Had an errand to run in Campbell Industrial Park and as we were leaving to buy something to eat, we passed by this lunch wagon with a bunch of people either waiting for their food or ready to order so we decided to check it out. We looked over their menu and I also read a few comments on Yelp. We liked their food selections and great reviews so we'll give it a try. Heard people ordering their burgers so decided on their Teri burger that includes a thick homemade burger with teri sauce, cheese, mayo and grilled onions. I also ordered and plain fries (crinkled). The burger was thick and very tasty...yum! I would order this again. My husband ordered their Hamburger Steak plate that includes 2 thick homemade burgers, a lot of grilled onions with brown gravy all over a bed of rice, another scoop of rice and you have a choice of corn, toss salad or potato/mac salad but instead of macaroni, it was spaghetti noodles. Salad will taste the same since it's both pasta but don't see this very often...liked it a lot! This plate was awesome! The person taking the order was very nice and helpful. Their hours of operation and location is posted on their food truck stating from 11 am to 2 pm on Tuesday thru Saturday and closed on Sunday and Monday. She said we should check their Instagram for updated info just in case location for that day is changed. The Campbell location is right outside of Henkels & McCoy West building on Lauwiliwili Street.
Legacy Grindz is a food truck parked on Kapolei Parkway adjacent to Gieger Park. You can get the hours and daily specials on Instagrm. My wife and I heard about this food trunk while having dinner with friends. We shared the Ribeye steak with mushrooms and onions. The steak was tender, and the mushrooms and onions were sauted well. We both enjoyed that dish. Most of what they offer is made to order. Fast and friendly service. We will be back to try their other offerings when in the area
Decided to try this food truck since they were parked at Kapolei Regional Park. First signs a food truck is good....when there are other food trucks at the same area, and there's a line of people at one particular one. In this case, everyone was at Legacy Grindz. Two of us decided to share a plate lunch. For $22, we got the chopped steak plate with the option of fried chicken. The steak was really tender and flavorful with the lots of vegetables. Fried chicken was good, but we thought it would be fried chicken pieces and not wings. There are other things on the menu that I'd like to try, so I'll be back to order.

One of my all time favorites is the deep fried pork chop smothered in gravy! Sooo delicious! Everything is made to order so it's best to text your order in ahead of time! The staff are very friendly. You can normally find them at Geiger Park in Ewa (Tues/Wed/Thurs/Sat) and Kapolei Regional Park on Fridays. Perfect for a grab and go lunch or have a nice picnic at the park. So lucky that I was in Kapolei and spotted this Maroon food truck in front of Kapolei regional park. Check them on IG for latest info. Closed Sun and Monday. Tues, Thurs, Sat they are at Geiger Park 11a-2p and Wed, Friday at Kapolei regional park. 11a-2p The special was Kalbi shortribs for 15$ it was a generous portion and the ribs were delicious and tasty with not that much fat. Potato/mac salad is home made and yummy! I thought that it was definitely worth $15. We also got the Teri Cheeseburger which was delicious and homemade as well. Highly recommend to check them out if you are on the West side!
So many things to choose from this place, and I am never disappointed! They are sometimes parked along Geiger Park so it's a great place to grab lunch before you head home. We ordered the Butter Garlic Shrimp (this was a special) and a Combination plate with spicy ahi and fried chicken. Service was super nice, and friendly. We ordered and waited about 10 minutes to get our food. Both plates came with the entrée served on a bed of rice (plus an extra scoop in one of the compartments), and tossed salad or corn. The butter garlic shrimp was SO BUTTERY. I would consider this truck one of the best places to get garlic shrimp. The shrimps were large, and sauteed with the perfect amount of butter and garlic. I wouldn't consider the shrimp to be over buttery... but the sauce just paired so well with the rice. The salad also added a touch of freshness which paired well. The combination plate with the chicken and spicy ahi was also very good. The chicken was fried to perfection (crunchy skin but nice and soft once you get to the meat). The spicy ahi had a slight sweetness to it, but we sort of enjoyed it since it was a little on the spicier side. Overall, we'll definitely be back again!
Wanted to try this food truck for long time now. On Thursday they were located at Geiger park. Prices are very, very reasonable. Ordered the volcano fries, regular cheeseburger and the furikake garlic chicken. They are no longer serving Mac salad with their plate lunches, you can choose Toss salad or corn. The fries and the burger were super duper good! The burger is homemade local style which is my fave! The fries were super crispy and the furikake and sauce complimented it well. I thought the chicken wings were alright, I wouldn't order it again, I'd def get the hamburger steak that's what the other patrons were ordering, must be bomb since their burgers are so good.

