Three stars, easily. Maybe four, but maybe not. Allow me to explain... I was helping my son shop for a car - his was recently totaled, and in order to keep working, he needed a car asap. Legacy Auto Sales had a lot of listings for cars in his wheelhouse (price & mileage). It's about an hour drive for us, but with all those cars, we'd find SOMETHING reasonable. We met there to shop around... WELL! Upon arriving, we walked the lot together. I'd say a good one-third of the lot (maybe HALF the lot) was cars that were already sold. Many of the ones we came there to look at were sold. We talked to a nice sales guy and he explained that yeah, they sell fast. My problem was that we came all that way - the website STILL had them listed as for sale. Not cool. The owner figures he has other cars to sell that "are like those sold ones". Not cool. Update your stuff. Now, don't get me wrong - the folks here were real nice and down to earth. We found a couple options and they happily let us test drive whatever we wanted. After three rides, we realized that none of the cars we were looking at were cleaned or repaired. One absolutely reeked of smoke and...something else. Our sales guy said that they get them in from auction and put them on the lot right away. When you shop, you have to squint and pretend they're clean and fixed up, which is hard to do accurately. Had we bought a car, it would have been two weeks before it could get through their clean/fix process. That was a bit of a deal-breaker for us... we probably should have asked about that sooner before we spent hours there. Would I buy a car here? Perhaps. I think they need to get on top of their backlog of clean/fix and get ready-to-buy cars on their lot. I'm not keen on buying a promise. If I made a deal and 2 weeks later they didn't get the car up to snuff, I'da wasted my time. Others may have that luxury. My advice - call ahead to make sure the car you want is there. read more

So two years later and a couple of cross-half-the-country trips and the little car is doing fine. Of course there have been some repairs needed every once in a while, but we're still happy with the purchase and the dealership. read more

Nothing short of a nightmare, purchased a Kia and 9 days later the engine blew, Best advice is to go to a real dealership and purchase a certified vehicle. Don't throw away your hard earned money. read more

I test drove 5-6 different vehicles. On the checklist on the rear driver side window all boxes were checked no for everything. Meaning nothing was found wrong on the entire list. First item on that checklist was heat and air-conditioning, and it was checked no indicating nothing was found wrong. When I drove the car, the air conditioner did not work. Every other vehicle I drove needed repairs of some kind, some more than one item. When I told them, I was interested in a particular car, I was told I must purchase it before they would make it right. Unbelievable, that would be blind trust. None of our vehicles showed any items on that checklist being faulty. Most had high mileage with obvious physical things wrong with a vehicle. Not recommended to buy from this dealer who puts cars in need of repair on the lot for sale with nothing being repaired on them before trying to sell it. Several had check engine lights on the dash and I was told all used cars have check engine lights on. I recommend you run to a different dealer and save yourself a bad experience. read more

Tried buying a car from this company . Made an appointment to come look at it test drive and buy it. I live 2 hrs away from this place work one hour away . I left work early brought my daughter with since it was going to be her first car . I called when I was 15 minutes away so they could get the car ready . Nope they just sold it ! What kind of people do that to one another ? Terrible business . I will make points to inform as many people possible so these people don't don't do this to anyone else . The owner transformed a neglected corner lot with an aging vacant house into a nice-looking business on the edge of town. Buying-out an adjacent auto repair shop that had a tired look was the jewel on the crown of this endeavor to give a polished welcome into Jefferson and show hope to small-town progress. The lot is well-stocked and inventory is updated frequently. I get the impression that prices are competitive and fair. The car I bought showed a markdown from the original cost, so I felt I got a good deal and a year and a half later the vehicle has been worry-free. Prior to buying it they fixed a problem with the vent damper, which was nice of them. My only gripe is that when I arrived at a scheduled time to pick it up, a day after Brian called to say it was ready, it was at their other lot having something done to it. I had walked a half-mile to get it, and I got only some sheepish response as to why it was in fact "not ready". So I made hime drive me home then pick me up a few hours later when it would then "be ready". There's always some rub that happens when doing business with this industry; that's why the reputation is so tarnished. I would have been happy with a follow-up call to delay my arrival to pick it up, but no such courtesy. So my advice to others would be to babysit the process fully in lieu of that, lest you become prey to any shortcoming like this. read more

