Of all the contractors that I reached out to he was the best at taking my calls or getting back to me. He answered all my questions, which were many. My wife and I also had great communication with his father, Mario, whom we felt very comfortable with. We found him to be very personable. This is a family business. They're great people, trustworthy! They strive to meet their customer's expectations. The countertop installation turned out great and the work was completed on time. The experience was very positive from the beginning to the end. My wife and I welcomed this positive outcome since other aspects of our kitchen remodeling project (different contractor) did not go as smoothly. I created a project through the Yelp app and Legend Stone answered my project quote request quickly and was very communicative throughout the whole process. I had speckled granite in our powder room which looked dated and I wanted it replaced with quartz to match our kitchen. On the last day you were here did you or did you not stand over me while I was being forced to write the check for $865? You were close enough to correct the payee on the check, so I would say you stood over my shoulder. You stood right over me with your dad right behind you, so I would say that was very threatening. I sent a text to you telling you the check was no good and I got numerous texts back from Alex begging me to write another check and you would deduct $25 of this and that. I worked in banking for 30 years and I know how to process a check that is mutilated in some way. Did you go to your bank Chase and have someone change the check number from #5035 to #5835 to clear my account at Wells Fargo? Did you tell me your license was listed under someone else's name? We hired Legend Stone to install a two base and two wall cabinets, in addition to a quartz countertop, in our dining room as a coffee bar, including installation of a new outlet. Legend Stone definitely feels like a small family-run business, which I wholly support. Mario (father), Sebastian/Alex (sons), and Brian (helper) were part of the workforce. A woman named Marlyn (office manager-type) provided the estimate via email and likely communicated the most via text. To be honest, our initial interactions were weird and awkward. Messages started over Yelp, which then transferred to messaging via text. It was difficult to tell who I was communicating with at times. Some times it may have been Alex, most times it was likely Marlyn. Regardless, whoever answered was always responsive and very communicative. Communication even occured after-hours, which I appreciated though it wasn't necessary. I provided Marlyn/Alex the scope of work over text and sent a few pictures with measurements. They invited us to their showroom in Orange to look at some stone samples and cabinetry. My wife and I went and were a little underwhelmed as their showroom was incomplete and under construction at the time. We met Sebastian there, who was extremely helpful, and he explained to us some options and sent us to their stone vendor to pick out the quartz we wanted. He explained they just opened up the showroom a few months ago and were working on all the remodel work themselves. Hopefully their showroom space is completed soon because it'll be a huge asset to display their capabilities/samples/work. Once cabinet face style, color, and stone color were picked out, Marlyn/Alex sent over an itemized contract which seemed reasonably priced for the work they proposed. It is worth noting that Legacy Stone (Mario/Alex/Sebastian) don't have a CSLB General Contractor Class B license themselves. Rather, they pull permits under their RMO (My Kitchen 2 GO DBA Medallo Construction LIC#1098027). A company working under the license of an RMO is a legal practice in California - as weird as it sounds. They do carry general liability, but not workers compensation. All this to say, we're waiting on final electrical inspection but the installation process went smoothly. Installation took about a day with two follow-up visits to finish up a few minor tasks (trim, cleaning countertop before handoff, etc). Mario/Alex/Sebastian/Brian were respectful, clean, professional, and did great work. They laid down ram board floor protector during install, vacuumed/swept as needed, and washed down our driveway of debris. Overall, I'd be happy to work with Legend Stone again. read more

I was compensated from this company approx $500 for the unprofessionalism, having to fabricate counters twice because of their errors and because they did not install. Even though very specific templates were done and I stood there with them during templates to request very specific over hang, edge size, clean crisp miter edge, back splash inch size, they were still done wrong. AFTER I received the counters here are the new issues that I was not compensated for. I paid $1500 AFTER I was comp'd $500. Here are the fab issues that I was NOT compensated for! see photos The sink cutout is extremely crooked and visible. The center faucet hole not center of the sink! The edge has two holes/ black marks right on front where it was sanded too hard and nothing was put on it to even fix. Like epoxy or? Back has a chip which isn't that huge of a deal with back splash covering it. But still not ok. Corner has yellow patched rather than being color matched. slab with no edge was sanded over top too hard when all I asked for it to be polished. We used Legend Stone for 3 recent projects 1. Office upgrades 2. Bathroom vanity update 3. Kitchen updates (tile & quartz) and were incredibly pleased. They are a local family owned business that is incredibly responsive. They were knowledgeable and thorough. If you have to live in your house while you do the work (most of us do) let's face it isn't truly clean until it is done, but they made a real effort to sweep and pickup trash nightly (this hasn't always been my experience) they also tried when possible to get things as functional as possible for the weekend. During the kitchen and bathroom projects we encountered unplanned problems. In the bathroom we found a leak coming from the upstairs bathroom. They tracked down the issue and presented me with the additional work needed. In the kitchen we found a prior leak had rotted some of the