It was very good the meat was soft chopped into strips stir fried with the onions and mushrooms. There is a little hint of teriyaki sauce was a little sweet but I was able to eat it. Comes with rice, toss salad, or Mac salad whatever you want. I would be returning again and try their rib eye steak chopped steak they only add the green peppers. That's the difference. My husband said he'll try the pork chops with tomato and onions. Maybe like the Filipino dish lechon kawali. Don't know. If you are in the area of ewa Beach Geiger Park see them and stop by.
Oh boy!! If you're in the west side of the island, make sure you look for this delicious truck! We had 2 huge plates of yummy food for a really reasonable price! I had a special of the day, stuffed salmon ($20), husband had their chopped ribeye steak & garlic chix combo ($22) Both came w/a toss salad & rice. The steak was stir fried & had red peppers & onions in the mix . The meat was very tender. My salmon was stuffed with/the fake crab in a creamy binding w/a topping of furikake Be sure to check out their instagram page for updates, locations, & menu. Luckily I had texted them when we arrived & found out that they would be closed for a few days for a private event. Whew!! They were gonna be open the day before we head back home! I hope they're still here on our next trip to Ko Olina Not kidding, go check them out!!
I've been wanting to try this lunch truck for a while and I had a day off to finally do that! I ordered the Fried chicken and spicy ahi poke plate, and a furikakae chicken and hamburger steak plate. I waited about 10 minutes, they were making the chicken fresh which I can appreciate. The spicy ahi poke was so good, it had the right amount of spice. The fried chicken was good at first, but then I started realizing it tasted burnt. My son said his chicken had a similar taste. The chicken didn't look burnt, which makes me think that could mean the oil needs to be changed. My son said his hamburger steak was good. The potato Mac salad was different than I've had before, I liked it.
Since I've been in Oahu (July 2021) I have been wanting to try their garlic shrimp. I have tried Giovanni's, Romi's and other food truck. Honestly, I can't get enough of their garlic shrimp. I don't know what it is but man oh man they are so good. You have no idea. Their beef patties are so flavorful, volcano fries with just the right amount of spice and my kids love their kalbi. The price is so reasonable. Anytime I see that their garlic shrimp is the special, I'm there. Ypu have to go check it out. Sooooo good!!!
volcano fries with spicy ahi & ordered the smoked meat with corn as a side . volcano fries are to die for !. smoked meat was tender and not gamey. Gave 4/5 stars only because i thought service could've been better . Showed up and there was no line so it's a normal thing to greet your customers right? Not sure why i had to make my presence known. and also didn't think it was sanitary to be eating in front of the wagon window while a customer is getting their order .
Local kine lunch wagon..Legacy Grindz. Menu has a great variety of reasonably priced items. I ordered the buttery shrimp plate with the potato salad. The shrimp was HUGE almost the size of my fork, 6 pieces. Potato salad was like on "steroid" has noodles inside, was Ono. Legacy Grinds Food Truck has been my go-to for 12 years, and it's truly become part of the family. By chance, we were lucky enough to meet this family behind the truck and become friends over the years. Our sons have grown up together, and this truck's been a constant presence. The portions are generous, the flavors bold, and the quality never falters. I'll always go back for the ribeye steak plate....perfectly cooked every time. Okay wow. This food truck did not disappoint. Literally everything I ate was so delicious and perfect comfort food! I actually tried going here on Wednesday, not knowing they change locations every day. I saw one another review to follow their ig @legacygrindz for daily specials and locations. Luckily I read that or wouldn't have known. I came on a Friday which meant they would be parked by Kapolei Regional Park across Kapolei Public Library. I did not want to phone order because I couldn't make up my mind. Now, if you are pressed for time, then you should try phoning in an order first, but if they don't answer, they're most-likely slammed with orders so you gotta come in person. One good thing to know is that each plate is made to order so that means everything is hot and fresh! Also they're only at each location from 11am to 2pm or until they sell out. (Correct me if that's wrong!) I initially came here for their iconic volcano fries. Crispy crinkle cut fries with Sriracha mayo sauce. Seriously so good! I also got their spicy ahi poke. Let me tell you this poke is SPICY! Don't get me wrong, I really liked it, but some bites were killer! I also don't like spicy foods, but this was good; however I don't think I'd order the spicy ahi again. I also ended up ordering their garlic butter shrimp plate (daily special) and hamburger steak with all rice for dinner. Yes, it was only 11:45 am when I ordered my plates, but it was still good for dinner! It didn't take away the taste at all. I just left my plates untouched until I got home and heated them up in the same container and it was like I just got them! Lol! My fiance liked the hamburger steak which was a plus! The hamburger had a lot of flavor. Okay now the garlic butter shrimp is literally O M G. My favorite shrimp plate ever. I'm not even joking. It was so garlicky and buttery and they used giant shrimp! Um, yes please! The only thing I didn't care for was the potato mac salad. I think next time I'd just get corn or maybe tossed greens with my rice. If you're in Kapolei and craving local style food for lunch, please stop by this food truck! It is sooooo damn good! Can't wait to go back! read more
Found this amazing food truck in Kapolei at the park across from the library. Their volcano fries with spicy ahi was absolutely amazing. The fries were crunchy and warm and the sauce from the poke was a nice addition. The poke was fresh as well. Really great service and awesome quality food! Would totally go visit again! read more

