The peppers I got were lightly pickled but the flavor worked well, and some mushrooms added more substance. Even the small sized salad was a pretty good size and it came with their house bleu cheese as well as some generic croutons. I probably got the best order I could here, and it was distinctive in quality and generous in portion enough that I could see why the place is a successful local institution.

She was busy but was attentive. I had the chicken parm sandwich, my son had the chicken parm entree. The chicken was pounded evenly and not too thin, breaded and crunchy. The red sauce was a little sweeter than my tastes prefer but it was enjoyable, on good bread and I demolished it. The kid's pasta was a little softer than I usually make it. Overall, it was a good experience. Their location makes it likely that we'll stop here again.
