I love Chinese restaurants, and like to try new things all the time. We came with a group of nine and the staff was very accommodating. We have been coming for several years now and are always happy with our dining experiences. They are a very hardworking family and we appreciate having such a good place to come and enjoy a delightful dinner. Many items ordered and shared. We were pleased to order orange beef, bbq pork, king pao, ginger scallion lo mein, orange chicken beef, beef and broccoli, and several appetizers, and egg drop soup. Food was hot, delicious with great flavors. You ask for more spicy if you like it that way or whatever you like. Either way there are daily specials also and family dinners too. We have been going there since it was Tangs. Has anyone noticed that the food has gone down in quality and taste. Wow this place blew me away. Was not expecting this place to be so good. I was expecting a fast food stand in line and point place. Definitely not. It's a nice sit down restaurant. The menu was quite extensive and the all day specials, 20 of them to be exact for $7.95 cannot be beat. Comes with more than enough entrée two big scoops of rice (white rice or fried rice)an egg role and either hot tea or iced tea. Did I mention it was only $7.95? The new take out only was a great experience for the six of us. All patrons were lined in order wearing masks and no touch billing. Most relevant the food was exceptional during these times and well appreciated. We ordered from beef, shrimp, scallops, to vegetarian and we all had at least two complete meals for each person. There is going to be some growing pains at this place. The positives: it's clean, staff is friendly and the food was fresh. The negatives: we were served the wrong food, didn't point it out because what I was given wasn't bad. Most disappointing was the taste of the soda. It has a musty taste, because either the ice maker or water filter is dirty. As they have just reopened, we will try at least one more time before making a final decision. Used to frequent this business when it was called Tangs. We were hoping this was just a name change. Quite disappointed in the food. Ordered crab Rangoon's which ended up being on the soggy side. The sweet and sour sauce isn't Home made and not hot. In fact it had a terrible musty taste to it. The hard fried Chinese noodles on the tables were not fresh either. The War Wonton soup was really good, but needed to be hotter. The main dishes we ordered were asparagus chicken, which was tasty but too salty. The pepper beef was also good as well. Wait staff is friendly and it was a busy Friday night for them. I'm not in to giving poor reviews. I hope the food does improve. It just doesn't come close to rating 5 stars at all. 3 is as good as it gets. read more

Great location nice digs, food was average almond chicken was heavy on salt and had to ask for the almonds after I noticed they were missing as was the ice tea that is include for $7.95 in their combo specials. Water with lemon none added, wine list no license yet. I am chalking it up to new business jitters. We just moved to Beaumont and my wife and I were looking for a Chinese restaurant near us and found this place on Yelp. We ordered several dishes: chicken fried rice, chicken and vegetables on crispy noodles, orange chicken. Everything was so delicious. We loved the light batter on the orange chicken, the fried rice was fluffy and even had bean sprouts, and the noodle dish had a wonderful sauce. The service was attentive, good parking and the restaurant is new and so clean. Definitely recommend coming here and this will be our new go to for Chinese food. read more

I'm sorry to say this is the last time I will go to this restaurant... My main complaints are they serve too much bok choy too many bean sprouts and they don't have celery... I first ordered my chicken vegetable dish with no bok choy add cabbage... I got big chunks of a The bok choy replacing celery, I guess,,, I don't know? Which gave it a different flavor, so they reluctantly returned it to me with some fresh fried rice, which was very nice, but then they added way too many more bean sprouts to my dish to fill it up! Bean sprouts are almost as bad as bok choy and then I didn't see very much chicken, so I'm sorry to say, but I will not be back to this restaurant again... I don't believe this is authentic Chinese cuisine...the menu was questionable.... Anywho, the Egg Foo had a super thick coating it was very dense, and a strange flavor that I couldn't decipher...SMH! After my favorite Chinese food folded (Toro Bowl I miss you!) I've been trying to find something as good in my area. This one kept getting very high reviews on Yelp so yesterday I gave it a try. I love cream cheese wontons and tempura shrimp so tried both as well as getting some chicken fried rice and Mongolian beef to go. The wontons (Crab Rangoon on the menu but the same idea) must have been pre frozen or something because they were soggy and greasy and luke warm. The so called, fried shrimp would have been better named fried dough! Dough was thicker than the shrimp, which itself was likely pre frozen. Both the mongolian beef and chicken fried rice were edible but way too sweet. Maybe their other dishes are better but based on my experience I would jot recommend this place. read more

So we saw all the wonderful reviews and thought we would try this place. It was nice and clean inside but the wait staff were not warm or friendly at all. They don't seem to like to work there. We ordered the sweet and sour pork and the Mongolian beef. My daughter found quite a bit of fat in the pork and ended up spitting out a few bites. The Mongolian beef was very tender to the point that it tasted like you were chewing on your tongue. I found it to be over seasoned and 50% onion. Crab Rangoon was good, but smaller than what I usually see. We also didn't like that they didn't offer noodles with their dishes (rice only). To end our trip, my daughters fortune cookie package had 2 in it but it was slightly open on one end and had dark stuff inside it so we threw it away. For $33 it is the priciest lunch we have had in a long time and not worth it read more

My dad wanted to find a nice place to eat that was close by. He looked this place up and we decided to go on a whim. For our appetizers, we ordered the dumplings both fried and steamed and we were all pleased. I usually always order dumplings because I personally believe you can't really go wrong unless they are undercooked or cold or something and these were decent, hot and came out quickly. The rest of the food came out shortly thereafter starting with the wings. They were piping hot but very under-seasoned. The lo-mein was pretty good but it always usually is at Chinese food restaurants so not surprising. The shrimp chop suey was a bit heavy for my liking but I think that's just a preference I have for Thai chop suey over Chinese chop suey so I am a bit biased. By far the standout of the entire menu was the fish in black bean sauce. We all agreed that was absolutely delicious, perfect ratio of sauce to meat. This is the only dish I would have again. Unfortunately the most disappointing entree of the night was the egg fo yung. Gravy was extremely lacking in any type of flavor. Not good. read more
