I take 2 Maine Coons to Legacy Grooming. If you need a Cat Whisperer, he is there. They accommodate all my requests and the cats look beautiful. I'm impressed. Cats aren't always, almost never over thrilled about grooming. I drop them off, don't worry and pick up 2 professionally styled cats.

I've tried several groomers in the McKinney and Allen areas. They do the best job. Easy to get appointments.

Wesson's first time at the groomers and they did such an amazing job! He smells great, his nails were cut and filed perfectly, and his coat is extremely soft. This may have been his first time at Legacy Grooming, but it was the first of many visits to come!

Best groomer ever! I have struggled to find a good groomer in the area for my Pomeranian and they did a fantastic job! Very friendly staff! We will be coming back

    Excellent service!!! 100% recommended

Their customer service is great and they have good hours as well. You do need to book at least a week in advance as they fill up quickly. Excellent service! We will back for sure!

Legacy Grooming is by far the best groomers we've been to. The entire staff treat the dogs with love and they're so good with them. We get our Golden Doodle groomed here and he can be a little nervous at first. They're always so sweet to him. Highly recommend!

Amazing experience with them. It was our first time being our pups here. They were amazing at answering all my questions. I got lucky and got in same day as they had someone cancel.

Legacy Grooming is the BEST place we have ever taken Boomer our Bernese Mountain dog to be groomed! They're professional, caring and loving towards our dog. They take great pride in their work and the facility is extremely clean. Boomer always enjoys his visits!!

I had to carry her everywhere for days due to incident of some sort during grooming. Wish I knew what happened.

Please go to my review under Legacy Pet Grooming on Teel for my full review as I don't have the heart to rewrite it here. I have been a loyal customer for years. Will not be coming back. My tiny dog was injured during grooming, I do not know what happened. Hot clipper blades? Dull clipper blades? Dirty clipper blades? Uncooperative dog? The variables are countless. I called twice to discuss and got no answers, so I have no idea what really happened. They said they would call me back but they did not. We ended up in the emergency vet clinic at 10:00 pm 10/26/24 and it is a good thing we went. My poor dog was clearly in pain, stopped eating, rapid panting and screamed when we tried to examine her v area. Antibiotics and pain meds prescribed. This whole thing is so upsetting and I did not want to write this review but I see no other recourse. Maybe this place is still fine for certain kinds of dogs and cats but fragile 5 pound dogs? Not mine. I will be grooming them myself from now on. I don't even care if they don't look as cute as they do after a real grooming. Watching them suffer is agony.

I can't say enough good things about Legacy Grooming! I have a nervous dog and the staff are so patient with him. My pup always comes home looking and smelling amazing! You can tell they truly care about the animals they work with. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a skilled and compassionate groomer!

Sky and Jack after getting groomed at Legacy Grooming!

Legacy grooming is amazing! From the minute you book to when you pick up your fur babies the experience is enjoyable. They have a wonderful staff and they really take care of my old fur babies. I have had terrible experiences other places because they don't like the time it takes to bath and groom senior dogs who may need breaks. Legacy grooming is so sweet and patient with them and I couldn't be more grateful. They smell, feel, and look perfect! Thank y'all so much. You will definitely be seeing us back again in the future! Love Dylan, Sky, and Jack

    Paw pad shaved too closely

I cannot believe what an all-around bad experience this was! The worst part is that my poor dog had two paw pads on different paws get shaved too closely and one was bleeding. This has NEVER happened before anywhere else. We've also caught him butt scooting a few times so his butt must have gotten shaved too closely as well. The weird part is that when I showed up for my appointment, they said I had no appointment and I must have called one of their different locations. I checked my call log and it was their number I had called! I did appreciate them fitting me in anyway. During my call for an appointment, I also doubled checked whether they would honor the Yelp 15% first time coupon and they said yes, but of course on paying, they said they haven't honored the coupon for years and my call must have been to one of their other locations anyway. If that's the case, take it off your yelp McKinney account!!

These are the best groomers in the county, hands down. Our pups trust no one else but these guys. They make the entire process comfortable and treat our pets with so much love and care. I recommend them to anyone! 10/10! Great prices and even better service.

Always do an excellent job with my two big labradoodles! They are fast, thorough and never give me a hard time about matting, etc.

**WARNING!!** Before You Trust The Mutt Puddle With Your Dog -- Read This First!!!…read more As a new customer, I recieved that red carpet treatment that makes you think you've finally found "the place." The lesson I learned this time is that the true character of a business isn't revealed when everything goes right. It's revealed when something goes wrong. My situation started with a grooming appointment. The Korean cut I requested wasn't what I received. However, that was not my biggest concern. A really bad grooming job grows back, and I could have easily laughed that off and moved on. What I couldn't overlook was that my tiny 5lb Maltese had a puncture wound (the size of a pencil tip eraser) under her chin and a belly covered in abrasions (guessing from hot clippers). When I got home and discovered the injuries, I emailed TMP immediately. I expected: concern for her well-being and a sincere effort to make things right. Instead, I got a lengthy email about "miscommunication" regarding the grooming. I got an apology. What I didn't get was the one thing I was looking for: genuine human concern for my injured dog. Accidents happen. A mistake and owning it does not automatically lose a customer. The solution was never complicated. A simple acknowledgment (regardless of how it happened). My tiny dog came home hurt and that mattered. A refund as a gesture of respect. Before writing this review, I posted this scenario online in a small dog group. I asked a few simple questions: Would you be upset by these injuries? Is "sorry for the miscommunication" enough? Should a refund be offered? Would you return? The majority of the people who responded to the survey are dog lovers, breeders, rescue shelter owners, show dog handlers, vets and professional groomers who unanimously agreed that they would be upset and that they would not return. Several professionals commented that while accidents can happen, transparency and accountability matter. One comment stood out above all the others: "When I read the salon's response, I don't see a groomer saying, 'I'm concerned about Tina.' I see a business saying, 'You can't prove this was us.'" That perfectly captured what I had been struggling to put into words for this review. David Vargas from TMP responded to that online post. Instead of empathy, there were disclaimers. Instead of a heartfelt attempt to make things right, there was a carefully crafted argument about why I shouldn't feel the way I do. He accused me of painting the business in a bad light. No. I simply described what happened and how it was handled. When your instinct is to defend your reputation instead of showing concern for an injured animal, the picture pretty much paints itself. This experience was extremely upsetting for my family, traumatic for our Tina, and I worry about her demeanor when I take her to a new groomer. She's such a tiny baby and to minimalize our situation has been heartbreaking. Our pets rely entirely on us to protect them and on the professionals caring for them to uphold the trust placed in their hands. For all animal lovers, that trust is sacred. One of the most concerning things I discovered after this experience was The Mutt Puddle's liability policy. Their policy (search for it online) states; that pet owners assume all responsibility when leaving their pets in the salon's care and that The Mutt Puddle and its staff will not be held responsible for injuries, deaths, medical bills, clipper burns, cuts, stress-related issues, or nearly any other problem that may arise during grooming. Reading this after my little girl was injured helped me understand why David Vargas response was defensive .. rather than showing (on a case by case basis) concern for my dog and respect for me as a valuable client. I understand that policies exist BUT they should protect everyone involved, not one sided AND they should never replace compassion, responsibility, and concern for an animal's well-being. New and existing customers should read their policies carefully and decide for themselves whether that reflects the kind of care they want for their pets. We've lost complete trust in The Mutt Puddle and will not go back. They have taught me the difference between customer service and reputation control. Good luck with that business model.
