I originally wanted to get my pants hemmed from this place because this is one of the places that popped up when I was trying to look for an alteration place. Called this morning to ask for a price quote for pants hemming. When I spoke with the lady over the phone I did not know we were supposed to make an appointment before we came in. I had some time today so I decided to stop by her place to see if I can get my pants hemmed and once I arrived the first thing I was met with was attitude. The lady was not welcoming at all and she just stared at me the whole time. I had mentioned to her that I was the one who called about the pricing this morning and she was just shooing me away telling me to wait outside the door. I apologized and I went outside to wait my turn until I overheard her gossiping about me with the customer that was already there before me and so instead of waiting I had left. I'm sure she does great work, but if you can't give customers (especially new ones) a good attitude, it definitely does not give a good first impression. read more

I read the great reviews on Yelp and decided to take my bridesmaid dress to Lee's to beg them to alter it for a wedding 3 days later (I was out of the country, don't judge). I guess her name is Joanna, but she measured me so quickly, I was freaked out she was going to screw it up. She was able to alter the dress in 2 days and steam it and it fit absolutely wonderfully. AND, she only charged me $25+tax. I am so grateful that she came through in a crunch and I will definitely use her again in the future. read more

Lee's tailer is a family owned business in Bellevue. I brought in a pair of dress slacks that needed a button, she charged me a $1 and I got it back in less than an hour. We have been coming here for hella long. It's just up the street from the pad so it's mad convenient. The lady that works here is very attentive to what you want done but sometimes it's hit or miss when it comes time for your scheduled pick up so make sure you call first and give yourself some extra time. I think it's cause she does rush jobs sometimes and that might push regular jobs out a bit. She sends out for dry cleaning so that's outta her control. I bought an expensive Halloween costume online, which was supposed to be custom fit. It wasn't; it was too small! Well, Lee's Tailor took this job at the last minute, and worked overtime in order to get this costume wearable. She did a fantastic job, and so fast! Joanna is great! I've taken blazers, jeans, a trench coat, and even a bridesmaid dress to her and was impressed by her high quality and reasonable prices. The bridesmaid in particular would have cost nearly 4x as much if I had it altered at the store I purchased it from (a major bridal retailer). She closes at 6, which is usually enough time to allow me to get there after work, but she's offered to stay a little later if I need extra time, which is super nice. Highly recommended! read more

This is a small private business where the owner does all the work so you can expect great personal care. She's been in the tailoring for over 25 years so she definitely knows what she's doing. She's also upfront and honest about letting you know if your request will not work. For example, she taught me that one my skinny jeans needed to be shorter than what I originally requested, because once the break starts (since the opening is so slim), having the pants longer will not allow the length to flow-it would just make my legs look shorter since it will bunch at the bottom. One of my frequent alterations that I get done here is shortening denims using the original hem. An important thing to remember about payment: bring cash or check (no credit card machine here). read more

She is THE BEST! I love her and I am thankful she is still around. She has been in business quite a while. She was at her other location and I used to go see her almost 15 years ago. And then I moved back to Bellevue and tried to look for her, and she was at this location. Good thing Yelp had her listed, or I wouldn't have found her. She still does an amazing alteration job. I really wanted to like this place when I walked in there with a friend, but I think I have had the worst experience with any business here EVER. And I don't use those exaggerations lightly. I went in with two pair of pants and asked her that I wanted one pair to be altered to match the size of the other. She was a bit gruff, but that was ok with me. She measured the pants and then I asked her how many inches would she be removing (I needed this to update my measurements on MTM website where I ordered the pants). She got very angry at this point and said she doesn't have time for this and didn't want my business and basically kicked us out of the office. We were so embarrassed and humiliated. No one has ever treated me like this in my adult life. My best explanation is that when I asked her how much she would be removing, she perceived this as me not trusting her or the whole process taking too much time. But this is ABSOLUTELY no way to treat a customer. I am still shaken up from this experience and still feeling humiliated and embarrassed. I am never going back. read more

I have looked and haven't found a better tailor in the Bellevue/Redmond area. Her work is great and her prices are super reasonable. I keep coming back here. Definitely not social media savvy (doesn't always answer the phone, no website) but for the price, this seamstress's work can't be beat. read more

High quality work, I've taken lots of pants here to get hemmed shorter. She's usually pretty quick turnaround, often by the weekend if I drop it off on Wednesday. The only thing is that she only takes cash, which was a bit awkward the first time. read more
