The husband-and-wife team behind Grist has created one of the most inventive pasta menus you'll find anywhere. It's casual--you order at the counter--but don't mistake that for ordinary dining. We started with the rosemary Parmesan focaccia and the cow's milk burrata. Both were excellent. The focaccia was simple, fresh, and perfectly executed, while the burrata was an absolute standout. For our entrées, we had the Mafalda al Agnello, Raviolo al'Uovo, Spring Pea Agnolotti, and Tonnarelli di Mare. Every pasta was handmade and beautifully prepared. The Mafalda stole the show, with wide, ruffled ribbons coated in an incredible braised lamb sauce. The Raviolo al'Uovo was unlike anything I've had before--a single oversized raviolo with remarkable flavor and a presentation that was as memorable as it was delicious. Grist is proof that great dining doesn't require white tablecloths. It simply requires talented people making exceptional food. We couldn't recommend it more.

So we just walked in, and the host was kind enough to let us sit at the little bar area near the window. I like their ordering system. You have many options --- go up to the cash register and order there, order from the server who comes by your table (or in our case, bar), or use your phone by scanning the QR code. And if you use your phone, each person in your party can do it themselves on their own phone. Regardless, it all gets added to the same order for the same table. Pretty slick. At the end, when it comes time to pay, the app lets you split the check however you want, and you can even see the name of the person that ordered each item. The food was incredible. It's not cheap, and the portions are a little smaller than some might expect at an Italian restaurant. But for us, it was filling enough. I personally had the raviolo, which was delicious. Little did I know that in Italian, "raviolo" is singular while "ravioli" is plural. So I got one giant raviolo on my plate (see picture). I didn't care much for the runny egg yolk on top, but it was as advertised on the menu. All the other food orders were amazing, especially the desserts. I'd definitely come back once my food budget resets.

I have been three times. Came once for the opening, I had the burger, my fiancé had a steak dish and we shared the hummus. The burger was good, but frites were dry and my meal was so greasy. My fiancé didn't love the steak. The hummus was good but served with spiced tortilla chips like Doritos. Would have been much better with pita bread or more veggies. The next time I came with a group of girl friends. We shared several small plates, including the corndog shrimp and the pimento cheese. I also got the Chopped salad for my main. Appetizers were very good, salad was just meh. Third time we came for an early dinner. I got the BBQ Bacon Ranch Salad and fiancé got the burger. Salad was not very good, just an odd mix of flavors. Fiancé said burger was good. They changed the fries but he wasn't impressed with these either. The drinks and wine list are excellent. Would love it if the bar stayed open later Thurs- Saturday and offered more small plates and appetizers. I really hope they figure out the menu and execution because it could be such a great restaurant.

I avoid fast food at all costs but sometimes you just want something on your way somewhere and you don't want to get out of your car. Coffee drive-thru is so obvious. Salad drive-thru is like next level! But how are the salads? The harvest salad (roasted sweet potatoes, pumpkin seeds, cranberries and goat cheese with apple vinaigrette, add chicken) was delicious. Next time I will order a custom though because the combination of toppings was a little too sweet for me. But they mean it when they say gourmet salads. They have a huge variety of really excellent salad toppings and there wasn't a leaf of iceberg in the greens mix. The portion was also really great for $8. The same salad costs me $15 at Dewey's. But salad isn't all they do. My kid ordered a hot steak breakfast bowl (at 3 in the afternoon) and said it was delicious. We also tried strawberry and peach smoothies which were awesome. I admit to going BACK the same day for a dirty chai iced latte, because obviously I can't write a review of a coffee place without getting coffee. It was good. I need to test out more before I can give a definitive about the coffee. But I fully plan to do that, while I perfect my salad combination! I notice you can order online and drive thru the other side of the building to pick-up. Also, they deliver through DoorDash. So there's really no excuse not to eat your vegetables (and get caffeinated)!

Took about 5 mins for someone to come to our table upon seating. She brought waters and we asked for a soda. The soda did not come for another 20 minutes (after we asked/reminded). Waitress also mentioned she was bringing bread to the table, which took another 10 minutes. Portion sizes are drastically smaller than they used to be. Peasant salad was extremely small and had huge pieces of the butt of the lettuce head. The pasta pictured is $22, and the dish was the size of my hand - also only had 3 strips of chicken breast. We alerted the waitress that 2 pepper shakers we tried to use seemed to be out of pepper, but we weren't offered a different shaker. We saw others being offered fresh cracked pepper for their salads, but we were not offered that option. Ambience was fine, but we were seated in a corner table out on the "covered patio" area of the restaurant, and we did not get much attention. Overall, disappointing experience from a service and quality/portion perspective.

At 6:30 am, the place was already a little busy but a two-top table was a comfortable set up with an outlet adjacent. I ordered a cortado from the barista and she brought it over to my seat. Perfection. Served in the proper short glass and with a small glass of sparkling water, this is precisely how it's supposed to be. Folks, if you're sick of drinking a coffee-flavored milkshake, switch to a cortado. It's only 2 ounces of steamed (not foamed) milk with two shots of espresso. You will actually taste the coffee because it won't be swamped in a 14 ounce cup of milk! Warehouse is a comfortable space with nice tables for smaller and larger parties plus a nice space outside.
