    Rainbow roll
    Noelle W.

I ordered a here during lunch time (1pm) and got a kani salad and rainbow roll. I did a pickup and they were basically empty beside one table. I typically order a kani salad every time I get sushi anywhere. While this is the largest one I've ever gotten. It is also THE WORST one I've ever gotten!!! To start. It was sweet! I'm completely confused! Sweet spicy mayo!? The color looked like a thousand island n taste wise just not good. There also wasn't any cucumber. For the rainbow roll. Eh. Two outta five stars. Stingy with the avocado but too generous with the roe. Considering there are three or four other sushi options in town, I can easily say I won't be back.

Kamikaze Roll and Fire Dragon Roll
    Dan M.

This was a little spot in a mini strip mall. There were about 15 tables with a tiny sushi bar in the back. The service was appreciated as the food came out in a timely matter. Along with sushi and sashimi, there were bento boxes, soups, teriyaki and tempura dishes, etc. I was able to sample 5 different sushi rolls that I will describe below. Kamikaze Roll ($9.25) - This came with soft shell crab, cucumber, avocado, pickled jalapenos, tobiko and spicy sauce. I had high expectations for this. I did not get a good taste of the soft-shell crab, but the rest of the flavors were appetizing. Fire Dragon Roll ($10.95) - This was a shrimp tempura roll with tuna and tobiko that was topped with a spicy mayo and sweet eel sauce. This was definitely my favorite one tried as I enjoyed the combination of the two sauces with the other components of the roll. Sweet Potato Roll ($3.75) - This was okay, not a big fan of these, but not terrible. Alaska Roll ($4.95) - This contained salmon, avocado, cucumber, and tobiko. This was a solid and pleasant roll. Iso Maki ($11.95) - There was tuna, salmon, yellow tail, avocado, cucumber, mayo, tobiko served with iso nori. There was a slight crunch to this with the iso nori and the regular mayo was a nice touch to the fish present. Will I go back? Indeed.

Best fresh sushi in the neighborhood! We are never disappointed! Highly recommend the dragon roll!!

This is the worst sushi I've ever eaten at a restaurant. Spicy salmon rolls.

While I typically like to give places the benefit of the doubt, I needed to post this photo This is the worst sushi I've ever eaten at a restaurant. I will not be coming back. Spicy salmon rolls pictured here. Despite not looking appetizing at all (rolls unevenly cut, big blobs of sauce randomly oozing out,) the spicy mayo was not spicy - it was tangy like old mayo typically tastes and smells - and the roll pieces kept falling apart when I went to pick it up with my chop sticks. I gave my feedback to the sushi chef, he said he is the one who usually makes the sushi, which was quite disappointing. While he did offer me something else, I was hesitant to try something different because I was afraid of the overall quality based on my experience with the spicy salmon rolls. I really wanted to like this place based on the photos I saw on Yelp, coupled with the generally high overall rating. It makes me wonder whether they changed owners recently to have such a difference in the food... Such a shame..

    Sushi & Sashimi for three

Consistently awesome. What I appreciate the most is they don't waist your time with crab stick or shrimp. Always high quality fish. The staff is also very friendly. Lots of good sushi options in the area, Lee's Sushi is the BEST.

Christmas, spicy tuna, volcano, Iso maki.
    Jeffrey A.

The sushi was fantastic and fresh. Spicy tuna could have been spicier, but that's me being an ass. Iso Maki, spicy tuna, Christmas, and volcano rolls were wonder. Miso soup was excellent as well.

    Sashimi platter. Tasty, generic cuts.
    Ben T.

Miso soup tasted fresh, the usual ginger dressing on iceberg lettuce with a slice of tomato was very tasty relative to some of the other sushi places around here. Comfortable, quiet place. Sashimi wasnt super high quality but tasted fresh and was well cut. Dont get the beef negimaki thing, just a pile of overcooked mincemeat wrapped around a scallion coated in teriyaki (Their teriyaki sauce here has a great taste and texture though) Green dragon roll had tasty warm eel and a generous helping of tobiko and the iko maki (3 fish roll) was good too. Tangy mayonnaise in the middle. Not bad.

    Shrimp and vegetable tempura appetizer

Lee's Sushi was recommended to me by a couple people and I'm so glad it was! It's a really casual restaurant with great service and even better food. We ordered the tempura appetizer which consisted of deep fried shrimp (two pieces) and vegetables (3 pieces). The portion size was perfect. It left me satisfied but not too full for dinner. For dinner, we ordered the following: deluxe spicy crunch crab roll, American dream roll, giant eel roll, and spicy salmon roll. Everything was really good! The deluxe spicy crunch crab roll was by far my favorite. I loved the crunchiness of it and the toboko spicy mayo sauce was amazing. I'm already craving more! Oh, and the roll was cut into 8 pieces. I would highly recommend it! My biggest complaint is similar to other Yelp reviews - the sushi was wrapped very loosely so it kept falling apart and was therefore difficult to eat. However, the taste was good enough that this complaint won't stop me from coming back again.

Good tasting sushi, but they forgot to include a soup and salad for one out of the two lunch specials I ordered. Also, they skimped out on the salad with literary 2 lettuce leafs.

Lunch box combo (2 rolls, soup, and salad) Spicy yellowtail and spicy salmon roll. Mmmmmm!

The yellowtail is flavorful without being too fishy and the salmon cuts are consistently high-quality. The red tuna is alright. Albacore and sea bass are both good. I would definitely recommend trying the rolls and combinations here as well. The sushi is understandably this restaurant's high point, and I cannot emphasize the quality and care enough. Even the plating is beautiful. The environment here is very welcoming. Even when it's completely full, the music and conversations are never overly loud. Used to be BYOB but now has a drinks menu and bar. I haven't tried the sake, but the NJ wines are decent. The desserts are limited. The oreo tempura ice cream is interesting though and unique to this location. I wouldn't recommend getting any desserts, though. I'd fully recommend coming here! It's the best sushi in the area.

Unfortunately, a couple decided to bring their small children that were talking very loudly and had occasional screams. There is a place and time to bring your kids dining and fine dining isn't one of them. Our favorite appetizer was the chanwanmushi! They packed so much umami into such a small dish and the texture of the egg was like silken tofu. My husbands favorite piece of nigiri was the otoro as the tuna was so fatty and just melted in your mouth. Mine was the uni spoon which was a small dish of uni, ikura, caviar, and rice. The hand rolls were a highlight too! After the 6 courses are done you're able to order ala carte and I'm so glad I got an ikura hand roll.
