I stopped by legacy Bagels this morning, and I was greeted with good mornings and how are yous. I only got a cup of coffee, which was very delicious and cheap for the amount I received. Omg our jaws hurt so much after eating one bagel. Up here, the only real bagel options are Legacy Bagels, Einstein's, and Bagel Fresh Deli in The Colony. This is our least favorite. Bagel Fresh Deli was great before they switched owners. If you told me the plain bagel was a whole wheat bagel, I would believe you. The cinnamon sugar was nice because it's on the top and bottom unlike some places that only have it on top. Both were just hard as hell to chew. We both gave up after eating 3/4 of the bagel. Their bagels are also much more expensive here. Bagel Fresh Deli is $1.69 and Legacy Bagels is $2.29 for a plain bagel. Their drive thru seemed really efficient and they were on it getting cars through. The girl working the cash register with short brown hair was doing a great job as well. It's SUPER loud inside when the bagel cutting gets going so if you're going to work inside, bring noise canceling headphones. There's outlets at the bar seating, which is nice. On another note, we were dining inside along with another gentleman and about 4-5 patrons were waiting for their to-go orders. I noticed an older gentleman, I assume the owner, came out to wipe tables and asked the other patron how his visit was, greeted the to-go patrons and completely ignored us. Maybe he doesn't like our "type". There's also a Bible verse inscribed on their door. I can't remember what it said, but hence why they're closed on Sundays. read more

Almost none of the employees were wearing masks, which is weird given the virus and the fact they are preparing food. The girl at the cash register wasn't friendly. Bagels aren't bad. They have a crust and They're soft but not really that chewy. While the coffee is decent it somehow managed to bleed through the cup. They're definitely over priced in my opinion I've never seen everything bagels cost more than any other standard bagel like plain or garlic etc... a dozen bagels also cost more here than back in New York at all bagel stores. We don't have any great bagel places around us in Frisco so we took an 11 minute drive to try this place out! Love the family-owned atmosphere. The staff knows a lot of the people that walk in. Staff is attentive and we ate inside and it wasn't noisy or boisterous. I don't know why people are complaining about the pricing...if you wanna go to a McDonald's for $1 less, there's your price point. Pricing for the bagels and bagel sandwiches seems pretty normal to me for fresh baked bagels. We ordered the Lox and cream cheese and the el bandito! They were yummy and filling. The drive thru time was 7 minutes for a toasted bagel and coffee - and I was the only person in the drive thru.. Got a cinnamon raisin bagel - which was pretty at first and then got really tough after about 2 minutes. I'm really just bothered by the service honestly. Made me never want to go back. I was really looking forward to this place when I saw it opened... I just personally don't like dealing with bad vibes and negative attitudes so I'm just going back to not eating breakfast. With gas almost a $5 a gallon, my usual trek to Plano for rainbow bagels is on hold (tears). I thought I'd try Legacy, hoping for some semi authentic NY bagels. (No one beats Cafe 21 in Plano, btw!) The lukewarm reviews almost deterred me, but a soft, bready bagel from the grocery store wasn't gonna cut it for my fancy, expensive Farmers Market cream cheese (shout out to Full Quiver Farms... so good. Garlic basil cream cheese). The reviews for the non existent, terrible service are spot on. They were semi busy but good lord, the boy at the register was terrible. I get it, teenagers are teenagers but gah, c'mon. What should have been a 5-10 minute in and out took more than 20 minutes. For two bagels. Not toasted, or even sliced. Just two bagels plain to go. Sigh. I almost left after ordering, then watching the kid take another order, When he could've just thrown my two freaking bagels in a bag and sent me on my way. I also witnessed the order in front of me have every single one of her bagels incorrect. I had already driven all the way down here and waited this long so I held out. I got a cheddar bacon bagel and an onion bagel. They were pretty decent, not nearly as chewy as an authentic New York bagel but not necessarily like a roll from the grocery store. Meh. Happy to see the place opening, although the Sunday hours are too short, but I understand the religious aspect. My issue is my husband came through drive thru, requested an Asiago bagel with vegetable cream cheese un-toasted. They should either ask if you want us to put any cream cheese on it? as I like to toast my bagels once they are at home... & which I am knawing thru a fully made bagel I can't toast. Used the drive-through for my first visit to Legacy Bagels on their Grand Opening Day. 2 bagels and a coffee. Had the bagels toasted just the way I like them and thought they were great! Enjoyed the coffee as well. Thought some of the other reviews were a bit brutal, especially during the first opening week. Takes time to train employees and to get things running smoothly.
