I would not recommend Legacy Carpet and Upholstery because of the extremely poor customer service. While the carpet cleaning itself was barely passable, the process was unacceptable from start to finish. The price of the service was double the original estimate quoted to my assistant, even after we called back to inform them of extra areas we wanted cleaned. The secretary never asked for square footage, which made the estimate inaccurate to begin with. After clarifying and approving the service, the owner called my assistant and told her that if she was unhappy with the estimate, he could stop all work and we would "at least receive a free vacuum service." Once the job was completed and payment was sent via Zelle, my assistant then attempted to leave. The service provider told her she could not leave until the payment was confirmed, even though Zelle was experiencing a known outage that delayed transactions. She showed proof of the sent payment, but he went so far as to insist she remained and intimidated her into staying on the property until I spoke with the owner directly. This conduct was intimidating, unprofessional, and unacceptable. No customer or employee should ever be detained or pressured over a payment issue outside of their control. My assistant was deeply upset and traumatized by the experience, and we are actively considering filing charges regarding the refusal to allow my assistant to leave after payment was issued. read more

I've used Legacy from time to time over several years. After the cat with liver (or was it kidney) problems passed away along with her sad symptoms it was time for professional help. There's only so much the Bissell handheld and various sprays and magic solutions can do. Rafael was assigned to clean our carpets which are nearing aging out. The staircase was in particular need along with a spot here and there. He waved his magic wand, ran the hoses up from the truck, worked hard and really got the job done to our satisfaction. The word professional is an under statement for Josh, The prep work and post clean up was amazing , I was surprised he actually got the carpets to look like they did . I thought no way he can get all the stains out but he did without harsh chemicals . Attention to detail and respect for my home . He also has a built in water filtration system on his vehicle which takes the tap water and makes it super clean, he uses the clean water to clean the carpets , that makes sense after all you can only get things as clean as the water you wash them in. If you're sitting here scrolling through yelp trying to find the best carpet cleaner in town, look no further, Josh from Legacy is your man! From the initial phone call, I had a good feeling about this company. Josh was extremely professional and knowledgeable about the whole process. Unfortunately, a lot of businesses these days fail to call you back, cancel set appointments etc. it's really sad actually, but Josh is one of the rare businesses left that truly understands CUSTOMER SERVICE. The whole process was so painless and was more than happy with, not only the business side of Legacy, but the service as well. Let me just say that we really put Josh to the test. We have a rental property that we were in the process of prepping for new tenants. The old tenant left a pretty gnarly stain up in the bedroom, and by looking at it, one would assume that there was no way that was gonna come out, especially since it had been sitting for over a year. Josh said it was gonna be tough, no guarantee it would come out 100%, but he wanted to give it his best shot. We knew we were asking for him to perform a miracle, so anything he could to help us was going to be greatly appreciated. If not, we were going to have to spend thousands to replace the carpet all together. Josh was amazing through the process, updating us with photos. Everything looked great the first time around, but the next day something happened where the stain reappeared, so I called him. He did let me know that was a common occurrence, especially with a stain so deep that it went down to the carpet pad, he said it was called "wicking." He was so helpful and insisted he come back (that very next day!) as he wanted to give it another go. Second time around still looked great but there was one last area that was really stubborn. So Josh came back a third and final time to take care of business, and so the miracle happened! The stain is gone for good! I was beyond impressed at the level of professionalism on his end. His customer service skills are beyond outstanding and he knows his stuff!!! He went above and beyond the call of duty and ultimately saved us thousands of dollars. Words can't even express how grateful we are to have found him. I would stand behind his work any day, he is the man when it comes to carpets. If only all businesses could run like Legacy.
