Headed south with the family, towing a boat, for a gulf coast vacation when the 2016 F150 started sputtering and losing power.

Welp, I decided to take my car and trade it in for a Corolla and was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. Calvin Brown was my sales rep and he was attentive, knowledgeable of the inventory/specs/capabilities, and answered questions thoroughly. Even when we challenged him on a few things, for example, the subscription services, he was extremely patient and provided us with the most accurate information. David Washington who is the finance manager carried out the remainder of the deal finalizing the numbers, paperwork, offering additional services, and explained next steps post visit. Purchasing a new vehicle is a big investment and the team made it worthwhile.

Almost $3,000 to replace a clutch and lying about testing the vehicle while leaving parts undone is the kind of service you will recieve from Jim Ellis Toyota Service department. They promise to wash the vehicles after all repairs and mine wasn't the first or second time they had my vehicle. They kept repeating a very apathetic I'm sorry and I agreed they are a bunch of sorry individuals working at Jim Ellis Toyota Service department. Jim Ellis Toyota Service department shine and glitter is only skin deep!

They sent…read moreher a bill for 11k and told her everything "needed to be replaced and new" even though everything else was working fine and had nothing wrong with it, for what they call "safety reasons." Two other shops looked at the vehicle, including another Nissan and said it wasn't necessary and the other pieces had nothing wrong with them- one shop just couldn't do it because it is a big job. They also charge double for tires. I paid their $170 for the diagnostics and had it towed to another shop who found the same cradle they wanted to charge me 1k for (not aftermarket) for $350, paid $1500 for the hands, $100 for the alignment and half the price for teach tire new! Employees of Nissan, do better. Ask yourself, would you spend 11k on a vehicle that's not even worth 11k? They are money hungry. That's why dealerships have a bad reputation for their services- and if your car is no longer under warranty, don't even bother taking it to them. The other Nissan quoted around 3500 for the job, just an fyi. So it's not even Nissan standard persay, it's just they want to rip people off because they saw out of town plates and figured, hey these people are stuck and need to get their car on the road so let's try to squeeze them for every red cent we can. Do yourself a favor and don't take your car here! There are other Nissan dealerships who stand on principles, this is not one of them.

Warning: Make sure you get TWO key fobs before leaving the lot…read more If you buy a used car from this dealership, make absolutely sure they provide you with two key fobs before you drive off the lot. When we purchased our vehicle, we were only given one key fob. We were told they would "look for the spare" and mail it to us once they found it. In hindsight, that clearly meant they didn't actually have a second key. Unfortunately, when we later lost our primary key fob, we had no backup. Replacing a key fob can cost anywhere from $500-$800, so this is not a small issue. I really wish we had negotiated a lower price or required a second key fob at the time of purchase. Hopefully others can learn from our mistake and avoid being stuck in the same situation.

I called after a few days and the finance guy (Mason Clark) said that they pretty much could not take it off, etc. but we could come and sign a form, however, he said it would not reduce the payments (he was lying of course). After a week or so we went in and signed the form and he admitted that this would indeed reduce the payments. We also signed for Smart Pay at time of buying the car, there were charges that he did not inform us of. We called Smart Pay and unenrolled from the program. Mason Clark said that he showed us a video that explained the charges at time of signing, another lie. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THESES PEOPLE.
