    Cutie Tart Cherry ($7) 10-22-2024
    Alana M.

Amazing pies are made here! The street parking around here can be challenging, but don't let that deter you from coming! I ended up parking around the corner on a side street. There is a restroom available for customers. It is located in a hallway just outside of Legacy Pie Co. This shop is a part of the Colorado Cherry Company family. We first went to the Colorado Cherry Company in Loveland, Co. We got a great taste of the Cherry Pie! That slice was memorable. So, the next time I was back in the Denver area, I knew I wanted to get another Cherry Pie but didn't want to drive to Loveland. I opted to drive to Northwest Denver. I bought a Cutie Tart Cherry, a Cherry Hand Pie, & a Mini Apple Bourbon Caramel Pie the night before I flew back home to Los Angeles. I took the Cherry Pies with me and shared them with my husband the next afternoon. I was surprised that we both preferred the Hand Pie! I was certain the Cutie Pie would be better. I would definitely get the Hand Pie again next time... AND try whatever other variety they have available! I didn't get to try the Mini Apple Bourbon Caramel Pie ($11). I bought it for my daughter (in-law) and son. They enjoyed it. I'm sure it was scrumptious! They have Take & Bake pies, too! I'd rather buy them ready to eat and leave the baking to them! If you want a warm pie, get yourself and Take & Bake to take home! I want to return again and try some of their savory Mini Pot Pies & Lunch Hand Pies!

Legacy pies is a nice stop for a nice day strolling around Tennyson. Staff is great and they have a huge selection. One disclaimer for this review is that I'm not a huge pie guy but do enjoy an occasional savory pie. Their chicken pot pie hit the spot! The crust is flaky and buttery and was not soggy when broken into. The gravy and filling is very savory with shredded chicken pieces. The pie was piping hot and fresh! Though I won't go out of my way to get these pies (since I live in the opposite direction), I would definitely make this a stop if I'm in the area Curry pie was the perfect size if you're in between meals. The curry filling was hot and savory, tho I can say some areas of the filling was lacking the curry spice. The veggies were cooked to perfection and fell apart well. The establishment is simple and filled with buttery aroma. The staff gets 5 stars for their work ethic and kindness. You can't go wrong with legacy pies if you can't decide what to eat. They have an expansive selection of pies, sweet and savory to meet everyone's needs.

My family loves Legacy Pie, Co! Our favorite is the cherry hand pies, but the key lime, apple, chicken pot pie, and several others are all delicious. We think Legacy makes the best pies in Denver! We have given Legacy pies to friends who are under the weather and to new neighbors. We also celebrate my mother-in-law on her birthday which is "Apple Pie for Breakfast Day"! The holidays always include Legacy Pies too! We love all the different sizes available.

Legacy Pie!!!!! What have you done to me ?!!! Obsessed with this place I dream about the banana pie lol Place should be called Legendary Pie... There was a line out the door but the wait was no longer than 10 mins ... super worth it !!! Staff were sooooo nice and made the experience that much better . Love the store line on the wall, made the process feel a lot more personal. The feel of the place felt very joyous You can either take it to go or you can enjoy it there at the location !! Looked like they had sweet and savory pies ... Will be back again and again

I can't seem to get enough of this hand pie shop lately. It was only a few weeks ago when I made a quick stop at this place early in the morning to grab a few savory ones. Today's on a chilly Saturday afternoon, this Sunnyside neighborhood was busy with so many people doing their out and about, street parking was almost impossible. Once I managed to find a spot to park my car several blocks away, I rushed to this place to get me a few of those savory ones to satisfy my mid afternoon hunger. This shop is always clean and adorable. Service is also always good and friendly. The lady behind the counter was very patient with me while I was being indecisive (lol!!) What I got me today were Pork one and the veggie curry one. Like I have tasted several different savory ones in the past the pies were nice and flaky. Dense and yet never oily. What's in the center of each pie was so flavorful. They just simply make the bestest hand pies in town. The remedy to my hunger was instant. These impeccably made hand pies never seem to disappoint me in any way. And they will stay fresh overnight so I'm so looking forward to eating them again tomorrow morning.

It's been a year since I did a review here. It continues to be an amazing place for pie! Such a sweet spot with sweet people ! Ash is so sweet and helped us out today. I used some coupon deals we had and she was so patient and kind to both Ryan and I ! We are at home enjoying our caramel apple pie and tart cherry pie and I even ran back inside before we left to buy some vanilla ice cream to go with it. It's a cute spot with great deals pies and treats both sweet and savory. There's even spots to sit in and eat or take home like we did. It's very cozy and clean and well taken care of - lots of TLC! We continue to highly recommend Legacy Pie Co on Tennyson Street!

My new favorite place! Such a cute little pie shop. I got the mixed berry, caramel apple crumble, and the French silk. My favorite is the mixed berry, it's sweet and tart and has juicy strawberries and is just incredibly delicious. The French silk is also incredible. I am excited to return so I can try their savory hand pies :)

So good! I'm not typically a huge pie person, but Legacy Pie Co might just change that! We've tried the key lime, mixed berry, and French silk so far. All delicious! The key lime was probably my favorite, followed by mixed berry. Having the smaller sized options is a great way to try different flavors. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back and can't wait to try some of the other flavors.

