overall was great except they try to upsell like crazy and it's a little uncomfortable. The second time was not a great experience. The lady who did my pedicure was so rough when trimming my cuticles it was painful! She next day after my pedicure my big toe was extremely sore and painful all around the sides and red. I had to use Neosporin plus an antibiotic to get it to calm down. 3 days since my pedicure and it's much better but wow I am terrified to ever go back there. I have been going to he same nail salon for years and recently moved so I needed somewhere to go. Multiple recommended this salon to me, and I was pleased to find they are open on Sunday's! The pedicure was great, I got the deluxe with designs on my big toes and it still only cost $35! I get ingrown toenail sometimes and the nail tech was very careful to trim my nails to prevent that from happening again. When I got my eyebrows waxed, the woman said they had been waxed wrong before and very carefully waxed them to get the right shape back, I was so grateful!! I had my iPad with me and the nail tech automatically asked me if I wanted the Wifi password, I didn't even have to ask! I agree with others that it may not be the most relaxing, quiet spa atmosphere, but they do a great job. My nail technician was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable, making sure she added more hot water as the water began to cool down. I would definitely recommend this salon to those looking for a good pedicure and wax! read more

Horrible!! My sister and I went to get manicures and we both got French tips. The next day both of our nails started to crack. I called and asked if we could come back on Monday to get them re done because we are out of town for our aunt's funeral till Sunday. The lady on the phone kept explaining that they may crack if they aren't dry, well the problem with that is we sat under the dryers for 40 minutes and the lady told us we were ok to go. The lady on the phone also proceeded to tell me that they could re do it if it were 1 or 2 nails but not a whole hand. HOW DOES THAT EVEN MAKE SENSE?! It is not my fault that they all decided to crack. I have done nothing to be rough on my nails causing them to crack. I also offered to take pictures and send them to someone to see we weren't lying, but she denied that offer. The polish is cheap and I will not be going back to this place ever again after they fix my nails for free! It makes me really upset because the manicure was my gift to my sister for her birthday. The salon, in all is ok. I enjoy the pedicure and that the basic spa pedicure includes hot stones. However, I have had the two worst experiences with Yvonne (says Vy on my receipt). The first time, I went for a full set acrylic with gel polish, I enjoyed her chatty nature and suggestions, but my nails were not straight and 3 had broken after 10 days! This time, I went for a fill in and just my luck, Yvonne again. I had a full set from another salon which I was pleased with. She filed off the gel polish but left remnants of the gel behind and put acrylic over it! She swore it would be filed away, but wasn't. She then completely changed the shape of my nails and made them uneven on the sides because she applied to much pressure and filed forcefully. The woman I was sat with kept asking if I wanted a manicure too, and I said no, just the removal. She then made a huge scene about me only wanting a removal, involved the entire staff at the salon, and had other customers staring at me.
