Just had fasting labs done and I was ready for some coffee and breakfast. Did a search for nearby bagels and Benny's popped up. Nice little place with chill music and really friendly service. I went with my usual sesame bagel with a schmear of veggie cream cheese. I received a fresh bagel with a nice chew and tasty cream cheese. The coffee (choices were Benny's Blend (which I tried) and Southern Pecan) was good also. Definitely was a good choice today for breakfast. read more

Do not order through door dash from this store. I ordered a breakfast bagel on door dash and a toasted bagel with cream cheese. The breakfast bagel was a dry egg cake and the protein option selected was not added. Literally a dry bagel with a dry cake of flavorless egg. No cheese as described, no protein as ordered. On top of that, the bagel with cream cheese was cold when it was ordered toasted and there was so much cream cheese I had to remove it and had enough for a small container. If you are not willing to give your door dash customers the same level of service and care as your walk ins, don't take door dash! This was awful product and service! I ordered a bacon, egg & cheese with cream cheese on an everything bagel, and I have to say the sandwich itself was really good overall. The bagel didn't taste especially fresh, but the flavors came together nicely and it definitely hit the spot. The vanilla iced latte, however, wasn't my favorite. The straw was stapled to the bag in my pick-up order (which made it unusable), and the drink itself was much more like a milkshake than coffee--extremely sweet, milky, and I couldn't drink it. That said, if you're going for a bagel sandwich, Benny's does a solid job. I'd just stick to the food side of the menu next time. read more

My friend and I come here every couple of weeks. We've tried different things on menu and they're all genuinely delicious. My husband favorites right now are the spiced chai and early riser sandwich. The prices are very affordable too, especially for the area. The service is exceptional. No matter when we stop by, everyone is always delightful. I think I was excited to get a bagel sandwich here after being in NYC for a few days. I was not impressed with the bagel fixings. The egg was a bit weirdly cooked, the sausage was grey, and there was more cream cheese than protein after I asked for light cream cheese. We tried them again for good measure and it was the same sadly. We will not go back. The store was fine. Small seats and the absolute worst utensils and napkins. lol 1/10 read more

Good fresh bagels my wife and I went here 3 days in a row for breakfast brunch. The only gripe would be the lack of generosity on the lox bagels which explains the 4 stars. Taste was on par and the staff was nice. Laid back layout in store if you wanted to eat in. Again it would've been 5* but the portion of lox was very chincy. read more

Great little neighborhood bagel shop. The bagels are fresh and tasty. For my first visit I tried a jalapeño bagel with jalapeño cream cheese. The bagel was yummy and was definitely made fresh in house. The cream cheese seemed like cream cheese and salsa were mixed together. Not what I was expecting but still good. On my next visit (just a few days later) I tried the NYC bagel. This bagel is their version of the Everything bagel + garlic and onion. Very good and worth ordering again. The menu includes other such staples as lox and cream cheese. The line moves pretty quickly but if you are grabbing to go, there isn't much of a waiting area. Bennys bagel is really good . The only reason I removed a star is due to the lack of meat provided on the bagel. The egg is substantial but could use more cheese and meat. The establishment has. About 6 tables so it's very quaint but I would definitely return. The price is reasonable and the food is good. read more

Don't waste your time or your money here. I ordered for my daughter a plain bagel with plain cream cheese and a sprite via DoorDash. The bagel was completely burnt (my daughter sent a picture to me) and the sprite had zero syrup in it - just plain carbonation. I called to see if we could fix it. The employee had the owner call me and say "We just don't give food to anyone. You can just buy it again." We just wanted her order fixed. Simply that. I even made sure my daughter didnt eat or drink anymore other than the couple bites at first. I've been in the service industry. I know how it works. We were fully prepared to give that order back to the restaurant in full transparancy. I also informed the restaurant of that. Just absurd customer service. Total New Yorker here, writing this review. If you are a new yorker, then you know how important it is to have a good bagel with cream cheese and lox. To date, I haven't found a comparable bagel.. until now. My bagel didn't exactly have the tough shell that I'm used to but it had the flavor and the inside chew factor. I was there for lunch, happen to be nearby, and grabbed a honey wheat (trying to be healthy here!) with cream cheese, lox, and yes with the capers. It being lunch, they were out of a few of the flavors of bagel, so my advice is to go early, which I plan on doing next time I'm in that area. If i wasn't seeing patients, I would have totally gotten the everything bagel OR their version of a NYC bagel.. which is an everything bagel + onion + garlic. IMO, that might be overkill! It would definitely keep the mosquitos away. The only thing that would have made this perfect lunch was a little 1/4 pound container of either macaroni salad or potato salad (that's how they serve it in NY) but I really can't ask for too much! read more

Benny's Bagels went above and beyond in helping us with our catering order! We had guests from out of the country for our company's meeting that were very strict about kosher certification and food handling, and they loved Benny's Bagels! The staff was amazingly friendly and the food was so fresh! When we brought the treats and goodies into the office, the entire staff came quickly to enjoy the deliciously fantastic meal. Benny's sprung from the idea of three friends in Dallas, TX. Benny is the bulldog that sits on every counter of every Benny's Bagels. The name has since been taken over by various individual families, but the idea stays the same -- traditional New York-style bagels that are boiled and baked. Meet the Business Owner: Andrew C.

Andrew is a people person who's good at building relationships. He's traveled and lived internationally for much of his life and helped launch well-known American brands in China and other countries. Having worked in blue chip multinational corporations and advertising agencies, he wanted to spend more time with his family. Therefore, he quit his position as Director of Global Marketing with a large restaurant chain and bought Benny's Bagels in 2010. He wants to create a business based on personal service and pride in the product like it was in the past.

Treating guests differently based solely on party size is unacceptable and left a very bad impression.

Chicken and waffles 7/10: I didn't realize this came with eggs and it had an over easy egg on top when it came out. I had to send it back because I don't eat over easy eggs. I did ask for them scrambled and I didn't take a picture of those, but they were really good. They were cooked to perfection. I wasn't a fan of the waffle. It didn't have much flavor and was a little soggy to me. The chicken didn't have much flavor, was slightly overcooked and a little dry. The breading easily came off of the chicken which I didn't care for. Truffle tater tots 8/10: I love tater tots and these did not disappoint. Perfect serving size nice and crispy and a decent amount of the Parmesan cheese on top.

The bacon was cooked perfectly, and my spouse LOVED the smashbrowns! Will came to our table to check in with us a few times, and was always polite and friendly. The restaurant itself looked & felt clean, the bathroom was perfectly clean, we loved all the windows letting in the sunshine. There's also patio seating available, that we'll come back to enjoy on a cooler fall morning. The restaurant is an order up front, take a number, and seat yourself concept, which works for this restaurant model. Overall, we enjoyed our food very much, the atmosphere felt cozy, modern, but somehow still nostalgic, and the biscuits were really wonderful. The potatoes were beyond overly salted, and their latte is so sweet. A waste of money as I threw out both.
