Unfortunately, our thermostat had a blank screen when he turned back on the breaker after the cleaning. He advised us that happens sometimes. We had no idea. It would of been nice if they would of communicated this to us prior to the cleaning. Or even have us sign a waiver to protect them from liability. Thankfully, our thermostat was still communicating to the furnace, so we had heat. We were referred to Total Comfort Heating and Air by the owner of Bulldog, Jason Peterson. Mark from Total Comfort came out the same day. He advised us that we had to purchase a Lennox thermostat due to the type of unit we had, so we could not just install any thermostat. Total Comfort did not have parts for Lennox so he needed time to find a vendor that did. Again, we still had heat so we were in no rush. That is until the owner, Mr. Peterson came to our home early afternoon on February 11, 2026 to met with my husband. He wanted to make sure his company did not cause the thermostat issue. While we appreciated him "trying" to help, he left us with no heat. Now we had no thermostat and no heat. We contacted Summers, which is who installed our HVAC system, and their tech did not have a Lennox thermostat either. It would be Monday of the following week before they could get one. The Summers tech tried to bypass some wires in hopes our furnace would start running, but the furnace was throwing communication errors. We ended up having to purchase space heaters to keep warm for the night. Mr. Peterson wanted to come back to our home that evening and we advised him twice not to. We voiced our concern of damaging our whole system and reiterated what the two HVAC companies had advised us of installing a non communicating thermostat. To our surprise, Mr. Peterson showed up at our home at 9pm that night! My husband was not home at that time, which caused me to panic. New home, new surroundings, a man that I had never met in person wanting to come in after being told twice not to. Mr. Peterson claims he came because he wanted to help us. If that were the case, he should of made sure we had heat after messing with our unit earlier that day. The following day, I went to Lennox's website to find an authorized dealer near us in hopes of getting our heat working as soon as possible. Reliable Comfort was the only one. We had no time to research other options that may have been available due to the no heat situation. We ended up paying for two space heaters and Total Comfort $1,100 for a thermostat in order to get our heat working again. We felt it was only fair to be reimbursed for said monies. Mr. Peterson offered to refund the monies we paid his company for the duct cleaning, which was $531. We declined asking for the full amount. Mr. Peterson then offered to pay $550. Again, we declined asking for the full amount. Mr. Peterson then offered to pay $772. Again, we declined and requested the full amount. If Mr. Peterson did not leave us without heat due to his negligence, we would not be leaving this review. Today, February 19, 2026, I started the process of getting all emails, texts, and information on our unit together so we could file a claim in small claims court. It was overwhelming to say the least. We just wanted to move on. We emailed Mr. Peterson to ask if the offer of $772 was still on the table. We received no reply. At 6:32pm tonight, I texted Mr. Peterson, asking if the offer was still on the table. At 7:17pm he responded stating all offers were no longer available. We thanked him for responding since he didn't have to. There is an abundance of communication of us trying to settle this out of court. Now, we go back to preparing our claim. To clarify, we have a Lennox IComfort system.

They are very friendly and the technicians are very professional however. We used them to do electrical wiring for our basement, it was two new breakers to install three light switches and a dozen led light boxes, just under 7k. They were supposed to do plumbing of a bathroom sewage pump, valve for a softener to drain, and shower install with a rough out for a sink, 9k. They miss-scheduled the appointment for plumbing and instead of just saying oops let's fix that they spent their time telling me I scheduled Monday and Tuesday and it's a two day appointment so that's why I am receiving multiple reminders for my appointment on Monday and Tuesday to start, despite my repeating it is Tuesday and Wednesday because I would not be home on Monday as I told the tech who did the estimate. The electrical part they would not take payment for until they finished the job despite my request to pay as they go. Since it requires the plumbing team to finish first they said they would come back when their plumbers finished, still daily texts and calls to schedule the final electrical which according to their tech couldn't be done until the plumbing THEY were scheduled to do. Their AI based system is terrible. Their work is quality and their human customer service team is frustrating but friendly. We canceled the plumbing and now will cancel the finish work for electric as well. Too expensive to justify these annoyances in my opinion. We were convinced to buy their service plan for our ac and electric, not sure what that really gives us but we won't be using it now anyway. I'd caution anyone from using them without a few estimates first.

We live in an old house, so it sadly came with the territory and we had to hire their services for repairs that were beyond our skill level. Our trust with them came to a screeching halt when the time came that I needed to speak with management. We've had an almost 3-year HVAC issue, where five different technicians kept doing leak searches (and charged us for all of them) with no offers for long-term solutions. After my initial call to hopefully address this, it took about a week for them to send me a text offering the minimum possible resolution without even speaking to me. Conveniently, the call-back number they sent didn't work, either. It just goes to show that their management doesn't have the professionalism or courage to have actual conversations with loyal customers. They all hide behind the veil of their customer experience team who unfortunately don't make the decisions. I've never been so relieved to move on from a company whose leadership doesn't value their members.

He was done and gone in 20 min. Super easy! And he was the cheapest quote I received, with everyone else well over $200. Dont look anywhere else, go with Scott!