So happy I stumbled upon this truck today! I ordered the Volcano Fries with Spicy Ahi & boyyyy, it did not disappoint! The fries were fresh, hot, and crispy outside. And the spicy ahi was fresh, not too spicy, and the chunks weren't too big. It was just right! This is definitely something I will order again and again. You get a good portion and won't break the bank. If you're looking for some ono poke but don't want the rice, get these!!! 10/10 recommend! And so many ppl wanna try now. read more

Omg the best fries I've had in awhile! Super crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Ugh I wanted more! This truck was parked out near the kapolei park, right by the social security place. I am so making another stop when I go back here. I ordered the Teri burger and the gravy fries. The husband ordered poke and rice. Super delicious and fresh. It was made to order. Look how perfect those fries look through these pictures haha. So good! They also offer catering options. So check that out! read more

Stumbled across this truck around the Ocean Pointe area "farmers market" on Wednesdays. I used to be a religious attendee of Eat the Street when they used to have it monthly in Kaka'ako so I'm a bit spoiled. I had high hopes for this truck but it was kind of a let down. I ordered the butter garlic shrimp - they were sold out of all sides so they only offered all rice...I'm not a big rice eater so I would have liked more variety. We also ordered a teri burger and a cheeseburger. The shrimp plate came with 6 prawns (the whole thing). Once you remove the head a shell, you are left with a taste-less chunk of shrimp. The rice was kind of hard and not very tasty - even when I mixed it with the sauce. The burgers were absolutely awful. I couldn't eat but 2 bites - I couldn't tell if they were made out of soy or beef or what. The texture was off and also tasteless. As with most food trucks, kinda pricey. Yes, they take a long time to cook your food. I don't think I'll be venturing to this joint again. read more

Rib eye chopped steak, pieces of meat were very fatty and tough, also only peppery flavor, pieces of the stem of the cabbage, too hard to eat Volcano fries are great, not too much heat, lots of flavor Hamburger steak is okay, gravy is delicious, but the burger itself is just alright. I'm not sure why you would put shoyu poke in the same plate as hot rice and smoke meat because it'll cook the ahi but that's what happened. So I got cooked "shoyu poke" and tasteless smoke meat. I didn't even try to eat it. Waste my $15. read more

Awesome! Definitely check this truck out if you're in the area. I had the smoke meat and also the garlic chicken wings, both amazing and tasted authentic, like nothing I've quite had on the mainland and a really authentic Island touch. Great people, awesome prices, not the typical tourist trap, you can't go wrong! read more

Amazing food! We loved this family owned truck. We love trying new foods, and when on vacation enjoy eating what the locals eat. I came across this food truck while searching for food in Oahu. We had the chili pepper steak, volcano fries, and the short ribs! And mannnn my mouth is watering just thinking of them. The chili pepper steak is spicy, but not to the point you're not able to enjoy your plate. The meat was tender, seasoned perfectly. The family was welcoming, patient in answering the out of town questions we have and are priced reasonably! I definitely recommend. I would recommend following their IG, or texting the number on the yelp account to confirm where they are the day you want to try it. read more

Legacy Grindz got action! Use to see this lunch wagon all around Kapolei, but didn't have the chance to try them out. Well that changed when I saw them parked near Kapolei HS. I was very surprised of the variety of selections to choose from! I decided on the Ribeye Chopsteak. That Buggah was Winnah's!!!! So much flavor and the Mac Salad complimented the Chopsteak like Peaches and Herb! Another plus was that my plate was made to order, buggah was HOT! Ordered the smoke meat plate with corn and it was delicious. I don't know how anyone could say this was tasteless while reading the reviews. The onions and smoke meat were caramelized with their guava jelly. Would definitely order this again!! I'll be back. They said that they aren't on Yelp so the best way to follow them is on Instagram and Facebook to see where they are at and the time they start. They also have many payment options which is great too!! read more

I first came across this food truck at the Makeke Market at Kapolei High. The food truck we went there for wasn't there, so we decided to try this one out. We weren't that hungry, so we just got gravy fries. Those fries were tasty. When we got home I checked out their IG & everything looked good, I knew I had to go back. Found them at Ewa Mahiko Park. We got there a little after 630pm & a lot of the plate lunches were sold out. Found out they close at 7pm. Luckily, they still had burgers. Ordered a cheeseburger & their volcano fries. That cheeseburger was amazing, definitely home made & not frozen kind. It had a spicy sauce in it which was good. The volcano fries is very similar to Teddy's burgers "Umami Fries" but cheaper! Yum! Been craving them so much that I went there the next 2 weeks. Tried their Kalbi Short ribs & the meat was soo tender. Didn't get pics of that though. Ate that bad boy up quick. Then, the next week I tried their special, Stuffed salmon. That costs $15, but damn was it worth it! Can't wait to try their other items. Rarely do you find a place where every freakin thing you've tried so far was delicious. ***Also, customer service is TOP NOTCH! Not sure if that's the owners daughter, she's pretty young, but she does her job well. She got manners! LOL! Good job to her parents :) read more
