I had been to this location a while back, almost four years exactly, for a blogger event, but couldn't leave a review then since the experience was comped. Last night, my in-laws, husband, and I got takeout from this location, though, so now I can leave a review. Lefty's used to have a WB location, which is a lot closer to us, but unfortunately it closed. My in-laws were craving cheesesteaks so we sent my MIL out to get takeout from this Lefty's (~15 min. drive) and then I realized it was the one I went to about four years ago. We all got the #4, the Sam's cheesesteak. My MIL and I got ours without the cheese sauce. Overall it was very good, and very filling; they have different sizes, too, as my FIL got a large size sub. We also got two sides of onion rings, which were good but more batter-y than crispy. Lefty's isn't cheap, I want to say each cheesesteak was like $15? While looking for something to eat on a late Friday night. My friend and I decided to try a new place. When we arrived, the restaurant was very brightly lit and we were nicely, greeted and placed our order at the counter. From what we could see there was only one person working that night . So we were a little nervous that we might be waiting a while cause she was also doing online orders. I ordered the cheesesteak and my friend ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. The cashier (Dylan) and cook (Damon) are so nice and accommodating. I wasn't sure what I wanted, but he allow me to take as much time as needed while deciding what to order. The 12 inch sub is pretty large--it can definitely feed 2. The fries were a bit mushy but I didn't let them breathe before closing the box. The restaurant is bright and clean. Not sure if it's MSG or sodium, but it feels like both... tried the brisket sandwich, without cheese and the bbq sauce was very salty. We never tried this place, so got several different things to sample. All extremely salty. I don't have hypertension, but I felt it after a few bites. Stopped in for dinner tonight. Mixed review for me for sure! My husband and I each ordered a combo - his was upgraded to a large and an order of onion rings. Our total was $43...OUCH!! Seemed like quite a lot of money for 2 fast food combos!!! The fries were average. Onion rings were not cooked long enough, and by the time we made it home, they were just a big ball of dough and onions! Now for the good part...Husband ordered a regular cheesesteak sub. I've been coming too lefty's for a year or two now and it's one of my favorites. They have sooo many locations now, but the food is still consistent. Highly recommend the "southpaw" cheesesteak that's topped with spicy Cheetos... and add extra hot cherry peppers, it's amazing. They're currently releasing new fried chicken sandwiches that I'm extremely eageer to check out, they look delish! The egg rolls are also one of their special treats that you canny really find anywhere else. We drove to a place down the street from lefty's to grab lunch, I'm so glad it was closed! Lefty's is great, it's very clean (which is an absolute must!) and the staff if super friendly. My husband and son ordered the Cheesesteak and I had the buffalo chicken sub. We also ordered the Ruben egg rolls and an order of their banana pudding. This is a quick dining restaurant you go up to the counter to order. I order the buffalo chicken hoagie with cajun seasoned French fries fries and dipped them into hot sauce. My friend got a classic philly cheessteak and he said it tasted very authentic and that it was knew ol f the best cheese steaks hes ever had.
