This is a pure takeout, which wasn't obvious to me up front but is fine. Cumberland has plenty of nice areas to eat outdoors. They promise Buffalo style pizza, and I can't say I've ever been to Buffalo but there is a bit of an interesting spice mix going on in the pizza sauce, and they do offer a lot of bleu cheese, including as a salad dressing. A medium pizza was quite substantial and I struggled to finish it. The vegetable options for toppings were respectable and some were marked as locally sourced. The peppers I got were lightly pickled but the flavor worked well, and some mushrooms added more substance. Even the small sized salad was a pretty good size and it came with their house bleu cheese as well as some generic croutons. I probably got the best order I could here, and it was distinctive in quality and generous in portion enough that I could see why the place is a successful local institution. read more

Great food, great service, best subs and pizza shop in Cumberland. Simply a good choice.

Fresh. Fast. Friendly. Suggestion from my hotel's front desk, and I'm glad I'll get a chance to visit again on my next trip! I went with a cheesesteak and was happy they suggested banana peppers or sweet peppers on their website. I never think to banana peppers, and it was top notch. Tasted fresh, and the French fries I ordered extra crispy were perfectly so! The roll was fresh, and had a slight chewiness to it; I'm not knocking that, it was awesome to me! Very reminiscent of cheesesteaks I ate growing up, so some good nostalgia in this one. Excited to stop back here next month! Also - the friendliness was top tier, and pushed it from four stars (which is a good number to me, for good). I was having an issue where I thought I had selected a tip amount, but didn't tap it well enough so the gentleman behind the counter pointed to the top and let me know it needed a selection. When I chose the tip amount, he asked to make sure that I intended to which I found to be very thoughtful - reminding me it wasn't expected or required but was surely appreciated. I tried calling multiple times with no answer, so I decided to show up to place my order in person, only to find they had decided to close an hour early. The pizza was hot and fresh, kinda reminds me of a thinner crust Pizza Hut as the bottom is kinda crispy kinda greasy in a good way! It was late on a Monday. I'm hungry and have a craving for a sub. No one! No one was open. I thought about JJs. Most likely they are closed. Nope!! They are open. I walk in and they are close to closing. They kindly take my order and whip up my order. The cheese steak was great!! First time ordering the steak sub here. I usually get that at the "other" place. Overall I think the positives outweigh the negatives here. This is a area household name back when I was growing up as the premier wing place in town. They get their wings shipped in everyday fresh - and overall things are very good in terms of their wing game. They also have, what locals would say, is the best bleu cheese dressing for the wings. In fact, it's so coveted that people actually can buy the stuff by the quart. I think it's pretty good, but there's something about it that makes me not give it a blue ribbon. Pizza isn't the highest quality - more like cafeteria grade school pizza - but i love it. Main issue is price. They are very very very expensive, which I believe stems from their food costs. I would say it's between 3-4 stars but the fact that this is more of a treat than an every week occurrence I think it is more than 4 stars. read more

On the word of a co-worker, we stopped at this pizza spot and I ordered a small spicy pepperoni and sausage and I only have one comment about it... I wish I ordered a medium or large. It was so good!! Perfectly spiced toppings and one of the best tasting crust I've had in a while. I was so mad I didn't order a medium that I asked my co-worker for a slice of his pizza as I did the fattest thing ever and finished my entire pizza before the 15 minute drive to the hotel. Best wings I've ever had. Ever. They even have old bay seasoning if you're feeling adventurous. Every time I'm traveling through, it's my first stop! Great pizza and wings. JJ's easily has the best buffalo chicken pizza in the area. The blue cheese curds added to the pizza make all the difference. The dough and crust is excellent. The prices are higher than other pizza/wing joints but I think the quality of their food makes it worth it. My only gripe with JJ's is consistency. For example, the buffalo chicken pizza sometimes hardly has any blue cheese curds. read more

Ordered delivery for the first time from JJ and Son's. Firstly, the food was delivered within the time they stated (30 mins). The wings were Great (ordered crispy and saucy, they did not disappoint). The small chef salad was actually much more than anticipated with plenty of meat on top. The homemade blue cheese was good, it's more creamy with less blue cheese crumbles than I'm used to but still very good. The homemade Catalina was also very good.