Called about a vehicle to check availability since about an hour away. Got good info that they run all vehicles thru inspection and provide the info they find as well as car fax was on file, even said I could take to my own mechanic- even tho an hour away. Awesome right - well I get there again told him when I was coming, at first he didn't know which lot the car was at but luckily it was right there - very very dirty which he did say, as not thru inspection yet but I could test drive it but couldn't yet take to my mechanic- they needed to find and fix anything before another mechanic needs to tell them what they would find. Well that really could have been said before I drove all the way there. Well it drove fine and then was told to put money down to hold and they would have inspection ASAP. Also he agreed over and over again the deposit is refundable. Well over the weekend I started questioning the process - I called - he repeatedly called me Amy even after I told him my name twice - which is not Amy and it's not a refundable deposit unless there was a safety issue with the car and the reason I couldn't take to my mechanic was cause they had previously before I drove done the inspection but was waiting on a part?? But could not tell me the part - possibly a suspension part, I questioned them if I should have even been able to drive or not - then the talking I circles began. At that point I didn't want to waste my time going back down there - they did graciously refund me most of my deposit which WI laws says they didn't have to do. Honestly if the car would have just been ready I probably would have just bought but all extras let me think too much that I could not bring myself to have my kid in an old car for a high price. Sucks that my county has limited vehicles available but was not as desperate as he thought I was to have a vehicle- lesson learn in my part read more

I really wanted to give LAS a 5-star review. I felt that, while I was there, the service was pretty good. I suppose what I can't get past is everything around the circumstances of my visit and their reactions. I'll explain. So, right before Christmas I went on CarGurus just browsing around and came across a 2015 Chrysler 200 with 85k miles in it for $7480! I was like...what? Accident free? Check. Maintenance current? Check. Wow. So right after Christmas I sent a message to them asking if it was still available. Finally, on the 30th I got a call from Brian. He tells me that the car is still available, so I tell him that I'm interested and that I was busy till the new year and that I'd come see it on the 3rd. He said ok. Come Friday the 3rd, anxious to go see the car, I decided to check the web again to be sure it was still listed. It was......for $8980! What? I was so pissed. So I said forget it, I don't to buy a car from someone who knows I'm interested in one and jacks the price up $1500! Then, a few days later, I'm driving past the lot and I see the car and it has a tag in the front window that says $7480! So I turn in and go in and I tell the Salesman the story, and it turns out it's Brian. So, to make a very long story just long, Brian had no clue. Don't get me wrong, Brian was a very nice guy, sociable, and does his job Fairly well. It's just, maybe He should take notes on customers who say they're coming in to see a vehicle. After a long time and having to ok it through the CFO, he tells me that they'll sell me the car for that price! I'm like, umm yeah, with the sign on it still saying $7480 I would think so! Anyway, it was a pleasant buying experience, the vehicle is superb, the only thing that made me a little upset was that after the whole ordeal, they made it sound like I was getting the "deal oF the century" and that I was somehow getting away with something. What a crock! They would have me believe that they messed up and put the wrong price on the front tag AND online for three weeks? I don't think so. I think they got caught trying to screw me out of $1500 and then the vehicle was mispriced from the beginning was their convenient excuse. This is the third car I've bought from this company. If anything, rather than tell me how great of a deal I'm getting because of their "screw up", maybe they should have apologized for trying to screw me over, getting caught, and offer to knock $500 of the price as a part of that apology considering Their complete incompetence and ignorance in the matter to a long time customer!! Instead, they kept badgering me to go online and leave them a stellar review on here over and over again! One side note, despite all of this, I did have a nice experience there. Josh the finance guy(Or manager or cfo or whatever he was) was just a great guy. Very friendly, very charismatic, and very professional. That's why this review has been such a pain in the ass writing because I went through a whole range of emotions while I was there! In the end, I did get a good deal (not the deal of the century!) on a very clean, nice vehicle, but the lack of integrity and honesty cannot go unmentioned. With that being said, I would still entertain the idea of purchasing yet another vehicle from LAS if not solely for the mere fact that they have outstanding vehicles despite their mediocre salesmanship! read more
