Do not waste your time! Last month, I made an appointment and when I arrived, the guy was already with another client. He said he'd attend to me quickly -- 30 minutes later, I said I was leaving. He very politely asked me to wait and promised he was almost done, so I waited another 10 minutes and then he finally finished. Today, the same thing happened again but with a different employee. When we arrived, he was just starting with another client and said he'd be done in 15 minutes. Guess what? I waited 30 minutes and he was nowhere near done. Booked for an appointment via Blismo for 11am , arrived 5 mins early, but the barber was a no-show. After 15-20 mins I bounced.

I have been here twice now and I decided to write a review because I have got 2 really good haircuts and great service from Legacy Barber Shop. First off, full disclosure: I am a 50 year old white guy with coarse grey hair with a double-crown, which makes my hair difficult to cut. Alan has been cutting my hair and he has done a great job. Not only does he cut really close to skin on the side and back (at my request), but also blends in the top and top-sides in nicely. After my hair grows out, it grows evenly and perfect until the next haircut. It looks great at the start after the cut, and great after it grows out. I appreciate that Alan (and the shop) listens to customers' needs. Another cool thing is not just the haircut (which has included neck shave upon request, which I love), but another thing is that the guys let me let me play some of my requested music in the shop for everyone to hear. I chose "Naima" by John Coltrane. And they play a lot of early-1990's hip hop, which I also really like. The shop is exceptionally clean and the atmosphere friendly. It's a hidden gem in Fremont. It's hard to come by a decent barber in the Fremont area so I was excited to find Legacy's. I chose Legacy Barbershop because of the good yelp reviews so I had high expectations. We stopped by without having an appointment and didn't have to wait. Overall they seemed moderately busy for a Friday afternoon so it probably makes sense to call ahead just in case. My son's hair looked great today and I can say with 100% certainty that I wouldn't go anywhere else in the Fremont area. What usually bothers me is when barbers are clearly rushing or don't listen to what you want them to do but Norris took his time and cut my sons hair exactly how I wanted it. Decided to stop by as it says here on yelp they're open for business, walking to the door one of their barbers who's very unhappy to be working told me they were only doing appointments and I told him I've tried calling but number was disconnected and being very rude he told me to text that number to try a appointment for next day. How people will know your business phone is a cellphone? Why don't you communicate trough platforms like this one here with your potential new customers? What can I say. Teray has been my barber for at least 12-13 years now. Still get my $50 month cuts. My cut is always on point. Never lets me down. Drinks on the house if you know where it is. I went there yesterday and got a haircut from Norris. When I walked in,I thought everyone would be like "Are you lost or something? " cuz I'm a Chinese dude and i was holding my daughter. But no they are super friendly. Tbh it was my first time getting a cut from a non-Chinese barber.i know it's funny but yea, I decided that I want something different. The barber I use to go to doesn't seem to understand what fade is and never did it right. I got a cut by Norris, and he was super professional and into the details. It took him more than an hour to get my hair done since I have so much hair and my hair is super thick. I even asked him to trim my top hair and that's the funny part, my hair is long and super straight, I guess he has never dealt with something like that before.