cabinets. They again provided options. We ended up going with their recommendation to replace the 4 bad cabinets with stock ones. They sourced cabinets that were style wise an almost perfect match and had them in a few days... We hired Legend Stone to do a full remodel of our new home and couldn't be happier! Alex worked with us from the start and guided us on things to add and had some really great suggestions we ended up going with. We had multiple design changes for the kitchen during the process and they were nothing but helpful and considerate. They took the home down to the studs. Raised framed down ceilings, flooring, paint, complete new kitchen (cabinets, countertops, installed new appliances and fixtures), recessed lighting, added a bigger bay window and backsplash among many other items. My husband found this company and reached out to them. We had them do our countertops, backsplash and our fireplace. They were very responsive and they took the time to meet us at different places to show us around at different countertop and backsplash companies. The communication is amazing! Sebastian responds pretty quickly to all our questions and inquiries. We decided upon Quartz (calacatta trevi) from MSI for the countertop and a hexagon shaped backsplash, which is also from MSI. The demo and measurements took a total of one day. Before they did anything, they lined our kitchen floors to protect them from any damages or from being dirty. Sebastian told me to put towels in all my drawers to cover them to protect them from all the debris prior to demo. Such a great idea because on demo day there was a TON of debris on the towels. After the demo, he told me to REMOVE the towels and shake them out and there was no need to put them back. I wish he told me to put the towles back on because it was a very bad idea to remove them. When they put in the new plywood, all that wood dust and debris all fell onto my utensils and dishes! It's a pain in the butt to rewash everything and clean the drawers. *TIP - you should shake off your towels that were used during demo, but PUT THEM BACK ON and leave them on until the job is completely done. The install went well, they did an amazing job! The joints look great and the caulking was filled in nicely! After the detached our stove and sink, they reattached it when they were done. BUT... I would highly suggest that you double check it because when they reattached our stove, the gas line was leaking because it wasn't screwed on tight enough and our sink leaked when we ran the dishwasher so we had to fix it. When they installed the back splash, they put it to match the length of our counter and not our cabinets. They said that's how they usually do it, but I didn't care for it. So when they came back the next day I had them remove that area and align it where my cabinets ended instead. After we repaired and repainted the wall, it looked SO much better! *TIP - it's hard to imagine your backsplash without the grout in, but just trust them when they say, "Once the grout is in, it will look SO much better!" Because it totally does! At the end of everything there were some areas/spots we wanted them to touch up and they did it with no problems. After the kitchen was done they installed the pieces for the fireplace and it looks amazing! Overall, this project took a bit longer than anticipated but they did a great job and we're happy with the way it turned out. Our kitchen looks bigger and brighter than before! read more

When we decided to undergo a refresh for our kitchen, I went straight to Yelp to search for a contractor. While utilizing Yelp's estimate request within the app, Legend Stone popped up as an optional contractor to request an additional bid from. After reading their 5-star reviews, I decided to add Legend Stone to my list of potentials, and I'm so glad I did! Alex was the first to respond out of 5 other requests, and he was the only one to come to our house to measure out our kitchen countertop and discuss what needed to be done. Alex promptly returned an estimate to us, and shared that Legend Stone is a small family run business started by his father, Mario, who has almost 20 years of experience in stone fabrication/installation, and sincerely promised Legend Stone would deliver professional quality work. Throughout the process, Alex, communication (via text) was always prompt and responsive. Legend Stone demoed our existing old granite and hauled it away, then fabricated and installed new quartz countertops, along with our new sink, faucet and accessories. They reinstalled our old stovetop that we wanted to keep. Regarding the process, Alex came out to demo one morning, and Mario (and his wife -- so cute, right?! Truly a family business!) arrived later in the day to create the quartz templates. Mario invited us to come to his fabrication shop to confirm where the templates would be placed on the quartz slabs. Since we had thick veining on the quartz, we wanted to be sure the veining was prominent and directionally aligned on the counters and backsplash. Once the fabrication of the quartz was complete, they confirmed a date to came back to install everything, which took one long day. Everyone was super pleasant and so hard-working! Mario remodeled my fireplace and did a good job. Legend Stone is a family business led by Mario, his wife and two sons. He was great in working with me on my limited budget and tight timeline. The existing fireplace was surrounded by ugly greenish marble-ish tile that may have been popular 30 years ago. Mario did demo of the tile and supporting drywall. In place of that, he put up new drywall, granite ledger tile and a single large piece of quartz for the floor in front of the fireplace. It all came out pretty nicely, and a huge improvement over what used to be there. I had about a 1 week window within which i needed to get flooring, painting, electrical and this fireplace all remodeled. Mario was great in working around my schedule and did demo one night, and the wall open so that my electrical guys could more easily route some cables behind the wall. Then he came back a couple days later to close up and finish. He met with me several times as we went over quote, material, measurements, etc and was very accommodating to my pickiness.