If you're looking for the best pies you've ever had in your life, they're here at Legacy Pie Co. You may think this is a dramatic statement, but my husband and I love this place. We visited the area for the whole month in January and bought 13 items over the course of that time. We couldn't get enough! Even took a pie on the road-trip with us to go back home. Fast forward to a couple months later and a big move to the state, we had to revisit our favorite pie spot! The staff members are always so warm, welcoming and friendly and the place is impeccably clean. They bake their pies fresh in the back so you know once you step in the door, the aroma is heavenly. There are even frozen pies in the fridge off to the side so you can take and bake them yourself at home for later! The selection is amazing and you can't go wrong with any of the daily and seasonal flavors. The crust is dangerously good - so flakey and buttery! We were able to get our hands on a Strawberry Rhubarb yesterday when we stopped by and I honestly don't have the words to continue talking about how these are the best pies ever. Great to share, but you may not want to.

I wish I could give LPC a million stars. Their savory pies are perfect for keeping in the freezer and heating up for when you need an easy meal. I recently tried their thanksgiving special and it was absolutely delish.

I was finally able to stop by this place!! Meeting a colleague and his wife near here to drop off gifts for them, gave me a reason to visit this strip. The shop is really cute and clean. The lady behind the counter was really nice too when I told her it's my first time in. She gave me a brief overview of the pies. I was salivating look at all the delicious pies in the cases. They have a lot of flavors from sweet to savory. They have different sizes of pies from regular sized to mini sized to hand pies. I wished I had all the money in the world to buy each and every one that day. Lol. I ended up buying 1 cutie key lime pie, 1 apple hand pie, and 1 savory green chile pie. Dang it! It was so darn scrumptious. The sweet pies were not overly sweet. Just perfect. The savory pie was absolutely delicious. The pies were full of fillings and you can actually taste what's in it. Even the small one too. The best part I love about the pies is the pie crust. I love it that when I bite into the crust and breading of the pie, the light crunch, flakiness, and softness of it takes me to heaven. Mmmm, I can still taste it as Im writing this. Lol. I am definitely a fan of this fabulous place!!! This place is Pie Heaven. You gotta at least have one tiny pie before you die. Life's too good to miss out on pie. I'll definitely be coming back!

If you are looking for a place to get your pie fix, Legacy Pie is it! Run to get their Wild Maine Blueberry Pie. No one ever uses Maine blueberries, and they are so much better in a pie than regular ones. We have done the take and bake twice and they turned out delicious, and are so easy to bake. We tried cherry last time and that was great too. You can do mini pies as well, but if you want a few days worth of dessert, go for the larger size. Staff is always friendly as well, and very accommodating. Looking forward to the next visit!

I had it saved but couldn't quite remember why...until we turned the corner and saw a line out the door around noon on a Sunday. Normally that might be a dealbreaker, but once we saw the food coming out, we were all in, it looked way too good to pass up. The menu is stacked: everything from sweet pastries to savory sandwiches and even pizzas on what looked like fresh, fluffy focaccia. I went with the prosciutto sandwich (prosciutto, cheese, pesto on focaccia), and it was incredible--simple, fresh, and packed with flavor. My girlfriend had the ham sandwich on a baguette, which was just as good. We were also tempted by the turkey and some seasonal options, so we'll definitely be back to try more. We couldn't leave without grabbing a couple pastries. The almond croissant was a hit (my girlfriend saved it for the next morning and loved it), and the standout for me was the cinnamon white chocolate cookie--kind of like a snickerdoodle but with white chocolate chips. Easily a top tier cookie. Between the quality, variety, and how clearly everything is made with care, this place jumped straight to the top of my list. Worth the wait, worth the hype, and absolutely worth a return trip.

I sure was one of them today as when I stepped in it was past 2pm. What I had in mind was (of course) all gone which forced me to go some alternative option. The vanilla custard bun was simply the right size for me (I not too long ago had just had my late breakfast so I was still quite full from it.) Perfectly brown on some of the custard on top. This Portuguese style dessert is a staple at any bakery or dessert shop. It's moist and yet the flaky out layers made the perfect sound as I bit into it. As of this writing, I haven't had the baguette yet but I can only imagine how delicious it would be (as the kind lady upfront was telling other customer that.) For the meals: - hash (corned beef is perfectly cooked and it's a nice sized portion with a runny poached egg on top and hollandaise over a crispy/well-seasoned Rösti - very good but a little on the heavy side for me) - benny (loved the flavors of this one and that duck confit was so flavorful and tender. Also, loved the bright, refreshing salad it comes with) - veggie omelet (I didn't try this one, but my brother in law said it was a great, traditional omelet - nice and cheesy) - stuffed French toast (WOWWWW - no notes. It was sublime. The passionfruit stuffing was to die for and it comes with a candied honeycomb. Not something I normally order, but we split it for the table and everyone wanted another one it was so good!) The sourdough baguette is perfect and has little flakes of sea salt on the crust. Crunchy on the outside and soft and spongey on the inside. All of the pastries are delicious and I've got my eye on so many more things for the next visit. 10/10 experience.

As it gets later into the day and through the weekends, I know it gets very busy, but there is plenty of random seating throughout the hall and even some outdoor spots if you prefer. The instructor, Gage, really knows his stuff and he was great at explaining the why behind each step, not just the how. I walked away with genuinely useful skills like freezing the dough and shaping technique. It's about $148 a person. The nice touches help. You get a pastry before and a cookie at lunch, plus a detailed recipe packet (dough variations, freezing, mixer methods, the works). And Rebel Bread is a working bakery, so it's a fun space to be in. My other note: the class runs long, and I wish it had been a bit shorter and tighter. For someone who's never made pizza before, I think it'd be worth it. For us, already set up with our own oven, it was a nice experience but not essential.
