Took my art deco clock to a clock place in San Luis to get a new battery. Called several weeks later, they said it needed a new movement, never called again, were rude when I called months later, and never fixed the clock. Then took it to Legacy Jewelers. They opened it, checked it out, said it was working, and charged me $10 for a new battery. Both Cory and Marina are caring, helpful and honest. I think those two bad reviews are for another jeweler. read more

I'm a bit of a watch and over the years my gold standard was Paul Hopkins in Burbank, CA. That was some time ago and very few people knew watches as did Paul. Well, Corey knows watches, clocks and oddball time pieces. He went through one of my watches and found an issue but felt like the maker, Bulova, would be able to get the parts and deal with the specific design and assembly defect and he was spot on. On his advice, I shipped it to Bulova (now Citizen) who replaced the movement under warranty. Both Corey and Marina are wonderful to work with. I trust very few people in this biz. Worked on them myself for many years but not enough time to get into a project. The two watch repair people I really like are Corey here in Los Osos and Nick in Solvang. Legacy is attractive and they have some interesting and some interesting time pieces and other items. Super nice people and Corey is up front about specifics. Really appreciate that. read more

I took my grandfathers old mantel clock in as it quit working. Cory had it for several months. He kept saying he was trying to find the old parts on the internet and that he would call me with in a few weeks, over a month would pass and I would stop in and he would still say the same thing. He should call his customers when he says he's going to. I shouldn't have to keep stopping in after he doesn't call for weeks. Ultimately, the clock was not fixed as he could not locate the part. I had a really worn out wedding ring that was looking like at best we could fix it so I could only wear it for special occasions. My husband and I were both way more sad than we thought we'd be. After talking it over we decided to get it repaired. I took it up and Cory had come up with another plan...and it is better than brand new! Marina built up the gold bars holding in lots of tiny diamonds so the geometry of the ring is intact! They worked so hard and quickly because they knew we were sad!
