these guys have been at my door almost weekly for three months even to the point they stopped by two days in a row this week. They seem to not take a "no" and will not stop trying to sell me on their service. My roof is 3 years old. When I told the sales man that he proceeded to point out small issues with my siding. I told him I had caused a few small dents in the winter (icicles). He said he could work with the insurance company to get approved for a new install. He says why not, insurance is a "pooled" entity and I should basically join the crowed (my words). All in all, I just beg they stopped coming to my door. I don't need a roof or siding. read more

On March 24th 2025 a representative wearing a hat and with full facial hair blatantly disregarded my no solicitation sign. I consider this harassment because he did not show a peddler's/solicitor's license, so he is illegally trying to solicit business. If a homeowner posts a no solicitation sign, DO NOT SOLICIT!!!!!! He even acknowledged he saw the sign, but proceeded to bother me anyways! read more

Not only do they not take no for an answer when they come to your house saying "we are doing a job down the street" they simply refuse to leave when you asked them to leave your property. Now that this salesman kid wants to be a smart ass with me, I simply asked him for his solicitation permit in the city of Palos Heights. He proceeded to tell me he's got one in his car. I asked him to present it to me and he said it's in the system And they will have it issued shortly. It's about time these people stop preying on those that don't realize an insurance claim with a zero payout is still a claim against your record and it's going to spike your rates. After I explained this to him, he goes on to tell me that Insurance rates go up based on the ZIP Code. I just looked at him and asked him to kindly leave my property and get his car and don't knock on any more doors in Palos Heights. read more

Legacy Restoration took advantage of a vulnerable situation involving tornado damage to our home. It took almost 5 months of being strung along and many phone calls to receive any updates only to be told they can't help us with our repairs!! Never once have they offered an update on the dealings with insurance or kept us in the loop of negotiations. In the end Legacy Restoration agreed to replace the damages they caused in the process of providing proof to the insurance company which failed in a good result!! Very disappointed in the customer service, communications, and lack of willingness to support the need of their customer!! Legacy did a fantastic job on my roof. They worked seamlessly with my insurance company, to minimize my out of pocket and were my advocates, throughout the process. The consultation was informative and professional, the products were premium quality and installed well (I sold roofs, for quite a while, so I knew exactly what to look for) the roof was completed quickly, efficiently, and neatly, as they removed all work related debris and the finished product was so beautiful, I had neighbors outside looking at my roof and asking questions about it. I contracted with Legacy in May of 2019 right after the intense Hail Storm hit Plainfield & Naperville. Their staff (along with other companies) hit the streets immediately after the storm subsided going door to door.... I have up to now avoided all comments regarding the work they did, but since my less than 1 year old (new roof) is now leaking - I'll take a minute to just that. In the end Legacy had eyes on one thing only - my home owners insurance claim payout. Legacy was to handle the roof, gutters, windows and siding repair (all damaged due to hail) they did work on the roof and gutters - tore out my attic fan without warning (did not replace it) and after the gutters were installed, we never heard from them about any of the remaining work. And as i mentioned i now have a leak in my family room, house is 25 years old never had a leak of any kind before. Even though there may be some kind of warranty in place, since its been less than a year, I am calling a different company to do the repairs. read more

We called this company because we have some shingles missing from a recent windy storm. The company scheduled us an appointment with Bob to give us an estimate. Bob came over and when he learned we are paying outright, he said the company only works with claims and left. We called the company immediately and they were confused because that is not the case. We got a call back explaining that Bob said it must have been a misunderstanding because he said he won't work because of the snow. After reviewing my security footage (because my father met the roofer there since my husband and I are working) I reviewed the conversation and he at no point explained that he can't work because of the snow (which actually was almost melted away and we were only looking for an estimate anyway). He outright said he will not work on it because there is no insurance claim. I called the company and he said the reason Bob wouldn't be able to work on it is because they don't do small patchwork, so that was a miscommunication with the call center for scheduling that appointment when my husband said we needed an estimate to repair where the shingles blew off. Way too much "he said she said" and "miscommunications" with this company. Very poor business and a waste of everyone's time. Go to a company with more reviews and better star ratings. read more
