Customer Service Complaint - AutoZone Store #725 (GA-42, McDonough, GA)…read more I am writing to express my disappointment with the customer service we received at AutoZone Store #725 on GA-42 in McDonough, Georgia. Before driving to the store, we called to get a price quote for replacement headlights for our **2014 Infiniti QX80**. We spoke with **Gireesha S., Sales Manager**, and specifically asked for the price of the headlights. She repeatedly stated, **three separate times**, that "all headlights range from $20 to $35." To make sure there was no misunderstanding, we asked again and even confirmed that we were asking about a 2014 Infiniti QX80. Each time, she assured us that all headlights fell within that price range. Based on that information, we drove approximately 4.7 miles to the store with the intention of purchasing the headlights. Upon arriving, another associate assisted us. Instead of guessing, he looked up the correct part and informed us that the headlights cost significantly more than what we had been quoted over the phone. We explained that we had just spoken with Gireesha, who repeatedly quoted us a price range of $20-$35. The associate brought Gireesha to the front. Before she approached us, we overheard her telling the associate, "I know, I know, I told them wrong." When she spoke with us, she admitted she had quoted the wrong price and then asked if we had said it was for a BMW. We never mentioned a BMW, and she never asked for the year, make, or model before giving us the incorrect pricing. Instead, she simply repeated that "all headlights were $20-$35". While Gireesha did acknowledge that she made the mistake, she refused to honor the price she had quoted. Her explanation was that the store was busy and that she made an error. However, if the store was too busy to provide accurate information, she should have taken a moment to look up the correct part rather than repeatedly providing incorrect pricing. A simple lookup could have prevented us from making an unnecessary trip. Gireesha then contacted the store's General Manager, **Bailey**, for guidance. Unfortunately, Bailey was dismissive and unwilling to consider the situation, even after being told that Gireesha admitted the mistake. Bailey immediately refused to honor the quoted price and showed little interest in resolving the issue. When I stated that I intended to submit a complaint, her response made it clear that she simply did not care. The only resolution offered was a 10% discount, but that does not address the real issue. This complaint is not about the money. It is about accountability, professionalism, and honoring commitments made to customers. When a manager repeatedly provides incorrect information and admits the mistake, the company should take responsibility instead of expecting the customer to absorb the inconvenience. As a customer, I expect honesty, accountability, and respect. Instead, we experienced poor communication, indifference, and a complete lack of customer care from store management. I hope AutoZone will review this incident, provide additional customer service training for the managers involved, and reinforce the importance of verifying information before quoting prices to customers. Most importantly, I hope AutoZone encourages its managers to take ownership of their mistakes and make reasonable efforts to resolve customer concerns. Thank you for your time and attention. I look forward to your response.

a recent serpentine belt gone wrong! This was a disaster as I was headed to the Sunshine state,…read morehow far am I again? Friendly greetings-everyone standing with jackets! Yessir-that's why my trip ends in Marathon. As for this belt, the bearings had gone bad. Was almost set to purchase a new belt when the "Mobile Mechanic" on the premises happened to go over the noise. Squeaky wheel gets the oil-then I needed Dorothy's Tin Man Quick-Fast & in-a Hurry! the on site repairs were a blessing, only by Magnificent Holy God. was back on the road -will I need belt adjusting after I reach Fla? Reached Fla-squealing turned to screeching-onlookers say it's the belt, however less than a year old- 1st stop walk to nearest Auto store; just in case. $4 belt conditioner-Did you know you're supposed to condition your car's belts as often as an oil change!!!! Interesting A 5 mile walk to AutoZone Dale Mabry Hwy-round trip 10miles-HEY! There's snow back home!!! Florida was 71Degrees as I loaded up on vitamin D-backpacking my belt conditioner-it works, intermittently - Have been researching; "Are you turning on your defroster as soon as you crank up your car? In some cars, the AC compressor turns on when the defroster is on. That squeaking sound would be coming from the compressor pulley because of the load on a frozen belt." Coming from 32 degrees to 70 degrees??? that seems plausible. I always say my car doesn't like the cold+ The Mobile Mechanic slapped on a new idler pulley+ I'm safe and warm for right now. There couldn't have been a bigger blessing on my journey to Florida. I'll take my time scouting out mechanics, idler pulleys, compressor pulleys and have the car looked at by a professional. Meanwhile-this AZ was fantastic They seemed shocked that I paid with cash, dontcha have cash down south??? lol God Bless
