Yaya Special - Garlic Chicken, Bacon, and 2 Eggs
    Marissa H.

I went to Da PerfectBite a couple of days ago and I was not disappointed. The service and food was top notch. The food is made to order and the menu is unique. I was feeling a bit of breakfast/lunch or better known as brunch so I ordered the Yaya's special. Yaya's Special The garlic chicken had a light and sweet batter that was definitely tasty. There was about 8-9 pieces of chicken. The chicken inside was tender and moist. There was also 3 pieces of bacon, 2 eggs, and 2 scoops of rice. The easy over eggs was cooked perfectly. The eggs were soft and there was runny yolk. My pet peeve is when I order over easy eggs and there is no yolk. Not the case here. Their menu has breakfast plates, sandwiches, and animal tater tots. I didn't get to try anything else just yet but will definitely be back for more. The prices are very reasonable for good quality of food.

Had to check out the hype as most of the homies was getting their fix before work. Finally made it today and OHHHH....best bang for your buck! DaPerfectBite breakfast was pretty ono and quick. I see why it was the go-to for the morning people on the rush. Missed out on the specials today as it was sold out, but I'm a repeat offender and will most likely come back again. If you looking for a quick bite and easy on the wallet; this is the place!!

"Yaya's Garlic Chicken" (Garlic Chicken, Sunny Side Up Eggs, Fried Rice, Bacon).

Da Perfect Bite is really "Da Perfect Bite"! Not your usual breakfast - flavorful portions in every plate & Bite. A nice variety of choices for Breakfast Plates (white rice, or sub white rice for Fried Rice for $2.00, 2 Eggs any style, and a choice of breakfast meat), "Da Perfect Quesadilla", "Yaya's Garlic Chicken", "Da Perfect Loco Moco", and other awesome plates. And, all plates come with a drink (water, passion orange juice, etc). And, really awesome customer service! They are currently in the Waipio Gentry area between Wednesday's - Friday's (by Grace Bible Church) from 5:30 AM - 10 AM, and sometimes on Saturdays outside of Costco Waipio, also from 5:30 AM - 10 AM. Trust when I say, "you won't be disappointed". Be sure to follow Da Perfect Bite on Instagram @daperfectbitehnl to stay up-to-date on their schedule, whereabouts, and latest and greatest.

This place is so good. Not only is the food bomb but so is the customer service. My food is always hot and fresh. I always have to get yayas garlic chicken. It's fried to perfection , light and crispy. They also have the best corned beef hash I've tasted here in Hawaii. Definitely gotta check them out!

    Perfect quesadilla and perfect moco

Wanted to try this place since seeing it parked on the road between Costco and Tony group. Ordered a perfect quesadilla and a perfect moco. Their name is accurate! The quesadilla was chock full of goodness - egg, cheese, corned beef hash... and the secret sauce (I think is sriracha and Mayo LOL) is perfect. As for the moco, the corned beef hash adds a twist... couldn't even finish it! But super ono. The family running the truck is super awesome too - so friendly and welcoming! Will definitely be back.

    Best corned beef hash breakfast!

I chose the simple Shinramyun ya not the brightest choice on this humid day but didn't want something too heavy as it just need a bit of fuel to get me going and this spot was definitely on my list. Love that they put the spice level beside each item for a heads up the staff here is nice and as they were more flooded with orders than I realized as they do take phone orders it did take a bit for my order. Since I was dining right there among the bench it didn't need to be separated and loved that it was served on a tray along with a side of kimchee yum the ramyun had a soft cooked egg and some carrots a nice and simple snack which gave me much needed boost though as it was basically no different than a bowl of instant noodle this was crazy overpriced and glad that I didn't get the soft tofu which was $13.50 which I didn't need that type of spice in my life. Thank you!

We happen to stop at Elena's to grab take out and I remember Diamond's Kitchen food truck is right in the same area out in the parking lot. I see the chicken cooking, smelled so good, hot and fresh so happy this is my chance to try. I went with the 2 item plate, ($24.) fried pork and chicken, which comes with rice, corn and sauce. I didn't get the side of potato salad but wanted to try the pickled ung choy $10. for container. I loved how the chicken is cooked, fire roasted huli chicken. My opinion, Wow- so Ono! I loved the fried pork, super tasty, I loved the dipping the pork with vinegar sauce and the chicken, so tender, juicy and loved it. I love the flavor in every bite eating fried pork, chicken, rice and ate it with the ung choy instead of corn. The best huli chicken here at Waipahu side. I am so glad I saw the reel, would have not known about this Gem! Supporting local and will be back here for sure now that I tasted this goodness!

The service was sufficient (low contact - could be off-putting to some.) The food was cooked on the spot, at least, the fried part was. My thing is, I've had different preparations of both the lechon and sisig before. I have to say that the ones I got from home-cooked versions versus commercial versions are different (at least for me it has.) It seems as if the sisig and lechon were initially boiled to cook it thoroughly, then they fry it before they serve it to you to get that crispy feel from the skin. The thing is, the jello-like/slightly slimy texture of the fat leads one to believe that it was boiled first or at least not fried thoroughly. There's nothing wrong with boiling as long as the skin and fat come through as crispy. The skin was crispy, but the fat wasn't. Perhaps, they just need to fry it a little more. Other than that, if it was crispy throughout, I would've given it 5 stars. I'm looking forward to trying the other things on the menu like the beef pares.

It was almost 11am and it looked like all the trucks were closed, but fortunately, Dick's was open. It looked like they were only one of two or three that were. I decided on the lechon with pancit plate this time, since the Fried rice I got the last time was fairly bland. It was a good choice, as the noodles were flavorful, with lots of veggies. Unfortunately, the lechon was super salty this time. It was moist and the skin was veto crispy, but I could only eat a little at a time, due to the saltiness. I'm hoping this was a "one off", and they didn't change their preparation or recipe. I'll have to make sure by stopping by again to grab another order soon.

Ate it with the mang tomas sauce that was provided. The addition of spam pieces was to incorporate the main attraction. The fried rice unfortunately didn't have much flavor. I ended up eating it with vinegar to jazz it up. Bbq pork stick was really good on its own. The vinegar that was provided added even more flavor. It was actually my favorite out of everything; had a good char. Pork lumpia was two long pieces that was equivalent to like 6 regular size pieces. My kids enjoyed it. They're located on the corner and once you see a tent & smell bbq, you're at the right spot. This restaurant gave karinderia vibe to it! Karinderia is basically like those food stalls they have in the Philippines, where they have a bunch of dishes and you sit out to enjoy the food. Home cooked & affordable eats. They have everything from bbq sticks, adobo, lechon, kilawan, lumpia and more. I got the bbq stick & chicken inasal plate. The bbq stick was packed with so much flavor! The chicken inasal was more on the huli huli side & was served with Filipino dipping sauce. They also offer free sabaw with your meal. Ordering was a little complicating, they have a menu outside with food and also more food inside. The bbq items were cooked by order and the inside food had more of the Filipino dishes like (adobo). But next to the cashier, you could also find other fried dishes as well. So a little complicated. You also have the option to sit outside under the tent or inside the restaurant with AC. For this type of place, if you're dining in, you order & eat first then pay. Like any karindera. Overall, this place was VERY good & SUPER AFFORDABLE. If you want to experience a true Filipino experience with great food, this place is for you.
