We recently renovated a house we bought to retire in. Demolition and construction caused debris (several tile fragments, a towel, and large amount of grout) to fall into the toilet drain and cement a clot in the drain line. The contractor denied responsibility and blamed it on a sagging main line pipe (drain belly). We were about to pay more than $10k to cut into the foundation to trench and replace the entire main line. Meanwhile, two other plumbing companies came and offered illogical diagnoses. One of the plumbers nearly broke his fiberoptic camera when it snagged on a sharp tile in the pipe. We had another plumber who tried to hydrojet it out and failed. We were about to pay another $4k to hire sewer specialists to access the toilet line from the outside wall closest to the toilet. Finally, we called Legacy Plumbing - who'd always done great work for us previously. We didn't call them at first because we assumed they'd gone "corporate" after being bought out by Ace Hardware. We were so wrong. Legacy plumbing rearranged their schedule to urgently send us plumbers to help us before we wasted thousands on unnecessary and inappropriate repairs. Luke and Kyler diagnosed the problem. They devised a strategy to break off the large clot from the pipe walls into smaller pieces that could be irrigated out of our toilet line and through the mainline. A lesser-skilled plumber would have dislodged a big chunk from the 4 inch toilet pipe and gotten it stuck in the 3 inch mainline. This would have stopped up every single sink/toilet/shower in our house, costing $10-20k to repair. Luke and Kyler had that rare mix of being confident, but humble, courteous and compassionate. I nearly cried when I saw the entire drain line completely cleared. They also checked for potential cracks in the pipe that the sharp tile fragments might have caused. If anyone has any fears about Legacy Plumbing losing its core values as a business..... please don't worry. If we'd called them first, our problem would have been resolved weeks ago, saving us many sleepless nights and time off from work, and incalculable costs. I am very, very grateful. Nikki read more

Johnny carefully looked over the work we needed and offered excellent options on how best to approach the job, which included cost-savings by bundling the toilet tank rebuild instead of just the bolts and gasket, and replacing the shutoff valve (which was way overdue). Thomas and another gentleman were able to help me over the phone, even when I texted in photos they were able to tell me what brand of shower trim to buy! Legacy did an excellent job replacing a portion of our sewer line that had been causing periodic back flow flooding. Mitchell led the teams that did the repairs. The job involved digging a trench and then going through the trench to make the repairs. Big job, well done. They were punctual, good at explaining and executing the job. The trench was effectively closed in the end. There are no signs of disturbance in the yard. Even though there were complications in the job that made it harder than expected and a few days longer than expected, Legacy billed us only for the amount of the estimate. read more

Have always used Legacy Plumbing, despite being pricey. Techs have been friendly and helpful as has been phone staff. However, needed a drain cleared after being diagnosed by an Appliance Company (not washer issue, but could not handle drain clearing). Legacy could not get out for 2 days and charged a separate diagnostic fee PLUS the repair. This was not charged by multiple other companies contacted, so I went elsewhere. Had a leak in T split of a gas line, legacy came out and gave me a best and worse case scenario; they explained their charges upfront and clearly. Very honest could have produced a worse case even if best case, fortunately was not a worse case. A worse case could happen as we know, but with Legacy i think reviews show they don't play those games . Excellent communication, great workmanship, and very professional team. I had my water service line replaced and a sewer spot repair performed. Matthew and his team took time to explain every aspect of the repair, show me all the parts that they would use, and show me photos of their past work. He accommodated my requests to add a second valve for the wall hydrant and also to run a tracer wire along the PEX service line. The excavation team also did a good job, both with the excavation and also with backfill. The final price came out lower than the initial quote, which came out more competitive than another company. One thing I'd like to see in the future is the use of valves carrying an actual NSF/ANSI 61 certification (instead of just manufacturer self-certification of lead free). read more

I worked with Legacy Plumbing to evaluate and repair a gas leak after Atmos shut off the gas. They were excellent to work with from the first call on a Saturday afternoon. I was scheduled quickly and efficiently and Wayne was sent to my house Monday. He needed to order parts and another plumber, Tyler continued on the job throughout the week. There was a series of snafus in dealing with the city and with Atmos (no fault of Legacy) and Tyler stayed right along with me and did everything in his power to keep everything moving to get my gas turned back on.
