I'm honestly surprised by some of the reviews because my experience at this Panera has been consistently great. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, the food is fresh and on point, and the cookies never disappoint. What really stood out to me is the management. You can actually see managers out on the floor helping guests, running food, and checking on people instead of hiding in the office. Ozzie and KC, thank you! Every time I get a salad from Panera, I get the core of a lettuce head. Furthermore, I get the lightest color of lettuce with very little green in it. It is lacking in flavor and nutrition and it hardly seems worth the money. I always ask for the salad without the deli type chicken in it, so it seems I'm paying for a lot more than I get. My half sandwich looked like it was put together by a toddler. The floors are dirty as heck and covered in food. They have inventory boxes and stuff stacked on tables and around the dinning area. The employees there are so loud and used unpleasant talk with each other that the dining room could loudly hear and foul language. I went in by myself and was one of two customers there. It was a horrible experience. Do not tip at the register I personally do not feel the crew delivered. They only quieted down when the manager got there. I spoke with the manager and as soon as he left it went back to loud noises that interfere with the experience. I was told that because I was near the window from the kitchen that gives out the food that was why I heard them talking about their lives with foul language. I heard the lead or whoever yelling to the employeea about what tasks need to be done. I heard the team all talking very, very loudly about their personal lives. I went in alone for a quiet lunch after I had just finished getting a serious diagnostic health test done. I treated myself for a little bit of peace. I have never had a more poor experience with Panera on 380 in Prosper than that one. And I am done with tip buttons when I am just getting food handed over a counter. I placed a rapid pick up order for 2 sandwiches and a salad. The sandwiches were great - plenty of meat and cheese with fresh veggies inside. The salad, for the most part, was okay. Panera has always been our goto spot for quick lunch. They have variety of options of soup, salad and sandwiches. BBQ Chicken salad is our favorite with Broccoli Chhedar soup. However their ambience is very mediocre and upkeep housekeeping wise has room for improvement. Nobody was cleaning up the tables after customers left. Not a good thing to not attend to empty tables for others who are walking in and waiting to dine in. Lil upsetting when they mess up while preparing or translating the orders too. Man, times must be tough for Panera Bread because I ordered a veggie sandwich and although I didn't tell them to "hold the veggies", they really acted like I did and skimped out on them. Sure! They threw in a couple of leafs of lettuce, which probably cost them 3 cents and then 4 slices of cucumbers (another 3 cents). Apparently that isn't a thing anymore, however, I check the Internet as well and it said that. It doesn't bother me that I got the cookie or not, it was the way the manager acted. very rude and I was embarrassed, there was other people behind me. I continued to order my sandwich and left. I use Panera bread quite a bit because I live in Houston, I did call the corporate office and made a comment about this. I just went by the drive through and I wish I would have caught the hound lady name. She was so personable! She had dirty blonde hair and wore glasses. She gave me the best customer service and was so kind. One of the things she did was ask me for my phone number connected to the rewards program. I haven't ever had that happen and we'll I forget. She decides to go in and take them up on their offer for her free birthday cookie! What is happening with Panera? Who is sinking this ship? They've slightly updated the restaurants to limit interaction with patrons. You order yourself, you then wait for them to either page you or yell your name across the restaurant, then get your own drinks if they forget yours, then wipe and clean your own table before eating. The food is at least good. But then you also bus your own table. And don't forget to tip....who, exactly? Ordered online curb side pick up and got there 10 mins before it being ready. Drive was had 20 people in line curb side pick up parking lanes full. Noticed people walking in to pick up orders. When my order was ready, i just walked in. The person apologized the could not walk out because they are busy which I understand. This location is NEVER adequately staffed I am watching the kitchen drown during lunch rush. Why are we being asked to tip?? Really frustrated bc this location is closest to my house but it's SO hot or miss. The green tea is almost always a miss. I've been driving to the Frisco one bc they're dependable, I had a good green tea from prosper last night (I want to like it I really do!) drove through again today and back to the watered down experience I've had every other time. Spent my $3.24 and drove directly to Frisco's main and the tollway location to get another $3.24 tea that is actually AMAZING. I will say the manager and several employees at the prosper one are really nice and last time that we had a major issue they comped our next meal, but the green tea situation is frustrating. Surely it's standard shipped from corporate... right? Idk but today I decided to take a picture, as the Frisco one pointed out how much darker there's looks below the ice. I'm obsessed with this tea and it replaced my Starbucks obsession but would prefer to be able to get it close by (I'm up in Celina). I get extra ice every time in case it's hot and that's why it's melting.. nope, still watered down tasting. Dinning room is still not open. I've tried to eat lunch here twice in the past few months but the dinning room has been closed. I get it, COVID has caused staffing issues. So, it's been about two months since my last attempt and I was in the mood for soup and bread for lunch again. BUT, I decided to call first just to make sure the dinner room was open. The automated message stated "Our dinning room is now open", so I figured I was in luck. However, when I arrived, I discovered that the dinning room was only open for delivery drivers picking up online orders. Frustrated, I complained. The manager stated that there was a sign on the door. I stated that I can't read the sign from my home, that's why I called first. He simply shrugged and said the message was automated. He didn't really care and I left before I blew up. We went to McAlister's instead. I eat out several times a week. Other than Panera, it's been many, many months since I've encountered a closed dinning room. Panera, please pay your employees a living wage so you can staff your restaurants and staff them with people who wish to work in the hospitality industry. You come off as cheap and not caring about your team members. You're creating a culture of burn and churn. As you yell "next!" to those willing to work for minimum wage, we're moving on to better staffed restaurants offering a better meal experience. read more

Such a beautiful location, such bad food. My husband and I came here at 8:30 on a Saturday and paid $37 for our meals (CRAZY!) and the food just looked bad. I had a pick 2 and my sandwich was sloppy with a huge chunk of avocado (could have been sliced and evenly spread perhaps) and a ball of peppers on one end. Also the Mac and cheese looked so old and reheated. When I go to the Panera on Main Street in Frisco it looks so fresh and almost soupy with all the cheese it has but this looked awful. This location in Gates of Prosper literally just opened. It looks different, like a more modern design. I loved it! All windows windows and more windows. They're going to need to invest in shades though. That southwest sun was blinding and raging right around 6:05pm to 6:40pm. A bit too intense actually. Food was fresh and flavorful. New location meant some delays in line but all went well. Staff was friendly and great. They'll become experts on the system. I love the seating area. Nice back area full of light and more private than the main dining area. I've not seen that at any other Panera's. A big high five on that. Very large patio area. It was quite windy today though...so, was without any takers. Too gusty. My fave Panera item is the standard Greek Salad with Chicken. It was amazing as usual. The new McKinney location is closer to me but this Gates of Prosper location will now be my go-to. See you soon. read more

They totally messed up our delivery order and when I called I was treated to a supposed manager telling me that I would need to come in to get the order fixed after I paid for delivery and tip. Then when I demanded the order be fixed they inform me that what I ordered is no longer available this evening. That's convenient. I ordered their bacon and spinach soufflé and it was horrible! I have had it before, pre-pandemic and I remembered them being similar to Starbucks egg bites. They were seriously inedible. They were made with cheese that was not real cheese and there was no spinach at all. They cost more than the egg bites from Starbucks which is saying a lot.
