Recently brought my wife's car in to repair some damage to the rear deck lid. We got 5 or so estimates and Legacy was the final quote. After talking to Peter and getting our quote, the smaller local small business type feel this place had was what sealed our decision to use them. Peter was super friendly and his quote was along the lines of the others. Legacy just had a more personal feel to it, not like a bigger corporate type place. Not that that is always bad, we just prefer to take care of smaller businesses. The car took 2 1/2 days as quoted. They were prompt on getting to us as soon as it was ready. My drivers side door was dented pretty badly. I took it in to Legacy and they explained the process, how it would be handled and corrected very thoroughly. They gave me an estimate which I felt was fair and reasonable. When I picked my car up, it was as if it had never been touched. The paint was identical and the dent was completely out! We were recommended this place by a local mechanic and took our car in. It's definitely an old car with an after-market hybrid battery, but it always runs. We have maintained it over the years, and even though it looks not-so-great it has always worked well. Our car was hit on the front and needed body repair. The impact was light and at very low speed. Mechanically we had no issues driving it around until we found a repair shop. When we took the car in there were no problems with any of the driving functionality of the car. When my wife went to pick it up, as soon as she started the car the dash lit up with everything. The shop had not told her anything about this and were apparently hoping we would just drive off. My wife went in to ask what was going on, and they sent someone out with a code reader to try to "clear all the lights". They kept the car a few more days to look at it and then notified us that the hybrid battery was broken and beyond warranty. That's it, they didn't acknowledge that they had done anything to cause this or offer any financial assistance in getting it repaired. For 4 years it had driven great on this battery, and after a few days in their shop the battery no longer worked. They bent over backwards to prove that the battery was old and past warranty and that "these batteries normally die after two years". It seems absolutely dishonest and unhelpful. I left feeling cheated and ripped off. I'm still thinking about suing, but I doubt that its worth it. read more

Being a car enthusiast I pay very close attention to detail when it comes to cars especially when handing over my keys. Got into a little family friend accident and my Civic was hit right on the quarter panel (only). Not the biggest dent but there was a a gnarly wrinkle that PDR could not fix. Legacy pricing is okay but also they aren't punks working on your car which I really appreciate. I took it in and 3 days later it was done. I wasn't quite happy with the job, but accidents happen! It was very VERY close but not to my approval, the color seemed right but the flake was slightly off. I pointed that out and WITHOUT hesitation they looked further into it. Paint work needs to be extremely accurate and especially with the slightest paint fade can make it a challenge. Got it back from Round 2 about a week after originally dropping it off. It came out ABSOLUTELY flawless can't even tell it was hit. Really appreciate them not telling me to deal with it or trying to charge me even more afterwards. No body is perfect, even I at first glance missed it but only once I pulled out my (make believe) magnifying glass did I notice it was ever so slightly off. Thats how you run a body shop. Thank you guys for taking care of my car and treating me with respect. 5 Stars for how these guys handle business. Definitely recommend if you are looking for a decent sized repair or respray. Got into an accident with my 2011 Genesis coupe, and when I had it towed to an appraiser, the driver recommenced this spot. Checked out YELP, and decided to give them a shot. So after a month of waiting, back and forth, talking with Peter, what's my verdict? This place is my new body spot. Hands down. Was the month a little longer than a normal collision? Yes. But Peter never lost communication, told me exactly what was happening, and was honest with me. And when I was reunited with my baby? Everything I asked for (in addition to the work required by insurance) was done beautifully. Paint was flawless, the car looked brand new from the first 6 inches. No bubbles, drips, fades, etc, It was great! So great, that I already recommenced my friends to him, and they've gotten work done there too. I went to about 5 or 6 places all around south Orange County to get a quote on my car, and yes, most people were friendly, but they gave me the best quote with the fastest time. Most places said it would take a week to fix my car and these guys fixed it in three days. They were easy to communicate with, always friendly, and they did an AMAZING job on my car. They didn't charge me a penny more than they quoted and on top of all that, I'm pretty sure they cleaned my car even though it had been raining like crazy.
